I'm not a regular tanner. I do prefer red light therapy booths and spray tans on occasion. Finally got around to popping in Tan De Soleil recently. They are located on the second floor next to a gym. The staff working there are so nice, knowledgeable and receptive. As it was my first time at this location, and not knowing the machines, they've provided me needed info and also adjusted my time during my treatment. Why it's 5/5? I'm a little OCD since covid, and their level of cleanliness is very passable. They assured my visit was comfortable, provided me with extra towels to cover my face ( I was wearing SPF and I do retinol) and my neck gets sensitive hence extra coverage (I had planned to use my dri fit top). I didn't bring my UV googles, and they offer UV googles too with no hidden cost. The fan in the room and it's setup was perfection. Also, I didn't encounter any dust bunnies considering all the rooms had fans running. Overall experience was one of my favourites in Vancouver to date. read more

This is the best tanning salon in the West End by far. It's great location and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. It's clean and modern with great beds and they have fantastic deals on their monthly tanning packages. They also offer a red light booth and spray tans if that's your jam. They also have an excelled t selection of lotions for sale. I would recommend them to anyone looking to tan in the area, every time! read more

The only stars I can honestly give is to the staff, they put up with so much at this location, especially being neighbours with the laundromat. I understand rent in this area is disgusting, but it would be so nice if the owners could show a little love back to the studio. Non of the speakers work, or the Fans in the beds and it doesn't feel all that clean. They need to do a big...and I mean big deep clean. There are cobwebs in corners I've been looking at for about a year. Sometimes garbage gets under the stand ups and you have to listen to it flapping in the grate or worse watch it flying around. Customers could be a little more courteous and take their garbage to the bins that are legit everywhere to help this out too. The staff are lovely and it's a great price, so don't not go here. read more

I went there today to start tanning to get ready for my upcoming trip to Palm Springs. I haven't been there in a couple of years. I thought I had minutes left but couldn't recall IF I did, and IF I did how many...the girl behind the counter informed me that I had a lot of minutes left. I was pleasantly surprised how honest the girl was. She could have told me that I had no minutes left and I would have believed her. They are always very polite and the place is always clean. Always clean. Never need an appoinment which works well in my last minute lifestyle. They'll store your lotion, provide sunnies, and no time limit to get ready before you start your bed. I agree with the other comment regarding the staff - but in their defence, I only tan a couple times a week and this is a REALLY busy location...then again Starbucks remembers their regs..... :) All in all this is my first choice tanning salon in my neighborhood. read more

The staff are nice. The facility is clean and well managed. The equipment seems good, and they do replace the bulbs regularly. But all that nice goes away once you sign a monthly contract. The agreement would make a divorce lawyer's toes curl. There is an enrollment fee, and getting out of the contract is not easy. You must appear IN PERSON to cancel (or so they insisted with me), so no email or phone cancellations, and, if you cancel, you must pay for the rest of the month that you are in when you cancel, and then for the entire next month. So I leave with a bad taste in my mouth. That being said they hire very well, have good equipment and convenient hours. If you decide to use them, my advice would be to wait for their minute packages, which they offer regularly, and buy them. Just realize that a "minute" is only a minute on the most basic beds. So a stand-up machine uses 3 plan minutes for every machine minute. read more

Been coming here for years! The beds are clean, wait times are minimal if existent at all and the staff are great - some even remember my name :) The minutes never expire and they always have fab deals through out the year so sign up for those email newsletters. Very clean studio. Lots of beds and very friendly staff. I will say, this place has one of the better prices in town for drop-ins, and if you're looking for a basic bed with face-tanner, you'll do no better than here. I do wish they had a one or two high-pressure lie downs, but I get that those would be considerably more expensive. In any case, this place is definitely worth checking out. I have been tanning here for sometime now and I can definitely say that the girls at this salon are the reason I still tan there. Kelly and Jahara are an absolute delight and always make my day when I see them, they are so fun, cheerful and keep the place looking pretty on point ! The beds themselves are old though and not that strong, so I suggest using their standup beds for the strongest tan. But if you're looking for kicks ass service and a neighbourhood salon that gets the job done. This is the spot. read more

Would never recommend anyone to sign any type of contract with this business. I called to cancel my tanning membership and was told to come into the salon I came in that day and requested my account be canceled (over a month in advance). I was told my account would be canceled effective Dec 1, 2018. I came in a couple weeks later to confirm my membership had been canceled, surprise to me it had not been. I again requested for my membership to be canceled and was told she would let her manager know of the cancelation. After my second visit I assumed the cancelation would be processed. I recently noticed it was not and I have been charged 3 additional months. When I called to let them know of this error I was asked about a cancelation document that I should have been given to sign. This was the first time I heard of this. I was never asked to sign any type of cancelation form in the 2 times I visited the salon to cancel. She then told me I would not be given a refund because I did not sign said document (that was never presented to me). Even though I came in 2 separate times and she could easily see on my account I had not been into the salon since November. I told her this was unacceptable as there was nothing more I could have done to ensure my account was canceled. How was I to know of this document I was suppose to sign when the 2 staff members I dealt with did not ever mention it to me. I was told I would receive a call back once she spoke to the owner. I never received a call back I had to call them back to ask what the status was. I spoke to another new manager who told me she had to get back to me. Once she did the same message was relayed, since I did not sign a cancelation form I am basically shit out of luck because 'their employees always follow the same cancelation procedures' AKA we do not care that you attempted to cancel your account 2 separate time because our staff made an error and didn't get you to sign a form you are now out about $90. I fee as though they are telling me I am a liar and because they can't find this document that I didn't actually cancel my account. I have not stepped foot in the salon since I thought I had canceled my account. I am not being reimbursed instead they offered me 2 months of free tanning. Why would I want free tanning if I canceled my membership 4 months ago. Completely unacceptable business practice. I asked twice for my account to be canceled and they still continued to take 3 months worth of payments from my account and now they will not return my money. I gave them about 3 weeks to make this right, multiple phone calls and they have not so now I come to social media to let the public know the way they run their business. I have been tanning here for years, over 6 years for sure! I love this tanning salon and have never stepped foot in another salon since coming here. The only issue I have now is the tanning beds, this location needs an UPGRADE. I remember years ago and I'm sure only the owner will remember there were these premium beds that were like the classic ones they have now and those were amazing, I got so dark from those beds. The classic beds really need to go and new ones need to be brought in as they barley give you a tan or even help build one. The premium beds at this location I am really not a fan of, I can go tanning here for a month and I won't receive a tan from these beds unless I use a bronzer lotion which I stay away from now. This is to the owner, as a long time customer could you please upgrade the beds in this location. It is long overdue. Room 5 has been closed for months and now room 15 is not working. I have also noticed in room 2 with the classic some of the lights don't work or some are dimmer. Please change some of the classics to other beds and maybe you can open room 1 again to a new bed? Please upgrade the salon like you have the Coquitlam one. Please :) read more

Went here for years then took a hiatus and am now starting back again. The salon is clean, seldom had to wait for a bed and then it was only a couple of minutes. The staff is professional, friendly and they knew my name, my room preferences, etc. Like all businesses, they have a cancellation policy so read your contract. If you want to put your contract on hold over the summer, the business is very accommodating: did it a couple of years running. Very surprised at a few negative comments on here, but as anyone working with the public knows, some customers are high maintenance. read more
