Really delicious food overall! Excellently decorated. The korma lamb was incredible. The garlic naan was a smash hit. The roti was ok, as was the peshwari. Actually the peshwari was really sweet like a desert, which I wasn't expecting. Our server was really great, especially since she was the only one working the entire restaurant at 1:00pm on Sunday. There wasn't a bar tender so no mixed drinks could be served. read more

Best Indian food I've had in years. Over ordered so we could try as many dishes as possible and nearly every one was a hit. Cant wait to go back! read more

You can't beat the food, drinks, and service at bar naan! The drinks are probably #1 in my opinion, the cocktail options are incredible and so tasty. There are a ton of gluten free, vegan, dairy free, vegetarian options for those with food sensitivities or restrictions. The restaurant is small but gorgeous and such a vibe! read more

Bar Naan is a great addition to the area. Service is quickly and friendly and the place is much bigger than the exterior might suggest. They serve decent Indian food in generous portions in combination with the vibe of a bar. read more

Have been eyeing this place for quite sometime as I love this cuisine but it's not my stud's jam so had to wait until he was in the mood and last night, he was! Let's start with parking-decent amount of spots around and possibly more behind but did not check. The restaurant is accessible to all without steps which is great. The vibe and decor when you enter really grabs you from color scheme to cute booths and table settings and a beautiful bar with a stunning glass cascading light fixture. We were seated very quickly as well as greeted by friendly waitress. She advised us on the barnaan bites since it came with a tikka sauce and was stuffed with cheese as we were leaning towards cheese naan. We settled for the bites and they were just ok-felt like the inside wasn't cooked enough although they are fried and they weren't nearly as satisfying in terms of taste and texture as the naan that we are familiar with but waitress was so kind, she offered traditional naan on the house. As for main course, we ordered butter chicken and chicken jalfrezi, both come with choice or rice or naan. Our dinners came out pretty quick -the butter chicken is very saucy. We both agreed the dishes were good but felt that they were both missing salt and we are not salt people-we asked for it and had to wait quite some time to get it, while they were jot busy. The chicken was very moist and tender and the dishes were good. The naan was just ok and somewhat flat compared to what we are used to. The rice really had no flavor and basmati rice is generally very flavorful and has a distinct flavor that we didnt find here. We have a spot that we go to near home that we love and unfairly we compared Barnaan to this place. If we had never been to our original find, we probably would give BN 4 stars but comparing the 2, I can't. Would I go back-maybe and I would try a few apps other than the barnaan bites. Staff is attentive and friendly and place is beautiful and the food is made with quality ingredients and you do taste that but for me, I have a better spot that blows this place away but in terms of the brookfield area, this is a better spot than most and for the brookfield area, I would recommend. read more

Wonderful service and delicious food. A bit on the higher end of expense but definitely a great meal to be had. The whole restaurant was redone very well. Great atmosphere and air of high end classy dining feel. I felt the portions were a bit small for the pricing. There were quite a few tables taken up while we were there. To be honest not sure if they will last as there are other Indian restaurants around offering more for a better cost. read more

Well done. We were greeted immediately and led to a booth. Our waiter, a young friendly lad was excited when we ordered a "whole" (delicious) bottle of Planet Oregon Pinot Noir. We helped teach him how to pour it and he was appreciative. The chicken jalfreezi and Malia kofta were excellent. The garlic naan was superb! Raita was good and cooled down our appropriately medium hot spice. The restaurant is 1/4 bar 3/4 tables/booths with repetitive background music. A bit noisy but tolerable. Highly recommend if you like great Indian food read more

I realize it is Mother's Day but the service left a lot to be desired. Ordered online for take-out and waited at the bar what I thought would be a 20 minute wait. One hour later I had to ask whether my order was ready and they finally said it was. I get home and one of the entrees was missingf from the order (lamb biryani). I tried calling the restaurant to let them know they should credit me back the missing meal and could not get through. The phone kept ringing busy. I attempted to call for over an hour and the phone cotinued to ring as busy. Apparently phone must be off the hook. This was my first time at this restaurant and I thought the 4.7 star rating would make it a good choice. I guess I was wrong read more

Such a cool spot!! The outside seems unassuming, but the inside is beautifully decorated. Modern, swings, art. The service is incredible- you can tell everyone gets along and enjoys what they do. We never had to wait for anything and loved the energy. The food was excellent. Big portions, good spice levels, all fresh. We also loved the unique cocktails. Had never seen ones like them before and we really enjoyed trying the bartender favorites. A great date night or friend hangout spot! read more

I am not sure how to put this out there but when you have preset table including plates glasses and utensils they all become contaminated anytime someone walks in . The airborne contaminants are everywhere and there for utensils should be rolled up in napkin , glasses should be turned upside down and NO PRESET PLATES . If you're thinking of using charger plates then do so . The charger plates protects the actual dinner plate from conducting the heat or cold from the table . The preset plates is a NO NO . As for the DAHI PURI - It was executed very nicely but I would rather have tasted semolina instead of flour for the shell . The flour shell was tasteless and the filling was bland at best . Could not taste the cilantro or mint . A traditional DAHI Puri shell is made from semolina if the filling will be prevalent - but sorry to say neither filling or shell had any dominant flavor . Bar Naan bites was way over priced $16.00 for 5 pieces and again deep fat fried in soy oil - what happened to using coconut oils or cottonseed oils ? Again beautifully executed but flavor was lacking . This street food is very popular in India served with a tangy yogurt sauce but was lacking characteristic of a potato pillow . As for the other 4 dishes served in a soup bowl only to be added to rice in a preset dish waiting on the table . Curry chicken $23.00, madras mix vegetables $22.00, Saag Lamb $24.00 & butter chicken were all delivered in a drowning of sauce with only 5-6 ounces of protein in the meat dishes and maybe 7 ounces of vegetables in the madras . All dishes were tasty and delivered the hot , profile of Indian cuisine but could not understand how they come up with these prices ? It had to of been 18-25% food cost across the board . Yes , you leave there hungry and running off to Wendy's but the rice and sauce were left behind since there was more sauce than protein . Once again , portion control to run yourself out of business . Bianca was an excellent waitress and didn't miss a beat . She explained most of the dishes and we took her recommendations for most popular dishes and appetizers . For 4 dishes and 3 appetizers we were at $145.00 Plus a generous tip To Insure proper Service ( TIPS) we were content but the food did not deliver . The idea was there , the traditional was there , the preparation was there but the flavor profiles were not . I am a former chef , member of the American Culinary Federation , World Association of Cooks Society and inducted into the Le Emis Escoffier Society. Please do not misunderstand my review as we wish BarNaan the best . We want you to do well as we do not need another pizzeria in this small little town of 12 pizzerias on the strip of Federal Road . read more

As soon as I walked into Bar Naan, I felt like I was in NYC! The restaurant is so well decorated, the arch, the wall mural! It's all so chic. My friend and I didn't have reservations (the reservations were pretty much full for peak hours for a Friday night) so we walked in. We weren't able to get a table but we were able to get ourselves a spot at the bar and order food there. The bartenders were nice and attentive. The cocktails were delicious and beautiful. We got the loaded masala fries, eggplant chaat, and tikka flatbread. All were delicious, it did take a while for the food to come out but it may have been because of us sitting at the bar rather than at a table with an assigned waitstaff. The owners were friendly and introduced themselves to us. Will be back for more! read more

Great menu- fantastic food. Not too greasy, well seasoned and cooked. Have had 2 great meals.

The food... excellent! I love spicy Vindaloo and ordered the maximum heat. It was just right. I've been eating it for years and this was the best Vindaloo I've ever had. The portions are large. If you order the mixed bread appetizer you won't need any other. Get some dipping sauces and save some bread for your meal. There is plenty. My daughter, granddaughter, and wife loved everything. Beautiful atmosphere but...and it cost you a star, how about some Indian music piped in? And they could use a larger menu. Unusual that we didn't have an Indian waiter but, hell, he isn't the cook! read more

I will keep this review short. If you like great indian food, friendly service and a clean inviting environment. This restaurant is for you

Wow. We were both very impressed. We got there as soon as they opened since we were in a hurry. We didn't wait long to be seated, and the service was quick. Now, we're no strangers to Indian food. My girlfriend often gets some Uber Eats deal (though I don't, despite being an Uber One member -- go figure) and we usually use it on one of the other two Indian places nearby. There's something about that spicy, spicey, fragrant cuisine that we can't get enough of. Bar Naan might be the best yet. Service started with tap water in a bottle, and the menu is a mix of traditional dishes and fusion items like a lamb burger and loaded masala fries. We ordered the traditional items -- it's a great way to compare places -- and it did not disappoint. The paneer curry had a wonderful flavor, and when I said "spicy", they did alright. My girlfriend's chicken tikka masala wasn't bad, either. We did get a little fusiony with the chili cheese naan, which was more like a quesadilla. Everything was probably the best I've had around here. Portions can vary wildly, but we both left full after having our entrees, a naan, and an appetizer. We'll be back. We'll order delivery if they support that. I think we found a new favorite. read more

BarNaan - Excellent family run bar restaurant. - Indian Near Me - Brookfield, Connecticut

The food is great, and other than the bussing staff the service was awful. I went with a friend and things started out fine until 90 minutes later we were told we had to move because they had a "large party" coming in. That was weird, but okay. Except there were empty tables around where we could have been seated in the first place, and - the "large party" didn't even extend to our table of 2 at the end. After that they seemed pretty much done with us. We went to the bar, with our food, and were summarily ignored by the bartender and waitstaff for the rest of the evening. It was impossible to catch the bartender's eye because, while he seemed pretty busy, he barely looked up the whole time we sat there. I hope the owners see this review because the food is about the best Indian food around, and it's just too bad the waitstaff is really subpar. read more

We were in the Danbury CT area today. We looked for places to eat lunch. We didn't want the same kind of food so we found Bar Naan. From the outside it looked small but it was a good size restaurant inside. Upon entering, We were greeted by Leigh or Lee who welcomed us to the restaurant. Very friendly! I immediately admired the décor. The padded green velvet bar seats were soft and comfy. First we had something to drink they give you water in a cute green glass bottle with a cork, then ordered a starter. I highly recommend ordering masala shrimp. We ended up ordering Korma with shrimp and Jalrezi with chicken very delicious! I have Celiac disease so I have to be gluten free. They have gf , vegan & vegetarian options as well. Labeled on the menu. We left there happy and would eat there again. I apologize I totally forgot to take photos of the food....I still wanted to write this review! read more

Been wanting to try this place after all the good reviews. Somewhat disappointing. The sauces are good but my shrimp in the dish tasted old...I left most of it. Also, the wine selection is very small. But I think the most undesirable thing was we were asked to pay at the table (which is fine) but we didn't see the bill first and the waitperson is standing there while you try to figure out a tip and no custom showed up. Probably won't go back. read more

The staff will make suggestions based on what flavors you like/dislike. The restaurant has a a great mix of high top booths, larger tables for bigger groups, and intimate tables for 2 as well. My wife and I eat out quite a bit, and BarNaan has become one of our favorite go-to spots. It's a cozy Indian restaurant with a modern twist, and we find ourselves coming back often--for both the food and the atmosphere. When it's just the two of us, we usually grab seats at the bar, order a couple of appetizers, and share one entree. The menu leans spicy, but the kitchen is happy to dial it down to medium or mild if that's your style. Everything is freshly made and beautifully presented. One of the highlights is the drink menu--creative, well-crafted cocktails you won't find elsewhere. The bartenders are happy to whip up whatever you like, and everything is mixed with care. They, along with the owners, are genuinely friendly and make the bar feel like a little neighborhood hangout. We often end up chatting with people we meet there. If you're looking for something more private, there are plenty of cozy booths as well. read more

OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE!! If you like Indian food, you neeeeeed to give this place a shot. Some of the most delicious Indian food I've tried and I've tried quite a bit. First off when you walk in the ambiance is amazing and the vibe is so calm and inviting. The house water is in decorative jars that matches the decor. My server was polite and able to juggle several tables at a time without an extended wait. I ordered the cheese naan and Chana masala (came with rice). The food was brought out by the kitchen hot and fresh and every single bite had savory flavor. Although I did not personally try an alcoholic drink, I sat next to a couple who I overheard stating how tasty the specialty cocktails were. I would definitely recommend this establishment if your are in the mood for some traditional Indian cuisine.
