    Food to go

Food was good, service is quick, staff is friendly. Worth a stop, if you're craving authentic Mexican food. It's casual and clean and perfect for to go ordering

Highly reccomend the pastor, it is my favorite! This picture is pastor and marinated chicken

I love love the Al pastor very much. I usually only get this meat every time. Happy hour is until 6pm which is super nice. 3 tacos (limited meat options but decent) for $6! The employees are friendly and it is fast service. You order than sit down. They have a nice sitting area outside that my friend and I love. Also good salsa bar very fresh! Recommendations/ concerns- -Add asada back to the happy hour tacos because it's not an option - they used to give chips with each order wether you are eating happy hour or normal tacos and now you have to pay for a basket. My friend and I really loved to come here for chips and tacos but now it's gotten expensive since we have to buy the chips. We passed on the chips last time to keep our order decently priced!

Okay, guys and gals, you should check out this place. Why? The food is good! The price is very reasonable in my opinion. (you can check out the menu in my pics and blowup the photo to get the prices). My wife and I had happy hour chicken tacos 3 different ways, excellent toppings with it. The salsas were fresh delicious varieties. In addition we also had the nachos with beef! It was so loaded we couldn't finish it so we asked for a box and took the rest home. Meal came with chips. The folks were nice and friendly. Restaurant was simple and clean. Plenty of parking upstairs in the parking garage. Movie theater is around the corner so you can get a bite to eat before or after a movie!

Decided to come here after reading lots of positive reviews about this place & gave it a go. On the menu there is a large selection of various meat choices you can choose from which I really liked a lot. The service was good & quick. The food I tried is the California super burrito. I was intrigued on getting this because the California super burrito has French fries in it & I haven't been to a Mexican restaurant that has a dish like that. I can't rate the crunch factor on the French fries as I ordered mine to go & ate it at a later time, tho the burrito was delicious. The salsa bar was really clean, I got the mild salsa & it was really good! Perfect amount of acidity & flavor to it.

We came in around 9:10 PM and immediately smelled strong bleach. We ordered one burrito and one carne asada plate, and both were terrible. My boyfriend asked for light black beans, but they added extra. The carne asada was so dry and bland it seemed boiled. The tomatoes were awful too, please never serve them like that again you might as well put them in the salsa. Around 9:30, a staff member started cleaning the restroom, and the whole restaurant smelled like cleaning chemicals while we were eating. It was also freezing inside. I wish I could give 0 stars

Amazing food! We come here for take out often and it never disappoints. They also have a great salsa bar.

Wife and I had lunch here today. Was pretty busy with a mix of shoppers and construction workers. I got the salsa verde plate and wife got the carne wet burrito. They have a salsa bar, which we like, but you ask for chips. Food came out fast and it was tasty. Wife's wet burrito looked great: had red sauce and a lot of pico de gallo on top, which I've never seen before. My salsa verde was well seasoned. Self serve soda machine too. All in all, good choice for lunch.

    Shrimp fajitas with black beans

We've enjoyed Taqueria Extra at work twice in the last month and a half. I had the shrimp fajitas the first time and the shrimp burrito today. Both are good but the fajitas were somewhat salty for my liking. Maybe it was an off day when I had the fajitas in early August, as the burrito I had today was nowhere near as salty. I love that they offer spinach tortillas and the ability to customize orders (type of beans, tortilla, extras). I've never been to the actual location so I can't comment on the atmosphere and service. Their breakfast options, especially the breakfast burrito and chilaquiles, looked tasty so I may try one of those next time. With an extensive menu that has something for everyone, I don't think it will be too long before we have another lunch from Taqueria Extra!

I ordered four tacos--two beef, one carnitas, and one grilled chicken. All tasted fantastic. Chips and salsa are very carefully measured, but tasty. Service was extremely fast. The dining room is bright and clean and there's a TV for those who might want to see a sports event. All around a good dining experience.

The zucchini was cooked perfectly and not overcooked or soggy at all, which made the whole burrito taste fresh and flavorful. We also got the appetizer with the chips, zucchini, arugula, and cheese and that ended up being one of my favorite dishes. Everything paired together really well and had a lot of flavor without feeling too heavy. I also tried the mango margarita with tajín on the rim and really liked it because it wasn't overly sweet. Super refreshing and balanced. The Dude ordered the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and really enjoyed those as well. Customer service was also really good. They checked on us periodically throughout the meal and everyone was friendly and attentive without hovering. Overall the restaurant felt clean, relaxed, and comfortable. Definitely a spot we would come back to again. Especially a lot of vegetarian options ! Vegetarian approved!!!

Located in the small shopping area off Contra Costa, right across from Pizza My Way, you will find…read moreEl Aguila Mexican Cuisine. First off, the place is pretty big. There's a ton of seating inside, and everything is very spacious. Though, I do have to say it always feels incredibly empty for some reason and there's never anybody actually inside outside of a few tables, but they do have tons of takeout so perhaps that's the tradeoff. However, don't let the lack of eating patrons inside the place put you off. This taqueria offers a good variety of different options as any taqueria would offer, and many of the options have pictures and stuff with it. The service here is, kind of hit or miss. The people in the front usually aren't overly friendly, and will sometimes feel like they're just there until the clock turns work over. Sometimes they're bordering on rude as they just kind of give you an indifferent stare as you're ordering, or will just feel as if they're half listening and not even looking up. The service was a bit better when I dined in, so perhaps maybe it's just the takeout, although it's usually the same person for both. Price wise, it's certainly not going to be cheap. If you want the best bang for your buck around here, El Aguila probably won't be it as there's a plethora of taquerias in this area. Food quality wise, it's pretty good overall. There are some tasty dishes here that will certainly warrant the little bit of extra cost here compared to other places. Things that I have tried here are the burritos and the torta. The burritos here are yummy as they they will have ingredients inside the burrito that is slightly different than your cookie cutter burrito at any other place. It really does help adds layers of flavor to it that other places do not offer. However, the best part of it is indeed the fact they grill the outside of the burrito to get that nice flakiness that wrap, and makes it a oh so rewarding experience. Meat portions was okay, but wish it had more especially for the cost. The torta I got was pretty good, as the ingredients inside were pretty typical so nothing really stood out. The break was toasted well, but I do wish it was a bit softer as it may have been to toasted. Should be toasted outside and soft inside, but this one just felt toasted all over. The meat portion also suffers from the same issue as the burrito as that it's not as generous as it could be. However, the flavors and taste were fine. It's certainly a nice place for those who want a bit of a different style of their Mexican cuisine. They have some flavors here that will be atypical of most of the cookie cutter taquerias around. While they are a bit expensive comparatively, the portions are actually decent (minus the meats). You can certainly be filled with just a single burrito. Worth a visit.

Something cool about ordering tacos here is upon ordering two, you can grab complimentary sides that include cactus, radishes, grilled onion, and beans. There's also the cutest bottles of hot sauce on the table for your meal. The service was quick and friendly, ambiance was fun and vibrant. Would be fun to come back for a marg at the bar. Im pleased to hear they do look into these things and try to make things whole. I've been to this restaurant a dozen times since working in alamo in the past. Last time I'm coming here. When I got there they gal read the tag that had my phone order for a REGULAR burrito. I was charged $17 but with tax it was over $18. I called later in the day and the lady on the phone said the regular is 12.99. Im lactose intolerant so I don't do dairy which the super has. Anyways I find this business practice repulsive and will not be returning. I hope this review gets views and reconsider patronizing at this establishment. Huge thumbs down. They don't seem to value customers. I called them after finding out they did me dirty overcharging me. The employee told me the owner/management was out of town. I reached out to them on instagram in attempt to inform ownership/management of what is happening. The person responding on instagram told me they are out of town. I never got a follow up from them. Who knows if they actually investigated what happened because I didn't get a follow up. I could care less about the extra few dollars they took. If they have an employee intentionally overcharging then they need to correct it. It's simple as that. All the info is in the photo I included in the review if they choose to investigate.

Don't let the underwhelming plaza and ambiance fool you--the staff are great, and the food itself is incredibly flavorful and tasty. As soon as you are seated, they immediately serve you warm tortilla chips alongside salsa and a warm, cheesy bean dip that is absolutely amazing. The entrees completely delivered on flavor: * Wet Super Burrito: I got this with steak, and it was delicious. It comes loaded with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. My only minor critique is that the guacamole was just okay, and hopefully they can improve that flavor in the future. * Ground Beef Enchilada: My son got this, served with rice and beans. It came out perfectly warm, very flavorful, and he absolutely loved it. * Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas: My wife ordered these, and they were served on a fantastic, sizzling skillet. To drink, we ordered a pitcher of frozen margaritas, which was nice and refreshing. We also finished the meal with the flan for dessert, which was not bad at all. Our only real complaint was a situational one regarding the outdoor seating. The wind was causing the outdoor drapes to repeatedly hit the metal frame, creating a loud, disturbing noise throughout our meal. Aside from that background noise, it was a wonderful lunch. If you are looking for excellent flavor and great service, this place is well worth the visit!
