Prices are very reasonable, and they work on a "points" system in which you purchase a points package and you can use them on any equipment including beds, standups, red light machines, spray tans...etc. there is always a promotion going on, and the salon itself is very clean and the equipments are well maintained. The hours are great too, and I have never had to call and make an appointment and can usually get in right away. They don't have a big selection of lotions, so if you have a specific one that you like I would definitely bring your own. I will say that the beds do get quite hot, even with the fans, so if you are not someone who enjoys a hot bed, I would go during non-peak hours! They have 3 different levels of beds, and 2 different stand ups. You can definitely tell that they maintain their equipment extremely well as I have actually never seen a burned-out bulb on any of them, and no dust bunnies inside the acrylic either!

They are located on the second floor next to a gym. The staff working there are so nice, knowledgeable and receptive. As it was my first time at this location, and not knowing the machines, they've provided me needed info and also adjusted my time during my treatment. Why it's 5/5? I'm a little OCD since covid, and their level of cleanliness is very passable. They assured my visit was comfortable, provided me with extra towels to cover my face ( I was wearing SPF and I do retinol) and my neck gets sensitive hence extra coverage (I had planned to use my dri fit top). I didn't bring my UV googles, and they offer UV googles too with no hidden cost. The fan in the room and it's setup was perfection. Also, I didn't encounter any dust bunnies considering all the rooms had fans running. Overall experience was one of my favourites in Vancouver to date.

I've been using their level 3 bed and I've never had an experience like this tanning where I found…read more4 long white stripes down my back. When I brought this to their attention they were defensive in making sure I knew their bulbs were new and that I need to constantly readjust positions if I want to avoid white stripes. So now this is my fault? I've never been warned that using a lay down bed I need to be moving around so I don't get white stripes nor have I ever had this issue tanning anywhere else before. If their beds give their customers white stripes down their body that are absolutely humiliating then that should be said when signing up for a membership. Or they should get new beds because that doesn't seem right to me. Hoping to cancel my membership now Update: thanks to the owner for replying. I replied stating how frustrated I was, how they should warn their customers of white stripes, and how I'd like to discuss my membership. As a member of a place, I feel I should trust them to warn me about potential issues, I'm paying for the service that they should be knowledgeable about correct? And the lack of genuine concern and trying to upsell her higher level beds which I'd have to pay extra to use just to fix something they didn't want me about. They were also totally fine explaining my membership and how I can quit anytime I want to. I'm sorry but doesn't it make sense to try to retain long term customers? I was so brushed off and dismissed, I wasn't treated as a person, I wasn't understood about my frustrations. The company is very defensive to not take accountability and instead explain how the beds are obviously going to prevent uv exposure in some places and I can see for myself. Who here can explain how tanning beds worked? Is it obvious which places on a tanning bed will prevent uv exposure to someone who has been an inconsistent tanner for only 4 months? Is that common knowledge. because I was made to feel like it was instead of simply recognizing that this should have been communicated and they made a mistake, or even trying to make it right for me. Sorry kelly, I know this is your business and you want to defend it and I get one customer won't make a difference to your team losing. But I regret signing up at this salon and I'll be looking for a new membership at a salon that won't leave stripes along my back (or at least mention that it's a potential warning)

This is the second time I have Sunscape Tanning a chance. I notice that another customer of the salon has written quite a long rant about the loss or " theft" of her cell phone. Common sense would dictate that ANYWHERE you go , you assume complete and 100% responsibility of your own belongings. This is true at the grocery store, in a restaurant or anywhere you choose to carry your valuables. I see see signs EVERYWHERE I go that " Management is not responsible for the loss of your personal items." If you are big enough to have cell phone, or a purse, you take care of them and make sure they are never left anywhere that they can be removed without your knowledge. I am very particular about where my money is spent, I go out of my way to support small businesses in almost every area of my life. I would vouch for this tanning salon's staff and management , no question about it. I am sorry this young lady ( or man) lost their phone but to " warn" us to keep our personal belongings safe is a no brainer for ANY place you go.

On one occasion I was renewing my monthly membership when the young lady at the front desk told me she had some 2 for 1 coupons and would I like to use one. Now that is honest service!!!! In my 2 years I've never had anything stolen nor been in the studio when anyone else has had this problem. It is unfortunate that Ka had her phone stolen. I feel for her, but her review is way over the top. Perhaps she should have hung her clothes up on the door pegs instead of laying them on the lone chair. It would have made it much more difficult to get to the phone. I love the place and planning on staying for many years to come. George in Richmond.
