Chicken tacos! $10?! CRAZY DEAL!
Michelangelo M.

THE TACOS ARE SOOOO GOOD!!! I have seen this place for YEAR and though it was odd looking at first then realized it's a food trailer connected to a patio! Such an amazing family running this place! The prices are good too! $3 per taco? Especially with how much they stuff the tacos! Hands down favorite place!

They have credit card service now!! The answer is yes yes and yes. This is so authentic. The barbacoa is amazing. Tortillas amazing. Service amazing. And the coolest ambiance with a little touch of street tacos you'd get in Mexico. My favorite burrito in Houston to date.

This is my go-to taco place. People are always great here and the tacos are . Breakfast tacos or lunch and dinner - it's all great! Cash only. Salsa verde is the only way to go. You can't go wrong with Taqueria Eva!

The barbacoa tacos are delicious and the best I e ever had . The meat is full of flavor and the flour tortillas are so soft . They are very generous with the portion of meat in taco and fixings on the side .

Fajita Burrito is absolutely the best one I've had in Houston. Meat is really well seasoned. Overall, just really well crafted.

I can honestly say that it was the best Mexican food i have ever had. The price was too low for such genuine food & I recommend everything.

Not so great. Cheese was super thick and chewy, meat was not the best. It wasn't nasty, but not the best. A bit over priced as well.

Our waiter was excellent and gave solid recommendations. I ordered the blueberry margarita and it was sooo good--sweet, refreshing, and definitely a win. Our waiter suggested the smokehouse platter to share, and we added an order of truffle fries. Let me just say... those truffle fries were AMAZING. Thick-cut, crispy, and full of flavor--hands down the best thing on the table. The smokehouse platter was more than enough food for two people. The brisket sliders were tender and flavorful, the wings were great, the pickled peppers were a nice touch, and the ribs were finger-licking good. The only downside was the potato skins--they were just meh compared to everything else. Overall, great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. I would definitely go back, especially for a date night or casual dinner.

The place is inside a hotel but has access from both outside and inside the hotel lobby. SERVICE: We sat at the bar, received our menus and asked for two coffees, which never came. A while later, a different server/bartender asked if you want drinks we requested a coffee again. We had to request various items multiple times from multiple people before they were actually brought over to us. No big deal, we weren't in any particular rush, but have you ever gotten that feeling like you're bothering the server every time you ask for something? That was that feeling. I was still eating when we were handed our check. We paid. We were planning on staying for mimosas after eating, so we asked for 2 mimosas we were handed our drinks with a check. Again, the place was not busy, to the extent that the staff was hanging out and talking in a group. (That doesn't bother me, we all deserve some adult conversation.) We felt in the way so we paid and decided to go elsewhere for some mimosas. FOOD: I had the waffle with a side of bacon. Waffle was served warm, crisp & soft as a waffle should be. It was nice and thick and a great size, plus it was delicious! I couldn't finish it, I was soo full! The pecan butter was scrumptious and the berries were fresh and sweet. Both in great proportion to the waffle. The bacon was crispy and served warm. Overall a delicious and plentiful breakfast. CLEANLINESS: The place was clean, clean. The bar, general restaurant area and bathrooms were all spic & span.

From the jump, the vibe was relaxed but polished--perfect for eating alone without feeling awkward or rushed. The space was bright, clean, and had that easy brunch energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The food? Solid. I went the savory route and everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside (as they should be), and the eggs were fluffy and flavorful without being drowned in nonsense. You can tell this is a kitchen that knows breakfast and doesn't need to show off about it. I also treated myself to a cocktail because... brunch. It was light, refreshing, and balanced--nothing too sweet, nothing too heavy. Basically the kind of drink that makes you sit back and say, "Yeah, I made the right choice today." Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, which I appreciate when I'm dining solo. I had everything I needed, when I needed it, and never felt forgotten. All in all, this was a really enjoyable brunch experience. Great food, good drinks, chill atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back--solo or with company. Sometimes you just need a good plate, a good drink, and your own peace, and Another Broken Egg delivered all three.

We were in Houston from Dallas for a baseball tournament and decided to stop by House of Pies…read more After hearing so many people talk about it, we had to see what all the hype was about, and it definitely did not disappoint. The selection of pies is incredible. Honestly, I can't think of anywhere in the Dallas area that offers this kind of variety. If you're a pie lover, this place feels like paradise. The highlight of our visit was the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. In all my years living in Texas, I don't think I've ever seen strawberry rhubarb pie offered at a restaurant. It was absolutely amazing, especially when paired with a scoop of ice cream. We also tried the Chocolate Cream Pie, French Black Bottom Pie, and Coconut Cream Pie, and every single one was excellent. Each pie had a fresh, homemade quality that made it easy to see why this place has such a loyal following. The food was fresh, hot, and served promptly. Beyond the food, the customer service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, polite, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a great experience. It's becoming increasingly rare to find that level of service, and it made a positive impression on us. The overall experience reminded me of Marie Callender's, but with better food and a much larger personality. There's a nostalgic charm to House of Pies that makes you want to stay a little longer and save room for another slice. The only thing preventing me from giving a full five-star review is the non-transparent service fee. I would much rather see menu prices increased by 2-3% and have the fee eliminated altogether. The final cost would be the same, but the pricing would feel more straightforward and customer-friendly. That minor criticism aside, House of Pies was one of the highlights of our trip to Houston. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and, of course, more pie.

Anthony was our server and was super cool, you can tell he enjoys working there and puts forth the effort into making it a pleasant experience. Now to the food! We started with Holiday coffee. I got a hot snickerdoodle coffee it was really good. 4/5 could've been hotter but also could've been bc I was releasing a thought when it arrived. My husband got a hot snickers coffee 4/5 more of a flavor drink than a coffee (for all my avid coffee drinkers iykyk) Next I got the triple jam. Ended up being too much food for me but soo delicious and fresh! The portions sizes are very generous for the price. it came with 3eggs I got scrambled, turkey sausage, hashbrowns AND a waffle w a side of maple butter everything made in house! 5/5. My husband got biscuits and gravy! Comes with 3 biscuits and gravy like I said very generous portions! He also added a side of scrambled eggs. She loved it! 5/5 Anthony was so kind and sweet he offered a piece of peppermint fudge on the way out, that will be featured on the upcoming holiday menu! It was sooo delicious. Anthony was our server and was very personable and attentive. Bottom line the food is good and we will be back. We ordered chicken wings to go.
