I really liked that she spoke with me about diet and skin health and all that.. After she was done giving me my facial she put some tinted stuff on my face (without my permission) and I didn't realize it until it started coming off and stained my clothes! I think she was trying to let me leave with that "glowing"appearance, but that should be from the service not some painted on cream. On top of that, the Groupon situation was kind of a hassle. First she was late. I stood outside in the freezing cold waiting. She doesn't understand older skin. She bruised my whole face!! She talked way too much She put tinted lotion on which then got all over my pillows and clothes. I sent pictures of my face but never heard back from her. Do not go here. read more

DISCLAIMER: This review has nothing to do with my existing skin issue or that I had certain expectation from the microdermabrasion to do wonders on my acne issue (If that was my expectation I would have chosen to get a full treatment from dermatologist; someone who has a degree and specializes in skin treatment) . I understand its not in esthetician's control to guarantee skin miracles from a treatment. Agreeing and pursuing to get any treatment done is on the customers.This review is simply on the actual service provided for the price. If you are paying for an expensive service you expect the esthetician to make that effort and provide a service. This review is about lack of service provided for the price. You can't advertise it as an hour service and spend less than 30 mins on actually doing the work. It's very rare I give someone a very bad review. But this needed to me said. I went for a microdermabrasion treatment, which I got for $53 deal from Groupon, and normally it's charged for $103-$110 I think. It's a one hour service, so I was expecting it to be of that quality for the price. I arrived 10 mins early for the treatment. Just couple mins before my appointment,I was asked to fill out a proper medical form sharing medical history. I inquired if this was necessary for something like microderm (as I was not getting a laser therapy or chemical peel). I got a very rude one-word with a hint of eye roll reply, "yes" and then "yeah you are required by law" (which finally made sense) and then I filled it out. I laid on a heated bed which felt relaxing in the beginning. Then I asked her what should be my expectation on microderm, and she informed me the details. I told her yes sounds good, I still want to get the treatment. And then she started telling me about acne and all the possible reasons for it (I didn't ask her anything about this and she just started talking....) By now, we are 30 mins in and she is still talking about it and I am just sitting there quietly wondering when will my treatment start... She was talking non stop for the whole one hour. It's supposed to be a soothing relaxing treatment but no. I went home with a neck sprain and headache as well. The $53 treatment which is a $103 any other day included a face wash, a moisturizer applied (this all took less than 5 mins) and then derma cleaning and the microdermabrasion ( both total took less than 15mins) which I know because I was timing it. And then some serum and more moisturizer applied after that (which again took less than 3 mins). That's it. I could have prepped my skin (and just take $10 from me for using the machine for less than $15 min of service). Such a scam. All this for $53 + tip! It was suppose to be a one hour service which ended up with just me listening her talk non stop about skin products that I didn't even ask to learn about. I didn't talk most of this hoping she would take the hint. But no. This was such a disappointment. I'm probably never coming back. read more

I had a chance to get a facial for the first time. Specifically I had a microdermabrasion treatment and it was great! Melinda was so nice! She gave me a bunch of great pointers on skin care products and helpful tips on how to better care for my skin. It's clear Melinda loves what she does and puts a lot of careful attention in giving the best product, treatment and experience to her clients. I'll definitely be back! read more
