Everything about BarNaan js exceptional. This is an amazing nugget nestled in Connecticut. All the appetizers were great, but the one that surprised us was the eggplant, thinly sliced and full of flavor. The tres leches dessert with lychee Bobba was simply superb, so good that we ordered another. This was our second visit and am positive we will be here a lot. read more

We started with Vada Pav - "Bombay ka chaos in boujee avatar.... bro yeh hota hai na vada pav Lamb Chops - juicy, smoky, and that khus khus ka flex! ... ek dam damn delicious Old Delhi Chicken Tikka - Woh purani Delhi wali feeling, but plated like it belongs in Manhattan! Masala Prawns - Honestly... oily tha, vibe nahi bani and that Tandoori Chicken was Low key okay... not bad, not wow The mains were mid tbh... but the lamb biryani? ABSOLUTELY banging But the cocktails and desserts are the real deal here--no debate. Purple Meringue Pie = pure drama in a glass East Bound and Down = not basic, just peacock-level extra - bro cocktails ek dam next level hai! Bar Naan continues to be amazing! Rinal, the owner, is always around working as hard as the rest of the staff. Always love catching up with her, she is incredible and runs a beautiful, well managed operation. We tried some new dishes this time and they were fantastic. I highly recommend the elevated vada pav, as well as the kachori, malai kofta, and lamb biryani. Very delicious, very generous. Drinks are always a hit, gorgeous and tasty. Worth a trip to CT! read more

Absolutely fabulous establishment - food, drink, service, and ambiance all top knotch. I got to try a few different dishes and a few cocktails and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The tikka masala fries and the Mumbai mule were highlights, but the entire menu was impressive. The dishes were high quality and the cocktails very creative. It is super cute inside and the staff is highly accommodating and nice. Highly recommend this establishment! read more

It was wonderful Indian food. A tad more pricey than others. The food was traditional and delicious.

so I haven't even gotten the food yet, however! I have called them 3 times asking and ensuring for specific requests. The employee on the phone was not only accommodating but extremely kind. If the food arrives and it's mid, I don't really care because they made me feel ensured that my food was going to be prepared the way I requested (3 different times). read more

Another great meal at BarNaan with great company and excellent service. Very disappointed to see the tikka flatbread removed from the menu but looking forward to trying their lunch menu one day. read more

Absolutely incredible experience at BarNaan Indian Restaurant -- this place has officially become our new favorite. From the moment you walk in, you can taste the love in everything they do. The vibe is chill yet vibrant (think special glowing drinks), with a beautiful ambiance that makes you want to linger, sip cocktails, and enjoy every bite. The food? Out-of-this-world delicious. The chicken biryani was perfectly spiced and fragrant, the chicken Madras and Vindaloo had bold, comforting heat, and the butter chicken was rich and dreamy. The chana masala stole the show -- full of flavor and clearly made with care. Pair it all with warm, fluffy naan and expertly crafted cocktails, and you've reached nirvana. . This is a very popular spot for a reason, so definitely make a reservation if you're going on a Saturday night -- it's worth planning ahead. We drove an hour to dine here and waited an hour to get a table (should have taken my own advice about the reservation). The customer service is top notch, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server, Danny, was so sweet and a true professional. This was our second time dining here, and we already know we'll be back again (and again). We even had the honor and privilege of meeting the owner, his family and the executive chef (the kitchen is spotless), which made the experience even more special. They truly make you feel like you're visiting family and friends, not just eating at a restaurant. BarMaan isn't just a meal -- it's an experience, Bar none ;) read more

Came here for lunch with a local friend after hearing a lot of foodie chatter! The spacious place was decorated tastefully with an old country feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We had to wait for seating as there was only one waiter but not really a problem. We ordered the food and it came out piping hot as it should and it was cooked to perfection. The food was delicious and authentic! I highly recommend this place! Hope to come back again on a future trip to Danbury! read more

Been here a few times and it's consistently great! I love reliable places like this. I also typically get the same things so I can attest to its consistency. Although I recently discovered the cheesy naan bread. Usually I'd order the garlic but man it's the cheese one for me from now on! You get great cheese pulls still with that garlicky flavor. Here is my chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka tandoori, and the vegetable samosas. read more

Just had the worst experience there.. sitting at the bar we waited 12 min before being acknowledged.. we ordered our drink and food the second he came over. We then waited 75 minutes after ordering food we asked if our food was ready. Someone one came back with our food in a to go bag. We were dining in. It sat under a heat lamp for at least 20 minutes. Others that came in 15 minutes after us got their food 15 minutes before we asked where our food was. When they came out with the to go bag we asked how long it was packaged, the guy said "it still feels warm". Then the same person proceeded to say I can put it in a bowl for you. The bartender who was also our server said " I can only do do much". Needless to say. We said no thank you and we would not be coming back. He said I could only do so much. read more

Typically I don't care for Indian food, but my wife and mother in law really wanted to come so I went along with them. We started with masala shrimp and barnaan bites, both were excellent. Dinner both my wife and MIL had chicken korma which was good. I had the tandoori chicken which was excellently cooked and seasoned, but bone in dark meat isn't my jam and I didn't like the curry seasoning on the veggies. We also had the garlic, peshwari sweet, and cheese naans. Cheese was everyone's favorite. Peshwari was good and surprisingly garlic was everyone's least favorite. Next time I think I'll get tikka masala. The restaurant was very well decorated. It was packed throughout our dinner so I'd think reservations would be wise. TLDR I guess I do like Indian food because I'd come back here. read more

We had such a great visit. While we're not usually people to sit at the bar, the restaurant was packed and this was our only option. It was such a private spot and we loved it. The bartender was awesome! Attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious! Would definitely return! read more

They adjusted the Tikka Masala back to closer to what it was originally and it's great again. Naan is superior. Lamb dishes all outstanding. Service is great and friendly. Easily the best restaurant in the area. read more

While still hidden gem status, as it's still so new that it doesn't even have its own proper website yet, BarNaan is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten at to date. I've come here about 4 times now and every time I forget to check in because of how excited I am to have their food. What really makes something a five star experience in my mind is great quality and attention to detail and BarNaan goes above and beyond. From the moment you arrive you're greeted by these amazingly crafted pieces from the archway to the inner doors that prime you for the elevated dining experience you're about to have. For food, my go-to has been the medium chicken tikka which is super flavorful and, while spicy, isn't so insanely hot that you can't enjoy it anymore. It's complemented perfectly by the basmati rice that comes with it, and you can't go wrong adding some naan bread (garlic or cheese). Some may look at the prices and question why it's so expensive but not only can you immediately tell the freshness and quality of the ingredients, but they give you such a good helping that it can and does last at least 1 to 2 extra meals! Now thats bang for your buck that's unmatched anywhere else. For the drink I got the purple meringue pie which not only beautifully presented but is absolutely delicious. I normally drink an old fashioned and hate gin, but I ventured out of my comfort zone for the sake of the review and it's true: they can make pretty much anything delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food and drinks. read more

Found this place on Resy and so glad we did!!! It's contemporary Indian which is PACKed on a Friday night. Great vibe, amazing bar scene, beautiful interior, very thoughtful details everywhere. So glad we came and it kind of made my day - not very often we try a new place in Brookfield area that's so beyond expectation. I like the food. We ordered too much for 4 people from apps to mains to extra everything. Nothing disappointed. My fav is Saag lamb (you normally get saag paneer or sometimes chicken but rarely with red meat and it's a very interesting mix flavor). Portions are on the smaller side. Price is NYC level. We had a great time and will come back. read more

I would go specifically for the decor, it is stunning. I went with my husband and three kids. I had a Gold Old fashioned which was delicious and the cool branded ice cube added a great touch. We had the Bar naan bites which were massive cheese balls with a nice spiced crust, the kids loved them as did we. The kids had the tikka masala and wings which were all quality. Lamb Vindaloo and Sag paneer where very good as well. Portion sizes are not large but similar to other places we have visited. Prices are a little on the high side but the quality experience makes it worth it for dining in. We will be back. read more

The food was EXCELLENT and the restaurant itself is gorgeous...but tell me why there's one server for every table and we have been finished with our ONE MEAL for at least 20 mins and our dirty plates are still sitting in front of our faces. You would think the bar tender would be a little more aware as well considering he's less than 5 feet away from us at the bar. I'm extremely disappointed in the service after such wonderful food. Do better. Hopefully I'll pay sometime soon! We got here at 2 pm btw and it's 3:30 pm Since I can't seem to add a public comment after the owner replied I will say a few more things that may help their customer service in the future: firstly, I'm sorry for what happened to your server. Unfortunate as the situation was, the bartender could have easily checked in on us instead of constantly wiping the bar down in the 20 minutes we waited for our check...also not ONCE did anyone try to comp anything for the unexplained (at the time) awful customer service...I think customers would be more understanding if a manager came over to check in and explain that a server had to leave due to a medical emergency. Lastly I think it's in bad taste to share someone's private medical information on the internet.... My review still stands: beware all of the customer service from this restaurant. read more

Food (4.7) Service (4.3) Ambiance (4.5) Cute name and great food! We heard the buzz about this new Indian establishment in the area. The Eggplant "Chaat" dish was a great appetizer choice. Fresh Eggplant chips covered with a wonderful sauce and very fresh vegetables, a must try. I surprisingly tried the Loaded Fries as a main, even though far from a traditional Indian dish. Server mentioned it's like Poutine which I remembered as a Canadian comfort food and fries are a vice, not the healthiest but it is a holiday. Wow, was I happy to have ordered this dish, as were my son and wife! French fries covered with great Indian Masala sauce with spice, and of course, stringy mozzarella-like cheese. Gluten free which my wife was happy about. The Chicken Korma was good, traditional and average imo. Same quality as you get at our favorite spot in New Milford. Service was good, they had a person in training which didn't bother us much, yet they honestly could have spent time off-hours showing the basics of how the GUI works on their hand-held terminal. This is customer time and you are charging above average prices so suggest proper basic training away from customers before customer-facing mentoring. We asked for 2 waters yet only received one glass with the nice water carafe they serve. But no biggie. And you are right Kat L, that one bartender did seem like a jerk from where we sat, with his light under drinks and ego. I hope they listen to you as well, it's the people that make a business Great. The ambiance is very nice, modern with a trendy bar (the name), with a very beautiful mural across the large wall behind the bar. Nice job folks! All very clean including their nice bathroom. Others agreed on a 5 star until I just noticed the $8 charge for the 2 additional white rice bowls we needed. The Korma dishes came with a very small bowl of rice so an additional is needed for any average eater. All other Indian establishments either do not charge or charge MAYBE $1 or 2 for additional rice, and those are bigger servings. Sorry about the attention to details, but that's how we distinguish the very good from the great. Keep up the good work, we will return! read more

The chicken for the butter chicken dish was much harder than other Indian restaurants I've been to. Not sure if it was for that day or it's how they cook their dark meat chicken in general, but it should be soft and tender. It was anything but. Also, the mango lassi was way too viscuous and difficult to absorb using the straw provided. Either make the lassi more liquid or enlarge the straw. Garlic Naan was very good! read more

First time around! Really enjoy Indian, Mediterranean, Greek, Italian, and Turkish. Food/Drink: Entrees were amazing, everything tasted fantastic. The flavors and the smells were intoxicating! I had the chicken tikka Marsala! Bread and Apps: The garlic naan oh my god! 2 Small dish of the apps. Dinning Area: Pretty Small, and cramped. Prices: Relatively inexpensive. 2 Small appetizer, 2 entree, and 2 alcoholic drinks I got away for $75. Parking: Plenty of space. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and large in size. Atmosphere: During the weekday Dinner rush, pretty busy. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was decent. Awesome experience! 8/10 read more

We walked out of BarNaan knowing we would 100% go back. The restaurant is so beautiful with hand selected items, from gorgeous wallpaper to silverware/plates. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable And now, let's chat about the food!! It is jam packed with flavor and authentic while also being accessible if there are those who haven't tried Indian food before. Their menu ranges from the classics like butter chicken, chaats, dal to biryani and also innovates as well with masala fries. Their cocktails were so delicious too!! We tried the jackfruit lemonade, buck bunny, and more. This is a welcomed addition to Brookfield! Great ambience and setup. Glad to see a nice Indian place in the area. Heads up: this place is one of those Americanized Indian restaurants. They have a very short menu and food made to cater to the American taste. So, if you are searching for an authentic place BarNaan isn't an option. However, we go the pakoras, chicken appetizer and chicken tikka masala for entree. The prices were decent, taste and quality were on spot. The service was overall very pleasant. I might try it again!! read more

Not many Indian options in the area so we checked it out. They just opened. It's casual dining....Bar. Loud large room. The chaat was cold but tasted good. The biryani was great rasmalai was excellent. The tikka was very sweet and not something I would get again but lots of other dishes to try. Bill for two people was about $120. We ordered an appetizer, two dishes, two drinks, and a dessert. Our typical night out. read more

Ok I just have to say we drove over an hour to get here and it was soooo worth it. This was the best Indian I've had since I've been to England. I don't even know a good Indian that does the basics outside of the UK. The staff went out of their way to help us copy our usual menu. Omg sooo delicious. Their pashwari naan was better than in England. I'd be broke if this place was closer to us! We will be back as the long commute is cheaper than a plane ride. You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED if you dine here! read more

Fantastic. Buck bunny drink was to die for. I walked in feeling normal............................................

Outstanding food!!! Interesting flavors and some unusual dishes. Best restaurant we have been to in years.

Delicious food and great service! Met a friend for dinner and it was already so busy by 6pm on a Wednesday- clearly word has gotten out. We shared the vada paav appetizer and then for entrees we got the saag paneer and the Chana masala as well as lots of naan! Everything was flavorful and I loved the ability to adjust how spicy every dish is. I will say I'll get a little spicier next time but for the first meal we took the safe bet. I didn't order one on a work night but the drink menu looked great as well. Overall this was a great spot to try and the ambiance definitely added to the experience.
