The only reason I removed a star is because upon first seating us, they gave us a very inconvenient skinny table for two that was scrunched between three tables and one of the seats would have high foot traffic and been bumped by passers by. We did not want to sit there, and said we would wait for a more appropriate table. Then everything was fine after that; still a table for two but weren't boxed between other tables and inconveniencing others. If it we could do half stars, I'd give them 4.5, but alas it's Yelp. I come here because I love Argentinian parrillada, been here many times, love the place. My only, and main concern and vexation is that I asked the kind waiter (name anonymous) if he can get us some kidney (riñones) he agreed to trying in helping us and the cook apparentally refused to satisfy our order. We come here to Tango because the food is delicious but they will lose business. Been coming here for the past 14 years. We went on a Saturday night, very busy, waited about 40 minutes for a table for 5. This was expected- finally when we sat down, we were greeted almost immediately for some drinks and appetizers. The empanadas have changed since last I went- for the better. All the food was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. It was so filling and we even took food home. Great little restaurant that serves up good sangria, steak and paella. The paella rice was perfectly cooked and the dish was spot on with flavor. The seafood was not a scanty portion. The steak was perfectly grilled to my liking and the chimichurri sauce was decent, but there's no need for any sauce when it's a nicely grilled piece of steak. 6 of us arrived with 2 kids on Sunday around 4 and it was PACKED. We waited a good hour for our table. We split a bunch of items: bacon wrapped dates skirt steak filet mignon paella Sides: mash, fries, creamed spinach dessert: tiramisu, tortufo The bacon wrapped dates were unbelievable. A little sweet, a little savory. Some of the meats were overdone, but the ones that weren't were really flavorful. The paella was a little too salty, but filled with seafood. The tiramisu was a little different, but really delicious. I also had a pina colada with was very strong. Very large portions so I would split things. Otherwise, expect a hefty doggy bag. All of this food cost with tax and tip, was around $240 which is a great deal. I'll come back (with reservations!) next time. read more

I had an amazing meal here at Tango over the weekend. While it was below zero degree wind chills outside we were getting our tummys filled with steak, steak and more steak thanks to the $42 Tango Special. Even with pictures on Yelp I still was blown away by how much meat they serve in the plate that after the meal we still didn't see the bottom of the plate. Even now 3 days afterwards I'm still having leftovers that's just how much meat they serve in one single entree... They didn't have fancy sauces like you see at other steakhouses but really just grilled the meat to perfection, the chili sauce they provided doesn't overwhelmed the taste and I liked how they have jalapeno peppers as well for those that likes it bit spicy. With the special it also comes with two sides and my favorite side was the creamed spinach, definitely very creamy and goes with the steak very well as it could be a little dry just eating meat after meat haha. The salad was generous with olives and olive oil so that the fragrance was really flavorful and the fries were the thicker cut steak fries that were done really well. For dessert we tried the Flan as unfortunately they ran out of chocolate ice cream cake. Flan was quite sweet indeed and with caramel on top its just about the sweetest dessert I've ever tasted so definitely for people with a sweet tooth. Service was excellent despite us sitting all the way in the back in a corner she still come to check up on us regularly to make sure everything is okay. The seating was a little cramped though but luckily the big table next to us finished pretty soon after we sat down so didn't have any problems. Even better is that they have groupon deals going on right now. Normally the groupon restaurants I've been to were average at best but this place really outdone my expectations. Definitely one of the most memorable meal that I've had in a long time. When we were here parking lot was full though but still plenty of street parking by the road.. Living about 10 minutes away from this stablishment and noticing how busy it gets specially over the weekend, intrigued me to come here to see what is it all about. Came here on a Friday for my wife's bday celebration along with our kids. The place smelled weird as if there were live cows inside. Came early evening since, we once drove off because we came at night and there was no room for another soul. Place gets crazily packed. Food was good, but it was lacking seasoning. I ordered for myself the all meat platter and my short ribs were nothing but fatty. Meat was a bit chewy and my fries were mostly burnt. Complained to the waitress about the ribs being nothing but fat and, she did not even acknowledge nor she mentioned anything to that regard. Our kids were done eating and we were still trying to enjoy our food when, this guy showed up to clean up our table and asking us if the left overs are going to be packed. Dude we are not even done here.. My wife got the stuffed filet o sole and it was good. In my opinion food was decent and nothing to die for. The best steakhouse on Long Island and possibly the world, hence the super long review. This place deserves every word I type out. Stared with a pitcher of sangria- because one is never enough here. Garnished with a lot of fruit, oranges and apples etc, but not overly sweetened. Then we started with an order of the meat and chicken empanadas with extra chimichurri on the side. Let's talk about the chimichurri. I would be doing this place an injustice if I failed it to mention how outstanding it is. It's full of herbs, and lots of garlic mixed in oil. Chimichurri is served with a spoon here so it's easy to drizzle some on the empanadas- I also put it on my steak! None of this EVER goes to waste. For the main course I usually order the "Parillada solo carnae para dos", or in English, "Just a meat grill platter for two". Or you can order it how I call it- the 'meat mountain'. The server will know exactly what you are referring to! It's a fitting name for it because that's literally what it is. Various types of steaks are served to you with this, including a piece of skirt steak which is also heavenly on its own if you decide to just go with that. This platter also comes with two sides. The portion of the sides are also for two people. This time I tried the creamed spinach and roasted potatoes. The creamed spinach was honestly even better than the roasted potatoes. I am half Irish so potatoes are always a go-to for me, so that's saying something about the spinach. It was not heavily creamed, and had some diced onion and veggies mixed throughout it. Super flavorful and delicious. Overall this dish will run you $52 dollars which is very reasonable with all the food you receive- you will always leave with leftovers. A little tip: Always order your steak rare. Even if you want it cooked medium rare, some of the steaks served in this player will vary between rare and medium rare. No complaints here though. Always super tender, juicy and delicious. I've also celebrated birthdays here in the past, including a yearly one with my best friend. The back room is great for larger parties 20 people and over. Very nice atmosphere and fantastic service. Wether you dine here with just a couple people or up to 30, this place is very accommodating. Don't know why we came here. It's overrated. The steaks are full of fat. Medium rare was more like medium well. We made reservations - they didn't have them. Sat us with a group celebrating a birthday. Very obnoxious. Then I use a credit card to pay for the dinner. A card I rarely use. And now 4 days later, Chase is alerting me of fraudulent activity on my account. I have a feeling my card information was skimmed at this restaurant. When will the US adopt the European model of having the server come to your table and run your card with it never leaving your sight? If you like poorly cooked fatty steaks come here. From the service to the flavor this place is 5 stars all the way! Everything we ordered was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Our waiter was so professional and everything was top notch. Cute spot in Brentwood. Nice white tablecloth. Seems a little upscale but very family friendly. You get gigantic enormous portions here. My girlfriend who was visiting from Montana wanted to try an authentic steakhouse and we could have shared one plate with 4 people. It was so much meat I was eating leftovers for days. The good - very nice service and a fairly wide selection even though its a steakhouse. I had an empanada that was super tasty. My son ordered the meat platter for one -- its seriously enough for 3. My mom had the filet of sole and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were well within reason for the amount of food. I used the chimichurri on everything I ate and enjoyed it. The not so great - the bone in ribeye that I ordered was a bit my gristly than I was happy with -- the flavor was good, just a bit too much waste. Some of the items on my son's meat platter were a bit tough -- though I will say that the short ribs, skirt steak and sirlion were excellent. The chimichurri is tasty, but I am used to a more pasty and less oily style - it was tasty, but a little less oil would concentrate the flavor more I think. All in all a lot more good than bad - I will try them again... The food here is not bad but they seem to have a big problem with giving customers plenty of bread with large orders that cost you over $36.00, i always order from there once a week and i choose the Parillada for one and every single time they only give a tiny piece of bread, are they serious?? if money is the issue they should just add the charge to the order and just give us the darn thing,and even if you ask them nice and kindly to please add more bread they never do,in my opinion they are just dirt cheap. I literally will pay 100$ for steak so a $28 plate didn't bother me at all. They give you a great amount of food so you don't have to stock up on sides especially if you go with someone just have everyone get different sides and share them. I would give the steak a 7.8 and that's bc I said med rare and it came Med well. I didn't care for the rice, it barely had any flavor to it. The food was ok. The reason why I only gave 2 stars was because my family went last weekend and the room was super cold. This was the day it snowed December 1st. We had 3 babies in our party and we were seated by a drafty door. There was one other party in the room, so we asked our waitress to move us away from the door before we even ordered. Our waitress told us that they were fully booked with reservations starting in 1/2 an hour. Sure enough we ate, finished our meals and stayed for over 2 hours. NO OTHER PARTIES ARRIVED. Very disappointed in customer service. I mean, this is why people eat out to restaurants in the first place... so that we are served and waited on. This place was incredible! The value of everything you're getting is unmatched. Went for my best friends birthday and our waiter Jamal (hope I'm spelling that correctly) was phenomenal. We got a piña colada that was so tasty. As an appetizer we shared the beef and chicken empanadas (chicken being my personal fav.) For entrees we shared the meat platter for one and the chicken with mushroom sauce. When i say meat platter for one, this thing could easily feed 3 people alone! It was amazing. Their chimichurri sauce is a must. I poured that thing over EVERYTHING. The chicken with mushroom sauce was very delicious as well. Each entree came with a side so we chose their spanish rice which was TO DIE FOR and their baked potatoes which were like baked steak fries.
