Eggs Benedict with savory breakfast potatoes
    Gregory C.

Well, it's been twelve years since I had breakfast here last. Not a fan of pre-paying for food (and tip!!!), but I guess they had some people skip out on their bills. Anyway, my Eggs Benedict was on point, and the savory breakfast potatoes were indeed savory. A satisfying pre-flight breakfast with the requisite high airport prices.

TLDR; airport food, airport prices, met expectations. This restaurant has addressed A LOT of the feedback other Yelpers left years ago. No more iPads (order with a QR code on your phone) and wait staff checked in sufficiently. It's a great place to eat, relax or get work done. I got a Caesar salad and added steak which came out to ~$30. I enjoyed my meal! It came out quickly and tasted good.

Loud, I couldn't hear myself think over the banging and pounding noise coming from the kitchen. I finally asked the bartender if they were building back there. He said no but the cook was beating the crap out of chicken. It was so loud . The service was ok. It's USA airport expensive so a complete rip off but the best of what terminal C has to offer.

Pretty decent place to get a bite to eat in Terminal D in LGA. Before we get to the review. Since Prime is inside of an airport, we already know that the prices are going to be sky-high (no pun). Compared to other airport restaurants, I'll say that Prime Tavern is in my top third, primarily due to the nice ambiance. Order using an iPad makes life a breeze. *Remember to sanitize/wash your hands after using any restaurant's iPad ordering system.* For my breakfast, I went with the Canadian bacon & cheese omelet plus a side of sausage. Also, for me, no preflight breakfast is complete without a Bloody Mary. Overall, the meal was fine although the omelet was prepared with that liquid egg stuff. For the ordering system, you have an option to add a breakfast cocktail. For whatever reason, the price of the add-on cocktail was more than ordering a stand alone cocktail. I think the stand alone Bloody was about $16 and add-on was about $18. So, be sure to double check the prices. My server was pretty nice and the food came out fast (maybe too fast ).

My experience here was well beyond three stars. Probably the best "airport food" I've ever had. I had the dry aged steak sandwich with grilled onions and chili aioli. It came with some refreshing greens in a light dressing and some crispy, hot fries. The steak was well seasoned and grilled perfectly, the ciabatta bread was toasted and crunchy. It was very satisfying! I also had some tasty cocktails. I had a Paloma with fizzy grapefruit soda, a pineapple rosemary margarita (my favorite and not too sweet), and a mezcal mule. All the cocktails were great, and I will try more from the menu when I return. The menu is expansive, with steaks, sandwiches, salads, wine, and cocktails. The digs are swanky, hip, and the playlist is fun and relaxing. Yes, it's expensive. For my sandwich, salad, fries, and three drinks (as well as tip and 10% covid recovery fee), it was around 125 dollars. But if you live in airports like me, a good meal in a relaxing environment is worth it. Service was great too. You order from an iPad, but the staff was nice and attentive.

Had a red-eye out and needed it something to fill my belly. Other places in the terminal didn't serve breakfast until after 5, so this is where my friend and I ended up. We were greeted right away and we were able to sit where we wanted. We chose to sit near the open kitchen. Anyway, there isn't much interaction with servers as you order off an iPad, submit your order on the iPad and pay...on the iPad. Technology at it's best. I ordered the egg breakfast which consisted of 2 eggs any style with choice of meat and potatoes. You were able to sub the potatoes for fruit for a $2.50 upcharge. The meal was very tasty. Eggs and potatoes had great flavor. Bacon was nice and crispy. I just wish there would have an option to get my bacon "well done" on the iPad. Being that we were at the airport, it was pricey. It cost over $20 including tax and tip. I can't really speak about the service as there isn't any service being done. But water was refilled promptly and it didn't take too long for the food to come out.

Cost of 1, 16oz iced tea, no refills: $4.60 Ok, I got an airline discount, but REALLY?
    Bruce M.

No free refills on iced tea..?! Congratulations, you're the first restaurant in NAmerica, Europe. At $4.60 for one Iced Tea, and a cost of less than 2 cents per glass. No refills, oh but soda--free refills.

I joined yelp specifically to give a bad review here. I ordered the fillet medium rare you will see the picture I attached and you can make your own decision from there. Don't come here find any place else.

Efficient ordering system through the tablet also allows you to track your flight so you can enjoy your meal in confidence

Now since just being Italian does not get me a reservation at the actual restaurant (you have to be a Sopranos cast member) this was as close as Ive gotten to the famous Lemon Chicken. It was really quite good and I devoured the three drumsticks I go very fast. The meat was tender and that lemon sauce had me (discreetly) sucking on the bone. Now the price...3 ittle drumsticks and a small Brisk iced tea $18.00. Yes its a ballpark so its expected and it sure beats the crap they offered at Shea but wow. That and the fact that my friend was griping that they only had blue and orange Gatorade and not her fave red and charged her 6.00 for a bottle is the reason they got dropped a star.

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

Food: 3.5/5 We made it a point to try a range of brunch options. My grandfather ordered the sweet potato and chorizo hash, I went with the two-egg combo with pork sausage (eggs over easy), and my husband chose the Moroccan eggs. Overall, the food was good and flavorful, especially if you enjoy dishes with a bit more nuance and influence from Spanish or Mexican flavors. That said, as someone who leans more toward classic American diner-style brunch, it didn't fully hit that nostalgic spot for me. It's not that anything was bad--it just wasn't the most memorable brunch I've had. Still, it was nice to explore a different side of their menu beyond the burgers, fries, and pasta we'd tried before. Service: 4/5 The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant. However, they do rely on a QR code-style menu, which can be a bit of a learning curve--especially for those who prefer a more traditional ordering experience. During the brunch rush, things definitely got busy and a bit overwhelmed, so service slowed down slightly. One tip: if you already know what you want, it's best to order everything upfront to avoid delays. Vibe: 3.5/5 Like many New York spots, space is tight. Even as a party of four, we were seated at a small square table, which could be challenging if you have strollers or extra belongings. That said, the space still feels cozy and neighborhood-friendly--great for a casual brunch, just not the most spacious. All in all, It's a solid neighborhood brunch spot with interesting, flavor-forward dishes and kind service. I wouldn't call it my top brunch destination, but I'd come back if I were in the area--especially if I was craving something a little different from the usual diner fare.
