The girls that wort there are knowledgeable and don't try to upsell you. They have been helpful suggesting times and beds to use.

This place has a decent spray bed but the amount of waiting to just get service is ridiculous, I've been waiting 20 min to just get waited on here. Each trans action seems to have to be done separately so even though there's only been one person in front of me I've had to wait so long & the poor line of people behind me. Their beds always have bulbs that are out, or the entire bed is out of service. The door has been broke for months and months. They charge yearly maintenance fees but don't maintain their beds. They have poor quality beds and service. It's very unfortunate. Would not recommend. The only reason I still go is because there are no other tanning services close to me. read more

After canceling my membership fully with no amount due in my account, their systems "glitched" and stole $20 from my card on the day that fees are due. I contacted customer service and they wanted to give me $20 in credit to use at their stores but I of course said no. Then they said they couldn't find any history of that transaction going through, so I sent them a picture of my bank statement clearly stating the date, time, company name, and amount taken out, so they then stopped responding to me and I still haven't gotten my money back! read more

This is by far my favorite place to tan. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the beds are warm and effective, and best of all, parking is ample and always available. And I have never had to wait to use a bed! :-) read more

I've never been that knowledgeable about tanning but coming from Southern California where we had a bit more sun I needed to get some vitamin D. The people who worked here were so nice and patient answering all of my questions about packages, types etc. the lot that the place is located in is not super appealing but other than that this place is great! read more

I went into the West 11th location in Eugene, Oregon on February 27, 2020. Last year at this same time both my husband and I bought a Spring Break package that was unlimited everything for a month. That was perfect considering we were tanning for a vacation, and didn't really need anything after that because we have an outdoor pool. However when I went in and asked if they were going to have the Spring Break special they said no. So I purchased a one month plan for both my husband and I for $148.00 each, which did not include everything. Yesterday I got a notice that they were having a Spring Break special. I asked the front desk employee about it and she said yes they were. (Different employee that the first.) I told her the story and she said "oh I'm sorry", that there's nothing she can do. I asked to talk with a manager and she said "they were not allowed to contact the management" WHAT! I paid $100.00 more, and the package was not as good. She told me that since I started tanning on the 27th there was nothing I could do. I told her I would of waited two days, if they would of told the correct information regarding the SPRING BREAK SPECIAL!!!! Avoid Tan Republic at all costs the clerks are trained in sales not customer service I asked four different "sales clerks" during a one month unlimited tanning how much time they put on their bulbs and how much time was currently on them not one of them could ever give me a straight answer. They are a gross excuse of a tanning facility and need to be trained on customer care instead of on sales alone. Waste of time and money. Every place in town is better. Pretentious and lazy, loud and unreasonably unkempt. The owners should be ashamed. I hope this place gets better but I don't see it happening. read more

Wasn't welcomed upon coming in, no friendly customer service. Could have smiled and said welcome - instead just straight face, not much emotion. Was told it would be a few minutes and I could sit while I waited. Waited for AN HOUR for a spray tan while the girl working allowed people who came in after me to get their spray tan before me. I've never waited so long at a tanning place. This is just ridiculous, will not return. read more

I was not happy with my overall experience. First, the tans are really expensive, and the ongoing membership and feed are ridiculous. Worst of all tho, I got burned in the diamond beds. I have olive complexion and have never burned in a stand up or lay down bed. I was told to start with 5 mins. I did then waited 2 days and went to the RR location for 6 mins. I did not feel good when I got out of the bed. For days, my eyes hurt and my skin felt hot and oversunned. On the POSITIVE side, when I informed them of my issues, they responded quickly. And tho **they have a policy that no refunds can be given even if you tanned zero times in a month.** They did give me a free month at a location of my choice to catch me up so I wasn't just out the money. I couldn't seem to get there during their open hours and I think I was freaked out. I have tanned at 3 other places in town and all are highly preferred to Tan Republic. Sorry! read more

Don't really love tanning but I do like not looking so pale and it helps so that I don't have to wear any make-up other than mascara. This location is within 3 miles of where I live so somewhat convenient although I hate driving on W. 11th Avenue. Staff is friendly and greets me at least 95% of the time and there is never any pressure to purchase products. I get a great deal on the more expensive packages if I buy on Black Friday so I purchase all my tanning sessions for the year at that time. Would love earlier hours on the weekends and wish they were open till 8 pm but I can understand the staff feeling vulnerable being there alone after certain hours. read more
