Pesto - Pao De Queijo
Haley H.

Wow! Blown away by the flavor and good vibes of this place! I stopped in when they had a live DJ on the patio on a Saturday. Never had Brazilian food but this was so tasty. The Pesto Pao De Queijo was a delicious chewy, cheesy ball of goodness. And the Lean Steak Club Panini had a yummy cheesy bread with flavorful steak and toppings Definitely need to come back to try their açaí and tapioca Friendly staff and quick service too

Delicious surprise. After walking around one morning I came in for a smoothie. But the menu was so interesting I had to give it a try. I tried the bacon egg and cheese on a Pao de quejo bun . Wow best sandwich ever! Light and cheesy . I also had a bite of the chicken club on tapioca, very nice. I had some of their free mint water and to go ordered a Peanut butter açaí smoothie. I was stuffed. What a delicious treat this was to find. The vibes were there and service was friendly.

As a celiac I was in heaven when I saw that this is a 100% gluten free facility. They even had signs saying no outside for or drinks so I definitely felt safe eating there. The food was delicious & the service was just as good. The staff was patient & knowledgeable. Delicious Pao de queijo & the paninis were insanely good! There's also amazing cookies & other dessert options. Can't wait to go back!

Power Bowl - delicious and filling

I've ordered the Power Bowl on repeat for delivery. It's my favorite açai bowl. Their granola is so good and stays crunchy even once you mix it in. The milk powder really adds a nice dimension to the açai. I haven't been in their physical space yet, but I've walked past and have seen people in the ample outdoor seating area

Went here the first weekend TAP opened and wow was it popular. They had $1 deals on baby acai bowls and cheese bread that day so I tried both. I have to say the cheese bread is very delicious and is definitely best fresh - I bought another for regular price for my fiance at home and it's still good but not the same 4 hours later. The acai bowl was great and had a refreshing, slightly minty taste that made it stand out amongst other acai bowls I've had. The inside of the restaurant is pretty nice, though crowded since I visited during the first weekend. There are a few tables and seats, and the glass entrance helps see the restaurant form the outside. Overall, I'd come back if I'm in the Ditmars area if I'm craving healthy food or cheeeeeesy bread. There are a lot of really exciting restaurants opening up these days in the neighborhood so here's to hoping they stay ahead of the rest!

Decided to do a pick-up from a local Queens spot today . I was intrigued by the menu, you can't help but feel good about healthy when you order from here. I tried a special they are current running $7.00 for 2 Pão de Queijo - Brazilian Cheese Bread - I tried the traditional cheese and the spicy one . (They also have a pesto choice) . They were both tasty, very airy in the inside, but at the same time filling . My next choice was the BaconEggNCheese - made with a mix of tapioca flour and organic eggs filled with crispy bacon, eggs and mozzarella. This also was so incredible and although it would seem like a heavy sandwich, the outside was completely light. But filling nonetheless. The inside of TAP NYC is cozy and refreshing. Small tables to dine in as well and a couch to really have a nice cup of coffee and a cheese bread. Such a nice addition to Queens , especially for the gluten-free community.

Love that there are so many gluten free options! The steak sandwich and coconut brownie are delicious, I can't wait to try more items.

Was drawn to TAP to try their tapioca sandwich which is a unique option, even in a neighborhood full of Brazilian eateries. They also excel at having a variety of fresh pao de queijo flavors, such as pesto and spicy. Well-worth the visit, even as I discovered the actual tapioca wasn't for me--which is a mark of a good restaurant: where you can try something new (to you), find out it's not your style, and still enjoy the experience. Everything was full of flavor and fresh. The avocado was a bit too puréed for me, which made the texture a bit mushy. But otherwise enjoyable. Service was noticeably thoughtful: the server waited until a particular moment to heat up the pao de queijo, so it would be ready exactly when the sandwich was, and they packaged up the items with care. Service stood out to me here. The ambiance is of a cafe, sometimes busy, sometimes not. It was towards the end of the day, so it needed some sweeping and straightening up, but it overall seemed to be a place that is well-kept. I would look forward to returning to try a pao de queijo panini.

Waited 30 min to take lean steak club in pao de queijo panini to-go before work but 100% worth it.

Feeling very sorry for myself, I wandered over to a great looking restaurant at Laguardia featuring steak, steak, and more steak. Yum. I ordered a 12 oz New York Strip steak, medium rare, French fries, a beautiful melange of mushrooms, and a Ceasar salad. I also ordered a wonderful bottle of Pinot Noir. A bottle you say???!!!! Well, after all, I had 6 hours to kill. The Fries came long before the steak. This is a positive if you are starving. This is a negative if you are trying to balance your carbs with your protein. I also love fries with mayonnaise, not with ketchup. That is why I ordered mayonnaise and was very disappointed to find little plastic packets of mayonnaise delivered to me instead of something befitting the sixty dollar steak had just ordered. In all, my meal, without the wine, was $100 total. And yet, plastic packets. I digress. The steak arrived, and it was actually quite perfect.......perfectly cooked and juicy .....very flavorful. The mushrooms were plentiful and richly flavored. The steak came with a nice sized salad. So frankly, I never got to eat the small caesar that I ordered extra. So if I were you, I would skip any extra salad...go with the plate salad. The wine was decadent. Luscious and smooth...yum. the service was really quite good, but be prepared to order off your phone for the most part. So, if you are stuck at Laguardia, are hungry, have a $190 bucks to spare and don't mind small plastic packets of condiments....run...don't walk, to this Steakhouse.

Breakfast was over as of 10:39am on a Sunday. Order Cheese burger and Turkey club, both with fries. Sandwiches were good, fries were potato bits and cold. Try reordering, same outcome. Servers are stressed, so we had to waive one down for a refill on coffee and water. Do yourself a favor, get something better at Chopt. At least it would be healthier.

The outside might not strike you as a cafe as they have dark tinted windows of very minimalist design and just the word 'verse' printed in white. When you walk in the cafe has some seating and most people were on laptops working. It's a very lowkey vibe with calm music playing in the background. The highlight are the seasonal drinks! I first came when they had the persimmon matcha and I was MINDBLOWN- can't wait for it to come back. This time I went and grabbed the earl grey lavender matcha and the strawberry matcha both delicious. The flavor of matcha is rich and good. Would highly encourage you to try it out. Friend said the strawberry matcha was one of the best she ever had. From what I know as well they make all their jams and purees fresh in house! The matcha is at a bit of a hefty price tag of $8 just about after tax but in my option -- worth it! Unfortunately don't have the pic of the persimmon matcha but it was the star out of all 3.

Why 4 stars? Because these arepas were different, but enjoyable…read more --- --- --- To-date, I apparently have only had Venezuelan arepas and wasn't aware of how different Colombian arepas were. Colombian arepas (or at least the ones here) come with a sweet, corn tortilla and are more open faced: to be eaten with a fork. In the past, I've had flour tortillas that are designed more like a taco and eaten as a handheld. So despite the differences, I (and my friends) enjoyed our meal. Let the official record state, I ordered the arepas con queso with chorizo. We had plans to eat our way through Jackson Heights, but because a couple of the places we planned to visit were closed, we actually just mostly hung out here and enjoyed our arepas of the sweet and open-faced variety. It was a good afternoon.

Before this, if someone mentioned arepas, I probably would have confused them with pupusas, which I'd only seen at street fairs and thought of as more of a sweet item. I had no idea they came in savory versions too. I went with the carne asada arepa, and the beef was fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. It's so common for places to overcook little chunks of beef, but here it was perfect. Each arepa is big enough to split between two people, so the price feels very fair. The filling was generous, with beef packed inside and even overflowing out the sides. They also serve the arepas with a rack of five or six sauces to choose from. Some were spicy, and one had a sweet condensed milk flavor if you like a mix of sweet and savory. My go to ended up being this green mayonnaise sauce which I assumed was like some sort of a lime mayo, which added the perfect tartiness to the rich cheese filling.
