The chicken seems to have been marinated in baking soda to ensure it's that soft. We loved this dish. **curry noodle soup- 4/5- we got two versions of this. One with the original thick udon noodle and the other with thin rice noodles. The udon noodle version reigned supreme. The curry in this case was similar to the Thai coconut curry style. **chicken ramen-3.5/5- it lacked a depth of flavor in the broth though on the surface it had all the makings of a good bowl of ramen. **veggie gyoza-4.5/5- the filling was flavorful. Doused in their sauce, it was delicious. **thai fried rice with chicken- 4.5/5- rice was moist and umami rich. Chicken was soft. Though it was not pineapple fried rice, they had pieces of pineapple as well. Though I am not a fan of fruit in my fried rice, it was surprisingly delectable. We read later that the place is actually run by a Chinese family. They make Japanese food as their kids love the cuisine. They also have a lot of boba based drinks. Tasted so good, burned my tongue a little it was so hot. Ate a bit more, and that's when my mouth started burning up! The dish was a little more spicy than I expected. Tried to eat more, but it was too much for me. My hubby on the other hand was in his glory. He Loves heat. The spiciest the better. He tried mine and said it was just as spicy as his, which he loved. So, I just thought we would take mine home for him to enjoy later. I have to say it was good, before I had to cry uncle. So would definitely have to return for another try and let them know I can't take the spiciness. I did notice that the restaurant was busy with takeout orders. So I guess that's their main business. The flat noodles were cooked perfectly and the chopped peanuts on topped added just the right texture contrast needed for the dish. I added chicken for my protein and the white meat chicken was moist and tender. I was so pleased I went back the next day for lunch with a friend. She order the Pla Rad Prik (spice level 4 peppers), and I ordered the garlic fried rice. She had never been and thoroughly enjoyed the food.
