We love it here! It's in a shopping center with a big parking lot, so there's ample of parking. Even has a Tesla Super Charge in the parking lot, so I was able to charge while my dog had her visit. Hazel, my golden doodle, just got done with her annual visit with Dr. Keri Smyrni and she's the best veterinarian ever! She's so personable and knowledgeable. She does a nice thorough exam on Hazel each year. I enjoy talking to her a lot. I can just tell she's a good person! I remember last year when hazel had a dew claw problem, Dr. Keri was very attentive and answered all my worrisome questions. The receptionists are always so pleasant. The two vet techs or nurses? that gave Hazel all her annual shots were so loving today. Giving Hazel extra pets and love. I think their names were Jenny and Nicole? Every time we come here, each staff has been very professional and kind.

I am incredibly thankful to Dr. Haburjak and his wonderful team for the exceptional care,…read morecompassion, and dedication they showed to my dog, Gui Gui. Gui Gui had been limping since last Wednesday, and Dr. Haburjak's team was able to quickly find an appointment for us that Monday. During the visit, Dr. Haburjak performed a very thorough physical examination and determined that he did not believe Gui Gui's knee was the source of the problem. He carefully identified the hock as a possible source and immediately referred us to a specialist. What touched me most was how much Dr. Haburjak personally did to make sure Gui Gui received the care he needed as quickly as possible. He immediately called and texted the specialist to help get Gui Gui seen as soon as possible. He also sent us a detailed and thoughtful email explaining his concerns and introduced us directly to the specialist. He went above and beyond to make sure there was a smooth transition of care. It turned out that Gui Gui had a serious infection in his hock--septic arthritis. I truly believe Dr. Haburjak's careful examination, clinical judgment, quick action, and genuine concern for Gui Gui made all the difference. His prompt identification of the problem and immediate referral helped Gui Gui receive the urgent treatment he needed. In my heart, I truly believe he saved Gui Gui's life. I feel incredibly lucky to have such an amazing surgeon and such a wonderful team in the area where I live. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing that Gui Gui is in the hands of people who genuinely care about their patients. I cannot thank Dr. Haburjak and his entire team enough for everything they did for Gui Gui. I truly appreciate their kindness, professionalism, compassion, and dedication. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I would like to preface by saying that I don't like leaving poor reviews for companies…read more First, I'd like to start by saying the welcoming staff IN PERSON here was great. Very friendly and thoughtful. My complaints are not directly to anyone, but mostly being misled by what this hospital can do and when it can be done. I scheduled a consultation with internal medicine for August 4th. At the time of scheduling, I let them know that I was referred to them for a rhinoscopy and CT for my dog. They told me over the phone they sometimes can do the procedure the same day but it's uncommon. I understood that but still scheduled, hopeful that they could still do a rhinoscopy in the near future as it was something my primary vet urged me to do soon. They had me pay the consultation fee on same day to confirm my appointment, which I didn't question at the time. Keep in mind, they knew I needed a rhinoscopy with internal medicine specifically at the time I made this call. At the time of our appointment, we met with Dr. Louis who was very knowledgeable and kind. When I asked him about scheduling the rhinoscopy, he said they do not have the equipment needed for that procedure at this hospital (IronHorse) and he is only in the hospital that has the equipment (OakVet) ONCE A MONTH. Adding to that, he was out of town in August so we were looking at September. When I asked the nurse about September, she said there was a line so it's possible we couldn't get in. At this time, I was feeling very frustrated because I felt so misled that they knew the procedure couldn't be done anytime soon but still took my money for the consultation fee and led me to believe this hospital could perform the procedure. If I knew OakVet was the one that had the equipment, I would've just scheduled there. But this information was never offered to me over the phone at the time of scheduling the initial consult. I was told the estimate for the future procedure would be sent to me by the end of the week (this was Tuesday 8/4) and didn't receive anything by Friday. I called on Friday and they said end of day, and I did not receive anything end of day. I called again on Monday and they said they are backed up, I should have it soon. It's now 8/16 and I have not received a call or email with my estimate. Overall, the communication and professionalism of some staff at this hospital is not something I'd subject myself to again. I think once they finish the merge with OakVet, it could function better but if you're looking to get a rhinoscopy and CT, I would look elsewhere. We were able to go to Sage Dublin that same week and have the procedure done. All other vets in the area that I called were very transparent about how booked they were and if they have the equipment to perform the procedure I asked about.

She's one of the very few…read morepeople they actually let handle them, and it's clear she treats them with such gentle, thoughtful care. She also takes the time to explain everything in a way that's easy for us to understand, which we really appreciate. One thing to keep in mind is that the clinic does get quite busy at times, so occasional follow-ups or callbacks have at times taken a bit longer than expected. We also really wish they had weekend hours or a bit more flexibility in their scheduling, especially since one of our cats has a chronic condition. It would make things easier to manage if we could stick with this team for all their care rather than bouncing between multiple clinics and trying to keep track of records. But the fact that our only frustrations come from wanting more access to their care really says a lot about how much we value and prefer this clinic! That said, we genuinely trust Dr. Luu and highly recommend her... she's been such a calming and expert presence for both our cats.

I took him to SAGE without an appointment, and they saw us within about 25 minutes. Every team member we interacted with, including the veterinarian, was incredible--kind, thorough, and very transparent. They walked me through all of the recommended testing and the costs before doing anything. They even performed one test at no charge. At one point, they came back and said there was one additional blood test they could run, but they were on the fence about whether it was really necessary, so they explained the cost and let me decide. I really appreciated that. They felt 99% confident Loki had a stomach ulcer and specifically did NOT recommend jumping immediately to an expensive ultrasound. Instead, they suggested treating him at home first and doing the ultrasound only if he didn't improve. We went home with medications, and they even gave me prescription limited-ingredient food to take home at no charge. To top it off, they called the next day to check on Loki and see how he was doing. I was incredibly impressed with the care Loki received and, just as importantly, with how thoughtful and transparent they were about costs and testing. I would absolutely go back to SAGE--although I really hope I don't have any more cat emergencies anytime soon!

After years of searching for the right veterinarian for my two senior cats, I'm so happy to say that I've finally found one. My cats have always been healthy, so until now they only needed routine vaccinations. As they're getting close to 10 years old, I wanted to schedule comprehensive wellness exams, including blood work and dental cleanings. I spent a long time researching different clinics, hoping to find a place I could truly trust. Now I finally feel like I can stop searching. From our very first consultation, Dr. Lim impressed me with his patience and honesty. He walked me through every step of the exam and never recommended unnecessary tests. Instead, he clearly explained the purpose and benefits of each option, giving me plenty of time to make informed decisions without feeling rushed or pressured. After reviewing the X-rays and ultrasound, he carefully went over the findings with me and even pulled up additional reference materials online to make sure I fully understood why further evaluation might be helpful. He also offered several treatment plans with different cost considerations, including options that helped minimize expenses without compromising the quality of care my cats received. Compared with other veterinary clinics I've visited in the area, I found their fees to be very fair. Dr. Park, who performed the dental cleanings, was just as thoughtful. Before the procedure, she took the time to address every concern I had, which made it much easier to leave my cats in her care. After taking dental X-rays under anesthesia, she called me before any extractions were performed, explained the findings, and asked for my approval before proceeding. Once everything was completed, she reviewed the X-rays with me and patiently went through each treatment that had been performed, making sure I understood exactly what was done. What stood out most was how genuinely Dr. Lim and Dr. Park, a husband-and-wife team, cared for my cats. Throughout the entire process, I felt they treated them as if they were their own. Their expertise, kindness, and willingness to answer every question gave me complete confidence that my cats were receiving exceptional care. Scheduling appointments was simple and convenient, and every member of the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive. Finding a veterinarian you can truly trust isn't easy. I'm incredibly grateful that my search led me here, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this clinic to any pet owner looking for compassionate and knowledgeable care.

I've been going to Paws of Pleasanton for about two years, and unfortunately, I'm done…read more Yes, the office is fancy and the staff is friendly, but the constant upselling and extremely high prices have become too much. One recent example: they recommended a dental cleaning for my dog with an estimate that went upwards of **$2,200**. I called other local vets and was quoted roughly **$600-$800 for a comparable procedure**. What also frustrates me is that the burden seems to be on the customer to question every line item and ask what can be removed. Even after doing that, their base pricing can still be more than double what other local vets charge. And this isn't an isolated example. I've had this same feeling with recommendations and estimates repeatedly over the past two years. I want to be able to take my dog to the vet and feel like the focus is on what he genuinely needs, without having to scrutinize every recommendation because I'm worried about unnecessary add-ons or inflated pricing. Unfortunately, I've lost that trust here and will be taking my dog elsewhere.

Instead it was Dr. Harinder Judge was the vet for that day. I hope he never takes this practice over because I will go elsewhere! The vet tech asked me the typical questions, she typed it all in then here comes the vet. He barely examined my cat, did NOT read the notes that were taken by the vet tech. We discussed possible chest xray, he suggested labs then giving antibiotics. When the vet tech came in with the "estimate" it was $1600. There was stuff on the estimate we never discussed! Long story short, he refused to do just one xray of her chest...he said "it's all or nothing." Then proceeded to say, "I'm not playing this game of let's shoot one xray just to go back & shot another." You only need one chest xray to see if pneumonia is present, not 3! I never asked for 3 lab panels, nor did we discuss it. Dr. Judge was extremely rude & disrespectful and is clearly ONLY money driven! I will ONLY take my cats there when Dr. Downes is there!
