Not exactly sure why this outlet mall that looks like it belongs in the middle of Florida is in the middle of Long Island, but overall, if you come here mid-week, even a week before Christmas, you will be shopping alone and without the MASSIVE amounts of people at all the other malls of Long Island. Designed to make your head spin, don't forget to remember where you parked, because one spin around in this place and you are LOST!!! For the kids, or the kids at heart, there is a cute ice skating rink around the Christmas tree in December. (it's closer then the city, with a whole less amount of peeps!!) Remember - it's an outlet mall, and not all the regular mall stores will be there - Just don't forget your directory and compass!!! read more

My first time coming here and my initial impression was this was a nice looking outlet, clean, and not as much people as other outlets. The whole mall kind of go around in a circle. It doesn't really have a big selection of stores but each store still got my size since probably not as many people go. I feel I was able to get more stuff here compared to the other outlets. The food choices at this mall are not so great and limited. They also got a regal theater here. Might come here earlier next time to shop and then probably catch a movie read more

Saks Off Fifth at Tanger has the largest shoe department for an outlet store. Maybe it's because its NY flagship store has the largest shoe department, so big that it has its own zip code. You won't find any discounted Louboutins here but you might find a pair of ghastly colored Torl Burches (which by the way is considered a cheaper shoe line at SFA in New York), When you can't justify spending $900 on your feet, $90 on 2nd tier designer shoes seems a more plausible solution! read more

Tanger Outlets Deer Park - Shoe department at Saks off Fifttb - Outlet Stores Near Me - Deer Park, New York

I used to live near Riverhead so I was used to the Tanger Outlets out there. Both Tanger Outlets are great but I think the Deer Park outlets just beats the Riverhead ones. Firstly, the movie theatre is a huge plus. I go here to see movies all the time, it's really convenient, and the surrounding stores are great if you need to kill time before or after your movie. The store selection is not as large at the Riverhead outlets but I find the layout of this one more convenient. The Riverhead outlet is split into two sections and you pretty much have to drive to go between them. Here, you can park your car and walk through the whole thing which is great to me. Don't get me wrong, each of the outlets have their perks! I just really love the Deer Park outlets! read more

I come here often because I love walking around the outlet itself and love a lot of the stores in this outlet. But I do have to say considering it's supposed to be an "outlet" I do consider them to be the same exact price as the non "outlet" stores. The outlet itself is beautiful, they have wonderful store options there but this place shouldn't be considered an outlet. read more

This place pretty cool. I'll go here to shop and take advantage of good deals or just walk around . There's always a new store coming up...new changes.... At all seasons it's a nice to come here. I want to try the ice skating rink the next time I go for winter....looks fun! read more

Went there on June 28th and found a pair (last pair probably floor sample) of Adidas parleys for $80. I asked the sales guy for the other pair so that I can see both. He saw the shoes and the price and checked them out for himself. He hesitated and had a chat with his female co- worker and never got me the shoe- never came back out from the back (no one else was in the store). When I asked the female co worker, she disappeared for about 30 seconds and returned to say they couldnt sell it to me because it was a mismatch size (other shoe was a different size). I asked to see them for myself and was told they could not show them to me because they cannot sell them. I knew they were lying. The sales guy took the shoes for himself and was too much of a coward to show his face. I would NEVER go here again. Just not the kind of people you can trust. What a total piece of... read more

Hate hate hate this place. Been stuck over three hours in traffic and can't leave the parking lot.

Great outlet mall. They have a wide range of stores and great parking. I love the way the outside looks. It's also a very clean shopping center. I drove all the way from Queens and was very satisfied. Definitely will be back again. read more

I just visited Tanger Deer Park again this past Friday. Still a wide selection of stores and good deals. You can't really plan on getting specific things at an outlet mall. You can go with a list, but don't expect to get everything on it. Still, I always do well. My one gripe now is that Suffolk County, where Tanger is located, has a new policy of not allowing stores to give plastic bags for merchandise, which went into effect January 1. So the stores either have no bag for you or they charge 5 cents for a paper bag, which is pretty flimsy on a wet rainy day, which is how the weather was the day I was there. Why not post this new policy on the website home page? And why not sell a Tanger carrier bag at the shopper services office where you get your coupon book? I always bring extra large shopping bags to consolidate my purchases, but a lot of people don't. Plus I don't get there by car - I take the LIRR and shuttle bus - so if I hadn't had bags, I probably would have voided some of my purchases since some stores had no bags. It's not smart to not publicize a new policy that is potentially very inconvenient for some of us. I have nothing against protecting the environment, but again, put it on the website so we know ahead of time. read more

These outlets stores are small and limited in stock and sizes. The customer service is also lacking. The sales associates aren't friendly or helpful. I would call ahead to make sure the store carries what you want before making the trip. Or better yet, just go to Riverhead or Woodbury. read more

Totally positive experience. I went the Saturday after Thanksgiving, supposed to be a crazy shopping day! there was plenty of parking, lot was half empty or more. The place is immaculately clean and I saw numerous maintenance workers scrubbing and sweeping while I was there. Every store I entered I was greeted nicely but not pestered with "may I help you?" type of questions. Lots of great prices.Buy one get one free Jackets, sneakers and shirts at the Reebok store. 1/2 price NIKE sneakers for $40-$50 are just a few examples! The Christmas store had great variety, the little book store had great prices $5,$7 books and puzzles for the children! I would definitely go back again and now Miller's Ake house is right in the same lot which is a great spot for some drinks and good prices for great food and appetizers! I REALLY AM A FAN!!! read more

Nice to have an outlet close to home. I can get here early, avoid the crowds which aren't as bad as the major outlets in the first place. They don't seem to have as many shops as Riverhead but that's another hr drive. read more

It's an outdoor mall with outlet shops... and there's nothing wrong with that. There are great deals to be had in many of the stores, which is really the only way to get this guy out to shop. Be warned that there are a few stores that provide seemingly no discount at all, so check for 'outlet' or 'factory' in the store name. Provided you don't go near the holidays, there is plenty of parking and it's relatively uncrowded. More times than not, it's a ghost town. As others have mentioned, they have a few gimmicks to give you an excuse to get to the mall (movie theater, ice skating, santa pics, farmers market, etc.), but I wouldn't go as far as calling it a 'community center'. Hungry? While the food inside the actual outlets isn't great, there are some solid options nearby (Miller's for brew, Verde for Italian). Head on over and pick up some threads on the cheap! read more

Alway can find a great deal! Most of these stores are true outlet stores and have great prices. You just have to be a smart shopper and know your prices. Tanger Outlets Deer Park - One of my favorite stores! - Outlet Stores Near Me - Deer Park, New York

Usually when I shop I prefer on-line or department stores. This way I can park in front of the store, run in, spend some time browsing the departments, pick up some items or the one thing I came for and leave. I am not a fan of malls, especially big malls (or mazes, as I like to call them). But going to Tanger Outlet in Deer Park is a real treat! I feel like I'm on vacation. It's clean, pretty and fun to walk around in the open air outside. There are directories and an information center which I suggest going to so you can find out extra sales and events happening that day. You can sign up (free) for a member card where they will send you more coupons and tell you about deals and happenings sent right in your email and mailbox. Plus you get great coupons for your birthday! Don't worry you won't get bombarded with too many emails. Get the App on your phone too! There are plenty of places to relax. You'll be outdoors breathing fresh air and can even sit by a fountain and grab a beverage or snack (Auntie Anne's is my go to place). When you enter the stores there is usually someone who greets you and tells you about their sales and maybe even hand you another coupon (Coach is one of those stores). I'm not a designer-type girl and never had any interest in ever going to any outlet store before. However, that changed when a friend and I went to see a movie that was inside Deer Park Outlets at the beautiful Regal Movie Theater. I've been going a few times a year on a regular basis now. I've never had a problem parking. There's a Regal Movie Theater, like I already mentioned, Nathan's, Red Mango Smoothie, Johnny Rockets, Joe's Crab Shack, Miller's Ale House, PizzaRev, Starbucks, China Max, Blimpie/Haagen-Dazs, Auntie Anne's. So many awesome stores to shop (check them out, too many to list). Plus they opened an outdoor market and outdoor summer concerts coming soon! Add this to your "Stay-Cation" for a day trip, movie in IMAX then dinner and you'll feel like you're away. Enjoy! read more

Closest Tanger Outlet from where I live. It's about 1-1/2 drive depending on the traffic. I personally really enjoy coming here on warmer days. Love to get some sun while shopping and enjoying the warm days outdoors! They have a huge selection of department stores for you to shop for so you will always leave with something. Majority of the stores are well organized and clean which is what I enjoy most. I hate shopping in the city because everything is a mess and is chaotic. You can find some really good deals at this outlet, especially on certain holiday weekends so it is definitely worth coming. read more

Too bad Tanger Outlet mall Deer Park is not really dog friendly. You can bring your dog but your dog is NOT ALLOWED TO WALK even on leash and behave. Tanger Outlets Deer Park - Outlets here we come - Outlet Stores Near Me - Deer Park, New York

Great mall I love shopping here. Nice selection of stores and places to eat. It doesn't feel stressed, it's a good experience.

I really like this outlet better than the other ones one the island...for one, it has a mall like feel to it compares to the one in Riverhead which feels like a strip mall. The deals during off-season and off-peak hours can be really great! We mostly go to Xmas tree shops, Eddie baeur, gap, and maybe one or two more places. If you go during peak times the overall advertised clearance prices "appear" great! But it's hard to find stuff that is significantly discounted that you like or has your size. Possibly cause someone took it. But if you go during off-peak and off seasons, I have noticed you can score some great bargains, there's a larger selection and even though the advertised clearance prices as a percent might not be as great, you can score some great bargains. We mostly shop there for our kid now and I was able to score some great deals on a Wednesday afternoon...you may ask why I wasn't at work? In my defense I worked overnight. One more thing to add, they have a theater :) and an ice skating ring during the winter! Super fun. read more

I like that this location is not far from my home and there's a decent selection of stores. I enjoy shopping here although I still don't have the layout down pat. It can get kinda confusing walking around! Most recently I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. After a few minutes I found a good parking spot and went shopping! Tons of people everywhere. I went into Nike and you would've thought they were giving items away for free, it was very busy but they had a bunch of cashiers so the line went quickly. Not all stores are outlet stores so shoppers be aware. There are public bathrooms located all around the shopping center which is a plus. Even though it's usually always very busy especially during the day on weekends, I still like going because you can walk outside, shop and still enjoy a nice weather day. read more

I was so thrilled to see 2012 and could not wait to check out this theater.. Well here goes the welcome right down the drain.. I needed to take some medicine and took a little amout of water in a bottle to take it with. The guy who took my ticket said you are not taking the water to the bathroom and started yelling at me as I went into the bathroom, I told him I would dump the bottle of water after taking my medicne. He called in security or a girl who works there to investigate me! Well by the time she got to the bathroom I already dumped the water that was left and took my medicine! I have low potassium and thought they would rather see someone get sick?? What is wrong this picture?? Am I wrong?? read more

I'm only writing here because I just got an email requesting my experience. If Tanger purposely took away the maps, which were in just about every corner location, to confuse its customers into aimlessly walking around in order to shop and spend more and forget about their intended destination then I say mission accomplished! So many people were walking around with the same look on their faces and standing around like lost tourists in Times Square. The app's map is a pain in the ass to find and is not much help considering the displayed numbers sometimes don't fit the location! Basically you have to use the theater as a landmark and then guess where you have to go. Bring back the friggin maps and improve your app's map! How about instead of numbers, you put logos? This way no one has to look for the numbers on a map and guess where a store is? Fix it!!! read more

I went to the Tanger Mall on Sunday, holy crap, the traffic is sick, but hopefully it will change soon, once people start to figure out there is more than one way to get in. It's nicely set up, just like a regular/indoor mall. The Tanger mall out in Riverhead is more like when you are walking through the parking lot or like seeing all the cars parked out there, but this one in DP, you are surrounded by the stores. There are plenty of benches to sit on and people watch. The food stores aren't really open yet as well as a bunch of other stores, there are signs on them saying "coming soon", but you really can't see what they are going to be. We drove around the parking lot for maybe 15 minutes like all the other people looking to park and I felt like we were all roaches looking for our next meal, Some of the stores include Wilsons Leather, Icing, Gap, Old Navy, etc. I'll go back in a few weeks to see if they added/opened more stores. read more

I went to Saks at Tangers and after shopping and paying for my stuff, I asked for a bag, to which the Cashier replied that "as both pair of shoes fit in one bag, she doesn't see the need to give me another bag". ? This was first time in my life that I was denied a empty bag! That's after I purchased 2 pairs of shoes. Why was not given another bag, if I shopped there ? The shoes were for two different people. If I can get a empty bag at a Dollar store, then why can't I get it there ? I than went to Coach at Tangers and was given 2 (Much better looking) bags without a purchase. What kind of standards does Saks have, or was the lady at the cashier just being racist (which I strongly believe was the case). read more

This was my first trip to Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, NY and I drove in from East Islip, NY which was only a 15-20 minute drive. I made sure to snap a photo of the small flag to mark the parking lot and spot because it is so huge I was afraid I would forget where I parked! I was very impressed with the size as the map shows over 120+ stores and several places to eat. There are large maps of the complex posted everywhere (this is NOT AN ENCLOSED MALL) which is helpful if you are looking for a particular store. In order to get to each store you must go outside. I went to shop the Talbot's outlet and the Oakley outlet stores among a few others. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds, store fronts, inside the stores, bathrooms and restaurants. All VERY clean. There were also several security guards posted who also help you with directions for places to eat or shops you are looking for. There is also a large movie theater and I noticed around the outside of the complex is a waffle house and a Joe's Crab Shack. I found it impossible to shop the entire thing in one trip! It is way too large. I was there about 3.5 hours and will have to save the rest for another time. I highly recommend shopping there, the staff is very helpful, it is amazingly clean and very well organized as well as they have great prices and a HUGE variey of everything you can imagine and more! read more

The nice stores. Layout a little confusing. Really should have some entertainment at night and some real anchor eateries

Kristi R had the most astute review. We had to be on "Wrong Island" to see a friend in the hospital. We thought we would get some shopping done as well. It was not laid out well and really confusing. The best thing about it the look is quaint and pretty to look at from the outside. But for the purposes of shopping it is not put together very well. Susan L and Vikki M also mirror what Kristi says. I do not like to shop to begin with and making it difficult to find stores makes me not want to ever go back. If I shop, to go back, I need it to be comfortable and easy to navigate. We were there in the October snow storm. We could not find what we were looking for in spite of having viewed an on line map first. It was too difficult to find my way around in a snow storm so I ended up not buying anything and I do not shop for pleasure. I shop when I need something. I guess if you live in the area it is okay but in my opinion it is not worth going out of your way for. read more

Shame Shame Shame on Tanger Deer park for not preparing a traffic situation on Black Friday. The stores weren't even crowded BUT it took hours upon hours to leave the parking lot.
