I have been frequenting the Asbury Park location ever since and have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with spin. The instructors bring such an incredible energy and so much inspiration and encouragement that gets you through the ride, with amazing music and fun choreography. I absolutely love AK and Nicole R, and can't wait to try other instructors too! Highly recommend giving this place a try, because I have found something I never knew I loved and needed so badly. As others have mentioned, these bikes are not your normal spin bikes, they're dynamic and move to simulate the movements of a real bicycle. I'm sure that after a few classes, people grow accustomed to it, but it was a sharp learning curve for the one free trial class we attended. The instructor, Ki'an, was enthusiastic and able to gear the class to all levels. He spent time at the beginning of class explaining how to maneuver the bike as there were a few of us who were newbies. Pre-selecting your bike online was also kind of nice, as we didn't have to show up absurdly early to sit where we wanted to.

I visited Manasquan for the first time in several years today and I was shocked at the level of disrepair evident everywhere in the club. The men's locker room was particularly disappointing, and the showers were frankly unsanitary and covered in mold. What was once a lifestyle club with immaculate facilities is now substandard to the $29/month clubs. It's embarrassing to be a member of the Atlantic Club now.

I didn't know a ton about spin classes going in but felt I was able to catch on well enough and got in a good workout. There was a good age range at the classes I was in (both ladies and guys in a few of the classes) and it seemed like Clementine was a workout staple for most. Only minor thing would be that it was a little difficult to hear the instructor at times - mind you I did tend to be toward the back of the space (bc first time jitters). Coming in and not knowing a ton it was a little tough to hear what to do over the music. However, I would just watch the people around me and figure it out. The management of this company was awful - mean, rude, greedy, selfish, downright awful people. On three different occasions they tried to threaten me into paying for something that they had no right demanding. Of course I prevailed, but many people don't want the aggravation of having to take companies to court. And, I even offered to remain a member if they would just drop their ridiculous demands, but no, "fight me for a nickel and lose a dollar". Good bye and good riddance!!!
