I went into the store intending to shop for accessories and heels, but unfortunately left without purchasing anything because of the way I felt I was treated by several employees. When I entered the store, the employee who appeared to be responsible for greeting customers did not acknowledge me or offer any assistance. Instead, I immediately noticed that she was watching me closely. As I continued browsing, I felt that I was being followed and monitored throughout the store. At one point, two other employees came near me while I was shopping and appeared to be talking and whispering to each other. I also noticed that other customers were shopping without receiving the same level of attention that I was receiving. This made me increasingly uncomfortable and gave me the impression that I was being singled out. When I went to look at a pair of heels, an employee approached from behind me. After I touched the shoes I was interested in, her demeanor made me feel unwelcome. I ultimately put the shoes back because I no longer felt comfortable making a purchase. As I left the store, I felt that the employees were continuing to watch me. I am American Latina, and while I cannot know what the employees intended, the difference in how I felt I was treated compared with other customers made me feel that I was being treated differently because of my Hispanic/Latina background. I have never experienced this type of treatment at the Riverhead Outlets before, which is why this experience was especially upsetting.

In the Lake Ronkonkoma area; the places that I'd find New Balances in the past such as Kohl's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and the New Balance store by Smith Haven Mall were m.i.a on a good selection of them that were reasonably priced. So on my second full day on Long Island, my dad and I headed out on the Long Island Expressway to its easternmost end at Tanger Outlets to check out the New Balance Store in the eastern quadrant of the outdoor mall. When I visited on May 16, 2024 at 12:30 pm, there were plenty of parking spaces leading to a short walk in my worn out New Balances to the business. When I walked in I passed the tables and racks of New Balance apparel on the way to the back where I explored the aisles of New Balance sneakers. I found the aisles to be nicely organized and clean. The left half of the aisles merchandised women sneakers where the right were men's. The aisles were further broken down by sneaker type and style. For example, I saw an aisle for training, another for walking, and so on. With this commendable selection were an impressive variety of sizes. Unlike some stores specializing in footwear, there were several sizes of each sneaker on the salesfloor. The sales associates were helpful and patient. On account of how difficult it was for me to find a size that was comfortable to wear with my Superfeet insoles, it was necessary to go through boxes of sneakers to find the right one. In hindsight I should of taken a photo to show all of the boxes. The Associates gave zero issue as I tried on several pairs. One of the Associates went as far as to measure my feet, although the measurement was incorrect. Thanks to the abundance of different sizes, I finally found a size 9E that fit comfortably. Complimenting the impressive selection of sneakers were the prices. In my mind, this store is the best deal for New Balance sneakers. After all this is a factory outlet store. On top of the low prices they offered some additional great deals that included 25% off some of the sneakers. Based on my leading check-in here on May 16, 2024 at 12:30 pm, I can myself returning here when I visit my dad on Long Island. My Dad had even said that he plans to go to the Tanger Outlets more often than Kohl's.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Ooming! Hang on a second. Hello? - Barry? - Adam? - Oan you believe this is happening? - I can't. I'll pick you up. Looking sharp. Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those. Sorry. I'm excited. Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son. A perfect report card, all B's. Very proud. Ma! I got a thing going here. - You got lint on your fuzz. - Ow! That's me! - Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000. - Bye! Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house! - Hey, Adam. - Hey, Barry. - Is that fuzz gel? - A little. Special day, graduation. Never thought I'd make it. Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward. Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive. You did come back different. - Hi, Barry. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good. - Hear about Frankie? - Yeah. - You going to the funeral? - No, I'm not going. Everybody knows, sting someone, you die. Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way. I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. - Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are! - Bee-men. - Amen! Hallelujah! I visit here from East Hampton about 2 x a year. The most pleasant surprise was going to the Cole Haan shop. It was like being in a Madison Avenue boutique and the prices were great. They have their top quality merchandise here and the sales help is also top notch, great experience, not like outlet shopping at all. Slacks, socks and knit shirts at Ralph Lauren are fantastic, but wait to buy your dress shirts at Brooks Brothers. The fabric at Brooks for men's dress shirts is THE BEST!!!! Regarding shop help - 1st rate at all the stores I visited, incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and excellent appearance - some shops seem like they got their help from Central Casting, most attractive and beyond happy to be of help. My one caveat is that there are so many shops with such great merchandise, I always leave Tanger exhausted, usually going to twice as many shops as I expected to, but always rewarded for going the extra steps to check out another shop. Just remember to ask yourself, "Do I really need this, or should this go into the stock market or my kid's (or my) college fund?" Keep your perspective. Great place to get quality items that you NEED! If you have the opportunity get connected to the shops you like before you go there. The best discounts are usually mailed or emailed to those who are on mailing lists. (I have gotten postcards from Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brothers with amazing added discounts.)- these can save you up to an extra 20 to 40% if you time it right. read more

I am not a big fan of malls but this is a great alternative if you don't enjoy shopping like me. On a nice day you could walk outside without having to enter a store and breath in fresh air, not that plasticky, stale indoor mall air and don't get me started on the toxic fumes emanating from Yankee Candle. The mall has 2 parts and you have to drive to each one, not pedestrian friendly to walk to each mall, not sure why they designed it that way so plan ahead if you are looking for specific stores. I usually get there early and have breakfast at Tanger 2, coffee at Starbucks and breakfast sandwich at McD's or breakfast sandwich from Starbucks. Plenty of seating in the food court and it's immaculate. There is also outdoor seating which is great when the weather is accommodating. I do miss the Pepperidge Farm outlet and Lindt. Both closed along with several other stores recently but my wife loves the Ann Taylor store. One new store is the discount book store which had some interesting books at reasonable prices. Parking lot is huge and if you get there early you could pick and choose where you want to park. Easy access just off the LIE but watch out for Old Country Rd traffic if you decide to head out East. Riverhead planners had there heads up their you know what or hands in developers pockets when they built up Old Country Rd with fast food joints and box stores. Use Route 25 to avoid the traffic but don't tell too many people. read more

I went here last week with my aunt, her daughter and my sister. We had a girls shopping day. We had a blast with my map printed out and knowing which stores we've wanted to hit. The bad part is we didn't have the coupon book so we were watching our limit on how much to buy and not go over. The $5 coupon book you can buy from the vending machine is amazing, you can totally save a bundle if you planned to shop big. I really enjoy the Saks Fifth Ave store because they have so much to choose from and the prices again can be better if I had the coupon book considering I brought a lot here. Moving along to Barney's New York, their price point I felt was amazing. They had clutches and large purses for cheap! This is CO OP but it is still really great deals. I like the fact that you can seem to find a parking spot and not wait forever for it. I went home a happy camper. I would give them 5 stars if only they had a healthier Food Court selection. read more

I always find something at Tanger. That's how I judge a good outlet - if I don't leave emptyhanded. It's not the shortest drive for me so if I'm going to trek over there, I want to at least be able to find something that is a good deal to make the trip worth it. I always find something at the Pottery Barn outlet, or Anne Taylor Loft or the Nike store and numerous other stores. There's a great selection of stores to visit and the food court is decent too. The only thing I don't like is how there are two sections and kind of spread out. You really have to get in your car and drive to the other side. Otherwise, love this place. read more

My wife and I decided to drive out to Tanger Outlet in Riverhead, we have not been there for almost 2 years. Looking to get good deals on clothing since it's the 'Outlets'. Most stores have signs 'SALE' from 40% to 75%, but that's off the Suggested Retail Price. Even after the 'SALE' price, the pair of designer brand jeans would still cost the same as at Macy's. And purchasing the same item from Amazon or Ebay, having it shipped to my home at no cost is even better. I save even more. The outlets have changed, unless they offer merchandise at Amazon level I don't see any benefit shopping there. read more
