Parking takes patience and the food options are extremely limited but aside from that, this outlet is a great place to retreat from the city and snag some good deals along with all this stuff you never knew you needed. They have some well known brands but not all, so I highly suggest browsing their directory before heading there... else you may be disappointed. It's not one of those outlets that go on and on forever so do expect at one point to go "that's it?!" Great for home items (like cookware) and back to school shopping (Sketchers, Gap) etc. Bathrooms are virtually on every block and are kept clean, love that! read more

This was my first visit to this outlet since moving to North Carolina. It had to some good stores to choose from. Seemed a bit smaller than other outlets I've been too. For some reason I felt that other outlets have better deals than this one. Nothing really stuck out about this outlet for me. I do prefer and like the premium outlets better than the tanger outlets. If you ask me would I come back... I'd say yes since it isn't that far from me. I'll give it another shot. I didn't quite understand what the commotion was about when it first opened, I don't still quite get it. I guess it's the convenience? It's in Mebane, right off the exit from I40/I-85. I was with some friends that came over from Singapore. They originally planned on going to Concord Mills in Charlotte, but here's closer, and have one of the top choices they want: the Coach store. Overall, it's like any other outlet really. But I did find a really nice jacket from the Guess store, and it's on sale, so it can't be all that bad. read more

I would join people saying the prices aren't worth the gas to go there. Rebates are not that good and you can find the same in any shopping malls. The worst (and I don't understand their logic about that): there is almost no place to eat or stay when you don't want to do shopping or make a break. Just vending machine that most of the time don't work. You don't need to be a genius to understand that usually, girls like shopping and boys don't. So following this logic, a starbucks and some places to eat make sense so men can eat or do something while girls are doing shopping. Being there is just a pain when you bring people there and you have nothing to buy for yourself... In resume, it's just like a regular shopping mall without the places to eat. Meh ! read more

I've been to Premium outlets in Albertville, MN. Tangers does not have enough parking spots to cater to all the customers who come in. We were there around 2.30 - 3.00 and had to roam around the parking for about 25 minutes. People had parked parallel to the kerb in the driving lanes.and there were so many cars looking for a spot. Decent deals in many stores. We did not buy a lot, but we liked the outlets. The children's play area was good, but many of the kiddie rides did not work read more

Don't take a guy/boyfirend/husband along with you. From a tag-along guys perspective, this place was pretty week. There is only so much you can look at in the tools store. I went into a bunch of the store and the prices where average if not more expensive for guys stuff. Example Levi's store. Pants were $75 for 501 jeans. Also they had nothing special that department store weren't offering at a cheaper price. I went looking for some fun/funky color, but there was nothing special. The plaza is nice and kept clean, I wouldn't want to be there in the shopping rush seasons though. Food choices are bad. The Hamburger place looks expensive for not good burgers. Although the milkshake was a saving grace. There is a playground on the one corner which can be entertaining. What this place needs is a SportsBar or Brewery, where guys will gladly hang out and wait while the girls go shopping. That would make everyone much happier. But again my last thought of the place is that shopping wasn't that great or cheaply priced. read more

Outlet malls make no sense to me...Why go all the way out to the middle of nowhere to buy cheaper quality clothes at almost the same price as normal retail? I think outlet shopping used to make more sense but with the massive mall sales and online shopping they really hold very little appeal nowadays. Despite this I always try to to stop by Tanger on my way to Greensboro since it's on the way and provides a decent point to get out of the car and take a break. Unfortunately I never seem to find anything worth a singular trip to this place. Yes there are deals to be found but most of them aren't impressive enough to warrant such a drive. You'd have better luck waiting for one of those semi-annual sells at the mall and grabbing your favorites looks there. Maybe people have better luck with non-apparel items such as electronics and cosmetics...Everything else...Meh. Aesthetically Tanger is actually pretty nice, it's clean and even when it's crowded in the summer I never feel suffocated by the amount of people. The management is usually pretty cheery as well (Tip: AAA members get a free coupon book if you are looking to spend some significant money here...Most of the coupons are 10% off of $150 and stuff like that). It's important to note that there are only a handful of resturants here too (and they're all tiny) so chances are unless you want a pretzel or ice cream you'll need to leave the outlet to have a good meal. My advice is come here if you're passing by, but don't take a trip all the way to Mebane for it. read more

My wife and I past this place on our way to Charlotte and saw they had a Sketchers outlet. Our kids love Sketchers so of course we wanted to check it out. We went online to see the list of stores and damn, this place has a lot! We only had time to Sketchers, Sunglass Hut and the Oakley Vault on our way back through but I will make it a point to go back to this place and check out some other stores. They also have a lady with a cart selling Italian Ice in multiple flavors such as Mango, Watermelon, Strawberry, Lemon & Blue Raspberry to name a few. Delicious! They ran $3 a cup but that will probably change soon enough. Believe me, it is totally worth the 3 a cup! She also recommends mixing flavors. It was a good recommendation. All in all this place is a good place. Some of the deals are good and some are not so you need to shop around. I got 6 pair of Sketchers for $200 so I can't complain about that. My wife got a pair of discontinued Oakley's for $70 and they are the best fitting sunglasses I have seen on her. I found a pair of Bolle's at Sunglass Hut that were awesome at a great price but after the shoes and one pair of glasses I decided to hold off. I already have a pair of Bolle's, some Oakley's and a pair of Wiley X's. My Bolle's are the only pair that are polarized though. It would have been nice to have another pair that were also polarized but really, stopping here was about getting the kids shoes and that objective was met! If you are passing by or live in the area then I recommend stopping into this place. I will warn you though, time can disappear.... you blink and 3 hours are gone. If you are not careful you will blink and so will $300. It's easy to spend money here. I am making it a point to plan a trip from Virginia Beach back to this place so yeah, I recommend it. read more

Every once in awhile I go shopping to spruce up my wardrobe especially for work. I could go to Crabtree or Triangle Town Center, but I want to shop without breaking the bank! The Tanger Outlets has all the stores I frequent - Banana Republic, Gap, J.Crew, Nine West, Loft, Nike, etc. Since I'm on the email list for BR and Gap, we get additional savings on top of the sales at the store. Also if you go to the Tanger website, they have coupons online for select stores. Every penny saved counts! My only issue with Tanger is that they don't have many food options. read more

These are really high end shopping experiences that set the bar high for local retailers. There is an enormous selection of retailers that you can consider this a one-stop experience. I would say this mall is one of the cleanest and best shopping adventures one can experience. There is no shortage of shoes to select from nor casual / semi-casual apparel. The area also has a variety of places to eat once you become too exhausted from shopping and need to recharge. read more

This is an outlet mall--no high end prices here! This one is not overwhelming like some of them can be. It is manageable. I would check to see if they have stores you are interested in before going. When we walked in we was not greeted nor was we asked if we needed any assistance. About 3 mins later a lady walks in and they damn near cater to the lady and her children. The Tanger Outlet Center is beautiful. It is the first Tanger Outlet that I've visited. The stores were those typical of most outlet experiences. I wasn't particularly impressed with the prices in any of the stores. There were lots of nice items to choose from but I feel I could have gotten a better deal on the sale rack at the local mall or at Marshall's. The biggest drawbacks here are the parking which seems to be a nightmare and the non-existent food court. The food court would be especially useful since this is an outdoor mall. It's cold at this time of year. There is no place warm to sit and wait for friends, grab a warm meal, or just rest your feet if you are tired of shopping. I hope that both of these issues will be addressed in the future. read more

This is one of my favorite spots. It is outside like most outlets but the modern way it is arranged doesn't make you feel like you are walking down a strip of stores. I love the playground for the kids (which is mostly covered), which is a way for them to feel like there is something just for them with all of that shopping going on! I also love the couple of restaurants on site as it gives you a quick break to refuel. My favorite stores are all the kiddie ones (Gymboree, Children's Place, Carter's, Osh Kosh), Coach, and Nike. Stop by the welcome center and grab a coupon book. Even if you don't have AARP, AAA, or a military card, you will earn your $5 back. It is complimentary to the above mentioned groups. The people at the welcome center always make me feel like a Superstar with their fast and friendly service. I have been to others, but this is by far my favorite. read more

A ten dollar price difference is understandable... a 30 dollar price difference shows you don't value your customers, and I never would have known about your price difference policy if I hadn't complained on yelp. It is what it is... I paid what you were asking. thats not your fault, but you lost a customer, who loves clothes and shopping, so in the short run you made money in the long run you're losing money. This place is easy to find. I passed it on my way South and took note of it, then stopped here on my way back North. I wanted to check out the stores for some athletic gear and winter shoes. Columbia had a great sale going on and the customer service lady was really nice; nothing really caught my eye. It was packed in Under Armour and Nike, but it was a few days before Xmas so everyone was trying to complete their shopping in time. Reebok was quite empty and it was the place that had exactly what I was looking for. I parked on the side of the outlets, where it tends to be less crowded. Restrooms were clean and taken care of, so I don't have any complaints about this place. The fact that I walked out with an item I was looking to buy made my experience better. read more

We were quite frankly just looking for a place that might have clean bathrooms as were driving home from Raleigh so we decided to stop in here. It's a nice little outlet shopping area. Actually ended up buying quite a few things at a clothing store while we were here today. After a long drive it was nice to just get out walk around and stretch our legs. The grounds are clean and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The only drawback is they don't have many places for dining. There was a Subways and a pizza place. I don't recall anything else other than the little snacky booths where you can get popcorn and cotton candy. read more

We were looking for some time to kill on a Sunday on the way home from Raleigh and figured we would stop at this Tanger since it was conveniently right off the exit. I've been to a number of Tanger Outlet Centers in my day, and this one was the same as the others, except a bit smaller. One thing I didn't expect was for all the stores to open at 11am on Sunday, so we had to sit around outside for about fifteen minutes until the doors started opening. You can find all types of clothing stores in this particular Tanger, with cheaper places like Levi to the moderate like Gap to the heavy hitters like Sakks. Most of the places have cheaper prices since they are outlets, though some were still ridiculously pricey...I'd hate to see the price tags in their normal stores! One store that was missing which I always enjoy hitting up at the outlets was Old Navy, so that was a tad disappointing. This is the place to go if you want the selection of a mall at slightly cheaper prices. read more

I enjoyed stopping at these outlets today. They have a variety of stores. The restrooms clean. And easy to access. The area was picked up it was open and nice and friendly. I personally enjoy going to J.Crew. Parking was easy to get to. And it was easy to get to off the highway also. I would recommend stopping here on your way through town to go shopping. read more

Very happy that the new Tanger Outlets has opened in Mebane. Waited awhile to try it until the crowds died down. Checked it out on Good Friday - only to realize that many other people had the same idea. Try and avoid busy days as parking is scare. Other than that, really enjoyed the outlets - very clean, good selection. My fav is the Banana Republic store which was relatively well kept up but given how busy it was, they did a good job attempting to keep some order. Look out for coupons in the mail or through their email list. A score of 20% coupons I found in a paper is what brought me to the Outlets and saved quite a bit of money in addition to the nice discounts already. read more

I've been visiting this outlet mall for over 3 years now. They have good collection of clothing stores for men, women & kids; kitchen stores like corningware & kitchen collection & the number of stores seem to increase by each year. One of my favorite stores here is the cosmetics company store which sells professional make up brands at reasonable prices. The collection of clothing varies & I've found them to be the best during long weekend. One of my major concerns with this mall is the restaurants. They don't have too many options and they don't have a coffee shop. Even the one that existed before served horrible coffee. Wish they did something about it. read more

We stopped here to break up our long drive back home so our 19 month old could have some time out of the car. They offered shopping cart rentals for $5 with cars on the front for kids to ride in and my son thought they were the best. And the two stores we went into had great sales - out of a lot of the items and sizes we wanted or that were featured as main items. Sales we decent though. This is a nice outlet mall and always very clean. They have a wide variety of stores offering everything from apparel to home goods and everything in between. My two complaints for this business are a lack of adequate parking and very few options for food. Parking is always a problem, no matter when I go and especially on weekends. There is an overflow lot with a shuttle that is within close walking distance but it is still inconvenient. Also, the outlets only have about 4 or 5 options for food. While this is sufficient, it would certainly be nice to have more, especially considering that many people make a day out of visiting the outlets. Overall a good shopping center. read more

Between all of the amazing stores in this outlet there is different genres to offer! There are many sales going on almost every week! If you are going back to school shopping I recommend going to the ranger outlets or even looking for clothes for work! Not only do they have clothes they have shoes, accessories, room decor, kitchen appliances and more! If you get tiered of walking there are many chairs to take a break! If you get hungry there are many different available places to eat inside of the outlets. read more

We came here first to get his gloves from Under Amour and the rest of his gear from Nike-and paid pennies to the dollar! This place just wasn't for me. The only thing I found here to buy was frozen yogurt. I brought a kid with me and there are no toy stores, so neither one of us found anything. I left and went to Southpoint. It does look like a good place to go if you want to buy clothes or sneakers. Maybe it should be called a clothing mall? read more
