Great spin studio! The studio is clean and spacious and everyone here is very nice and friendly - including the participants! I have only been here a handful of times when I am in town but have only had great experiences. As far as the workout/instructors go, AK is a fantastic, extremely motivating instructor. I always leave here knowing I got the best workout in possible. Although these bikes do not have digital tracking, you feel just as challenged as you do after taking Flywheel or Swerve (for those familiar). Would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a challenging (but doable) cardio workout. read more

I. LOVE. THIS. STUDIO. I have never done a spin class up until about three weeks ago when I did a free trial with ClassPass. I have been frequenting the Asbury Park location ever since and have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with spin. The instructors bring such an incredible energy and so much inspiration and encouragement that gets you through the ride, with amazing music and fun choreography. I absolutely love AK and Nicole R, and can't wait to try other instructors too! Highly recommend giving this place a try, because I have found something I never knew I loved and needed so badly. Cycle with a cause! What better way to motivate your workout than knowing you're helping students in need? "The more you ride, the more you provide" (their words). It's a bit off my beaten path, but I was visiting a friend who recommended Tandem knowing how crazy I've become for spin, and I'm so glad she did. I didn't have my spin shoes which worked out fine, because they have rentals for only $2. Their bikes are also compatible with SPD and Look cleats (if you have your own shoes). Cubbies are available-no locks, but don't worry it's safe. They provide a personal experience, so sign up online first (trust me-it's easier this way), because even though they take walk ins, their classes pack it in! Their only downfall? No showers, and I definitely broke a sweat. Thankfully, my friend's place wasn't too far form the studio. I think it's the only reason I'd give them a 4. Perks: There's plenty of parking outside, filtered water dispensers (bring a bottle) and towels. I'd go for a 3 month package. I can't imagine taking less than 4 classes/week once you break the seal. I frequent Peloton, Flywheel, BFX, and Revolve, and I really hope they open a Tandem studio closer to my house. read more

Really great work out that seems to fly by! I have taken a lot of spin classes at various studios in the city and AK may be the best instructor I've ever had! Her energy, encouragement and positivity is unlike anything I've ever experienced accompanied by an awesome playlist! The studio itself is clean and new and the front desk is very friendly. I love that bikes are first come first serve, allowing clients the ability to ride next to a friend. I am so happy to have Tandem as an option on ClassPass to utilize when I am visiting my parents on weekends! Would highly recommend! read more

I was just back in NJ a few weeks ago to visit family & friends and I came across Tandem Cycle on Yelp. I am SO happy I found out about Tandem Cycle because my wedding is just 2 months away and while I was visiting NJ I didn't want my work out routine to take a back seat. The studio is very clean and very spacious which I love! They have parking lot right in front of the studio so parking was a breeze. The class and instructor kept me moving the entire time. Their music selection was awesome! The next time I am back in NJ I will be visiting Tandem Cycle for my fitness relief! read more

AK is one of the best instructors i have ever taken class from she's positive and has so much great energy and her smile is contagious. with that being said she is probably the only one i have seen smile in that studio. the front desk staff looks like they want to be anywhere but there. i have worked at a spin studio before and i know the attitude of the front desk changes the whole dynamic of the studio and they are not doing their jobs very well. i asked for help with a bike the other day and two front desk members and the instructor looked at me like i had three heads. overall everyone seems to have an attitude in the studio. the spin class is decent enough and being the only one in the area there aren't any other options of studios to go to. therefore, i will most likely go back but not very often as i can only take their crappy attitudes every so often. read more

I found this studio through a search on the MINDBODY APP and I could not be more excited. The studio is very clean and all the instructors are awesome. I have come to like MC's classes the best, she gives counts and cues throughout the class which helps me stay on the beat throughout the duration of the class. I have taken different instructors and I could not say a bad thing about anyone, I think it's just about finding your preference when it comes to teaching style.
