The owners of TAQ have opened a fun little sweet treat window called TAQ Treats. I spotted when I was enjoying Spencer's Day Wine on their 'patio' space.
I immediately b-lined over to enjoy their frozen yogurt. And let me give you some context, ~15 years ago when froyo was ALL the craze on the coasts. I was a STAN. I was driving almost an hour away on a weekly basis to enjoy this type of froyo. It's non-sweetened and a bit tangy, so not like TCBY and such.
As TAQ touts, theirs is traditional Greek yogurt - "TAQ FROYO IS AUTHENTICALLY GREEK -- TANGY & TART, NO SWEETENER! ALL OF THE SWEETNESS COMES FROM THE TOPPINGS! WE MAKE IT RIGHT HERE AT TAQ EVERY DAY WITH 5 REAL, ALL-NATURAL INGREDIENTS. HIGH IN PROTEIN, TONS OF PROBIOTICS. NO ADDITIVES OR PRESERVATIVES, EVER!"
For up to 3 toppings, it's about $8, which is a pretty penny but I enjoyed it. I got baklava, fig and pistachio.
They also have non-Froyo desserts, which also sound divine!
