I love love love going here. I've been going to Tanya's for probably four years now. Moved to Cali and came back and I still go to her place. I usually always have the students do my nails or eyebrows or whatever else it is I need. One, because I like to save money where I can, and two, because it's a cool experience to start with a student when they are learning and to be with them as they get better. As always, expect for the students to take longer and plan of spending more time there, but remember, you get what you pay for! Also, be sure to speak up about what you like or don't like but be kind. It will help you get what you want but it will also help the students. Overall, I enjoy the experience and the staff and the prices. You can also always opt to have a professional do your services instead as well (obviously for a higher price). The salon/beauty school is very well maintained and clean. I made an appointment for both my girls to do a full set of gel manicure and did not have any wait time and were serviced promptly. The owner Tanya took her time to understand our needs and what we really wanted and made sure her staff/ trainees were very informed. She monitored her trainees and taught them very well, her leadership shows in the way she works with her staff together both in a professional and yet friendly way.The nail technicians were very professional and maintained proper hygiene along with great care and consideration to what we asked for. I came in for a fresh acrylic set a few weeks ago (I forgot to post this). I asked for a quite short pink set with a small heart on the ring finger. While she was applying the tips and trying to file, it kept snapping off and it took 45 minutes before actually putting any acrylic powder. She starts on my right pinky and that finger takes 10 minutes alone. To apply acrylic powder on all fingers takes maybe an hour. Filing and drilling and buffing is what takes the most amount of time with maybe another hour. When she starts applying polish she does a pink color that's quite shear and only does two coats and the corners didn't get polish but she just put the designs on, put topcoat, and was done after a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Total was $30 (not including the file and buffer I had to pay for). I got what I payed for. When I got home I pulled up my comforter and TWO NAILS snapped off. FYI, this was 2 hours tops after I had paid. The next day, it was about 10 am and I slipped and landed on my finger tips, not the nails, and the vibrations broke 4 nails. By the end of the day, all nails were broken. People told me to apply press on nail glue but if it's acrylic it should last for 3-5 weeks read more

The things that I had done, there were my nails I had a gol-2facial.+skin lift was first time getting it not sure if it made much of a difference probably should have done a before and after shot Also, I had a back facial. STOP!! I went here b/c the salon I get my eyelashes done at was referring people to one of their stylists who was completing a semi permanent make up class. I thought she was at the end of her schooling and needed a bit more hours. I'll attach the flyer, you tell me what you would have thought. I take responsibility for not asking enough questions, not looking at other work this person has done, & not educating myself enough to really know what to look for or to ask for. On my end. Unfortunately there is no way this person is at the end of their schooling. She had no idea what she was doing. The teacher kept trying to fix her disaster. The disaster started out close to what I wanted. The more she messed up the farther we got. Now my eyebrows are asymmetrical , one is now closer to my midline than the other, the are two different eyebrows , one curves one is straight, two different sizes, uneven and patchy , and the color is too light. I called and her teacher said it can be fixed at the touch up . Why would I let anyone from this place go near my face? Shouldn't the teacher have caught her mistakes? When the teacher realized this woman had no clue what she was doing why did she let her continue? I wonder if the Lash Lounge knows what they are sending people into? I'm told after 4-6 weeks the eyebrows will be darker than they are now about 2 weeks out at this point. So the mess on MY FACE will get darker. Great. I went to the Lash Lounge , I paid for a consultation with a professional eyebrow artist/stylist. Apparently the touch up is when the magic happens. So if I do nothing supposedly this will come off over the next 3-4 months, she recommended I either go back to the school at that point ( 4-6 weeks) or book with someone who is not in school . Right!?! I would like an apology from this school, a refund would be nice but I won't hold my breath for it , & I want them to make it clear this service is being offered by s/o who is at the beginning of their training not at the end. There is no way in hell I will let anyone from this place go near my face again. I mean really, she couldn't see she kept trying different readers but obviously they weren't helping. If it was just little stuff I wouldn't mind, but it's everything! So if you are ok with mis matched brows, weird scratches and dots of color , asymmetrical, I could go on but I'll stop. This place deserves no stars in it deserves to be shut down, if you are thinking of buying a Groupon for the eyebrows don't do it they have students do your eyebrows, and they don't listen to what you ask them, for they just do what they want to, according to the shape of your face. My friend bought me a Groupon as a gift to this place and I went and I got my eyebrows done. She told me that I would need a touchup because I didn't have any eyebrows. The eyebrows looked fine until they started peeling. they turned gray, and she went out of line on one of my eyebrows when I went in and I told her this, she pretended that she couldn't see what I was talking about, and then later accused me of scratching myself. She was very hostile towards me. The moment I walked in and said I had an appointment and she said, what do you mean you have an appointment? I told her I have a text message showing you I have an appointment she knew it was me, and she knew I had already complained on the phone about my eyebrows so she was already being rude to me from the start. She called me a bitch and she called me a cheap ass and for that reason, I hope anyone who read this does not go into this place. Update: It has been exactly 6 days and my nails are starting to fall off. This is the first time this ever happens to me. Minus one star. Everything was fine. They made me pre-pay which was odd but not a big deal. The student that worked on me was really nice. I understand it's a school, however I went in thinking it'll take 1.5 hours instead of 45 minutes for a regular full set. It took 3 hours. I had multiple students and instructors keep telling my nail tech to fix something - I think I had 6 people work on my nails in the end. I don't think what I wanted was complicated. It did only cost me 25 (with tip) however, I was ultimately there for over 3 hours - this would only cost 35$ at a regular salon. I saved 10$ but lost 2+ hours. My nails look fine though. read more

After 3 weeks I called, left messages, and even emailed and have gotten no response. Even a simple,"No sorry," would be something. Went in today to have my eyebrows done. Kayte B did a fantastic job. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and her skills far exceeded my expectations. I am excited to see the end result in about a week. This is what I experienced today: there was no pain (I actually started to doze off during the process), my eyebrows are symmetrical, and she didn't do the boxy shape but truly heard me when I said I wanted natural. I received feedback after expressing what I did want and what I didn't want. I thought I wanted microblading and after a thorough consultation we determined that I needed something called powdering. I felt that she truly heard what I wanted and gave me the best feedback on how to get there. I am looking forward to trying out their other services in the near future. If you're looking to attend Tanya's Beauty School, I STRONGLY recommend going somewhere else. She pays for followers on social media and I can almost guarantee many of these "5 star" reviews are paid for as well. This school is tempting because it's presented as a "shorter program" that is cheaper than some others in the area but ultimately the education is inadequate, unprofessional and you'll end up spending almost twice as much by the time you actually get started in the industry. I was able to look passed the language barrier but my class pretty much taught ourselves and learned more from one another than we did from the instructors. Everything that was used on clients was paid for out of our own pockets, many days we were left waiting outside for them to show up and open the school for the day (causing us to be late for clients and affecting our hours), none of my classmates have received our certificates of completion MONTHSSSS after finishing. Honestly the list goes on and on and I'd like to try to save as many people as possible from having similar experiences. Everyone's nice and they try the best they can. People have to remember this is a school. Besides that, I've gotten my eyelashes, nails, and pedicure done here before. My mom has gotten her eyebrows tattoo'ed and they look great. Tanya (the instructor) has even stayed late (way after closing) to correct any imperfections (on my eyelashes and nails). Tanyas has pros and cons, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. The first thing I would remind people is that you are coming to a student academy. Sometimes that means your lashes can take a really long time, sometimes you get a girl who is towards the end of her training and is really speedy. Either way, budget your time accordingly! Allow for extra time and try not to stress your student out. I get my lashes done here, I've never tried anything else, but I've NEVER had an issues with them. Always professional, I've never had any issues with them falling out. Do research! You should go 2-3 weeks between fills. They won't look good past then, at least with my lash cycle. Many people sleep on one side. This causes your lashes to fall out on that side. Try sleeping on your back or wearing an eye mask! And do not get them wet during the first 24 hrs! I usually extend to 36 just to make sure. Lashes are a lot of work but you truly feel like a Disney princess when you first wake up. Don't be afraid to give tanyas a try! If you keep up with our end of the matinance your lashes are going to be bomb! read more

THis is a great place to come and get your nails done. The students are trained extremely well . The trainer Tanya reviews each students work before letting the customer leave. Sure it can be a little timely but that's because the students are taking their time in making sure that they are providing their best work. I was blown away that the overall appearance of the school. It was so clean, welcoming, and professional. Not only does this school specialize in nails but facials, hair, and eyelashes extensions. I had the opportunity to speak to some of the women whom have received many of the school services and each review I was provided had high recommendations. Before I headed out I also able to review the a customers finish eyelash look. The technician stated that they provide different eyelash extensions options that compliment the individuals look. I got a Brazilian blowout done by student Liz and instructor Brian. The results are amazing. I've had my hair done by Brian before and he's just AMAZING! Not only is he such a sweet, caring, and funny guy but he's a PROFESSIONAL. He knows his stuff and his work shows it. He made sure Liz was doing each step properly, and she was readily learning from him every step of the way. I was happy to be patient since I knew he was guiding her though the process. I recently came in to do microblading and was fortunate enough to get Nou Vang as my technician. Initially, I was nervous about getting my eyebrows tattooed, but Nou was so professional and polite that it immediately put me at ease. She was very patient with me and would constantly check in on my pain level. Every time I mentioned that it hurt, she applied numbing gel and made me feel comfortable. After my first visit and followup, my eyebrows turned out great! I don't plan on drawing my eyebrows on ever again!
