Great drinks, friendly staff and great music. Love the family friendly setting. Had a lot of fun getting tipsy and dancing the night away at an Emo Nite event they had.

We had a BLAST celebrating St. Patrick's weekend at Tap Yard! I really loved the layout, the different bars, the options to experience different atmospheres, and the drink specials. The 7 piece Irish band was great! We sang! We danced! The staff members were all super nice. I see they have live bands all the time, they host trivia nights and karaoke nights, and they always have something going on. We will definitely be back!!

I'm fond of the spaciousness of Tap Yard and the fact that they are dog-friendly both indoors and outdoors. The cocktails were decent, and I was pleased to find a taco food truck on site when I visited in the evening. The staff at Tap Yard were friendly and made me feel valued. I wouldn't mind returning in the future. For dog owners, Tap Yard is an excellent choice, and I wholeheartedly endorse it. It's the perfect place to enjoy a nightcap and bring my four-legged baby.

A new option for beer and wine in an odd spot between Wake Forest Road and Capital Blvd. Located in a slightly industrial area, don't let the front of Tap Yard fool you! They are still in soft open mode and working on the front room, head down the side of the building to the back where you'll find another entry door to the area that has finished construction. Inside it's a wide open space with a U-shaped bar and a smattering of tables and games. Very casual, neighborhood feel to the space. They are still working on getting more taps into the space so it's primarily beer in cans right now. Overall I like the feel of the space, they've also got a nice back patio and some other construction going on outside so it should be like a funky and smaller Bowstring Brewyard which is right down the street. Curious to see what else they add before their official, grand opening.

Tap Yard is a fun time. They have beer, wine, cocktails, spirits and non-alcoholic options. I like the spacious outdoor area, it's good for groups of all sizes. In addition to having games outside they also have some inside, my favorite was the small rubber duck claw machine. Check out their website and/or social media pages for their social events and food truck schedule. Cheers!

a new, upcoming bar in raleigh that's having soft openings every friday & saturday up until their grand opening in april! we came by in the evening because of the cellist brianna tam that my cousin told us about. once we arrived, there was a sign that told us to use the side door which lead us to an outdoor area with food trucks, a huge kiddy pool, & bon fire area! we noticed the sound of cellist inside the bar & it was such a cozy place inside. we sat down at a table near the stage & there were qr codes for the menu & to order food/drinks. my sister ordered a mimosa & waited a while before checking with the bar to see if they received the order, which they had to check their device to confirm they did (usually there would be a receipt printed) & then her drink was brought out shortly after. it was pretty quiet for a saturday evening given that the unc vs duke game was happening, which they did have the channel on for customers at the bar who wanted to watch. it was a great time, honestly! loved the duality of having live music & entertainment at the bar area as well as arcade games! their bathrooms were accessible & still in the process of finalizing decoration but it was very clean, even had some tampons/pads for the ladies! we ended up ordering a few more drinks, each time they did receive the order & was brought out to us within 10 minutes. overall, we loved the intimacy of the bar as there were lots of different seating styles & loved how the outdoor was so festive as well! imo, definitely going to be pretty popular once they're fully up & running!

I'm not a huge beer drinker but was still impressed at the plethora of options (International beer on the 2nd floor, Domestic Beer on the first floor, and a separate liquor bar on the first floor as well). So if you are looking for a LOT OF BEER OPTIONS, this is a good place to start/try. I tried a flight of ciders because that's as close to beer as I would typically get (I've attempted to try so many with beer fest but I just can't get into it) and I couldn't choose what I wanted so I had the wonderful bartender select them for me. She provided amazing, friendly service because as indecisive as I can be, she was very patient. For a meal, I order the Jalapeño burger and it was delicious. The jalapeño is basically the sauce that gives the kick you're looking for, not actual jalapeños, and it comes with plenty of fries. Again, I left not a single crumb lol This place is really cool inside and looks like something out of a fairytale with the trees growing through the restaurant. I love plants and nature so for me it was everything. I'd love to see it at night and check out how it's lit up, certain it looks beautiful!

We all shared an order of fries for the table, which were amazing. Then I got the grain bowl with shrimp, and everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. My husband enjoyed his biscuits and gravy with fried chicken- so tender and decedent. Our friends enjoyed their meal, too, and enjoyed the apple custard for dessert. The mocktails were also delicious- I loved one with hibiscus and ginger. So nice to have a bunch of mocktail options! The ambiance was just as great as it was 8 years ago- spacious and light. The server was great, and let us linger for a few hours without hovering. Hope to be back sooner than another 8 years from now!

Seriously, if you can't find a pour you like here, you may just need water instead. Started with the biscuits topped with crackling and house-made preserves, and honestly, that combo alone made me question why I don't eat more biscuits in life. Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived. Overall though? Still a solid meal, strong whiskey program, cool atmosphere, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Raleigh looking for a bourbon-forward dinner spot. Travelin_Broke approved with a slight side-eye from the greens.

I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

We came in today with reasonable expectations after finding the restaurant online and seeing mostly positive reviews. We ordered several items to share as a family: broccoli cheddar soup, a French dip sandwich with green beans, and poutine fries. Unfortunately, the broccoli cheddar soup was very bland and lacked seasoning. We had a few bites and ended up leaving the rest. The French dip was the standout of the meal. While the meat itself was a bit dry, dipping it in the au jus made it the most enjoyable and edible item we ordered. The poutine fries were disappointing. They were very basic and didn't resemble what I would expect from poutine--more like prepackaged frozen fries that had been deep-fried. We didn't finish them and left most behind, though we still paid for them. Our child wouldn't eat any of the food, so we ordered the fried ravioli appetizer, hoping it would be similar to versions we've had elsewhere. Sadly, that was another letdown. Although we were told there was no breading, the texture suggested otherwise. This was the one item we did send back. I wouldn't recommend this location for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities, as much of the food appears to be made from frozen or prepackaged items. That said, our server was absolutely wonderful--the highlight of the visit. She was kind, attentive, kept our drinks refilled, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Her sweet demeanor and constant smile were honestly the reason we didn't complain more at the time. While I wouldn't return for the food, I might consider stopping by again strictly for drinks during a sporting event. Otherwise, this just wasn't the dining experience we were hoping for.
