OUTSTANDING. Ambiance, Food, Drinks, Service - All were OUTSTANDING. Our first visit and I am SHOOK. We planned to try another new restaurant for Indian tonight but decided for Bar Naan instead, GOD must have had this planned because there is NO WHERE ELSE, no other local Indian will compare for us. We started with Vada Pav (try it with the ) and Garlic Naan (not pictured but delicious.) I had a spring special cocktail called Naya Mausam (I swapped gin for my favorite tequila) it was delicious and refreshing. Hubs had the chicken vindaloo and I requested an off menu Chettinad with lamb SPECTACULAR. It was everything I wanted and more because everything is so aesthetically pleasing. Finished our meal of with Gulag Jambu (gulab jamun) and a wonderful conversation with Rinal who I may just be convinced is my love language sister. Excited to try this new Indian cuisine it did not disappoint. I forgot to take pictures but the restaurant is spacious and has a very warm and cozy feel to it. The cutlery is nice and the cups and plates all very unique and pretty ceramic. The lighting isn't overwhelmingly bright or too dim. The food was soo good. My dad isn't a huge fan of Indian food but he ordered the lamb burger and was was very pleased. The naan was delicious and warm. I got the tikka masala and it was the perfect consistency, nice and creamy with the perfect amount of flavors and spice. The service was super welcoming and nice. The food came out not too long after ordering. I would recommend this place to anyone. I'll definitely be there again :)) read more

My son and I had dinner at Bar Naan on Saturday night. We did make reservations ahead as they are quite busy. Our waitress was excellent, so friendly and knowledgeable on any questions about the menu, so sorry I can't remember her name. Food was great started with Masala shrimp app yum! The garlic naan was the best I've had. Also delicious espresso martinis perfectly chilled and shaken. The Eastbound and down drink was quite good too. Dinner was delicious my entree was chicken tikka masala mild spice and my son got his Chicken Vindaloo spicy as he likes it! Overall wonderful experience with great atmosphere. First time trying Indian food and was delighted! We started with the cauliflower appetizer and lavender gin drinks. We then had butter chicken and eggplant dish. We were wowed by everything - from how you can taste the spices and flavors with each dish and how accommodating they are with spice heat preference. 10/10 recommend and make a reservation for weekend nights! We came to this restaurant on a Friday night. We called ahead and they said they do not take reservations on a Friday night anymore. We didn't know what to expect since we have never been there before. We arrived around 7:30/8 and had no problem getting a table. The decor inside the place is outstanding! It is so welcoming and warm. We had a nice table that was in front of the bar. If I lived closer, I would definitely go there and have a drink at the bar. I love the comfy velour chairs at the bar. The menu they gave had the smallest print I have ever seen. I am not an old person and don't have trouble seeing, but with it being dark in there and the small print it was so hard to see! I had one of the special cocktails to start, the drinks presentation was beautiful and we saw ones that came out that were interactive. However, the prices are expensive and the sizes are sooo small. As an appetizer, we split the chicken tikka masala pizza. Flavor was good, it was steaming but it wasn't hot. I would try it again though. Then we also had the eggplant appetizer which was outstanding! The eggplant was cute, nice and thin and topped with a fresh salsa. I had a shrimp entree that had a tomato, onion and ginger sauce. I ordered the spice level medium, but it was really hot! Flavor was on point, I enjoyed the onions in the sauce. I would order this again, but would get medium. I really really like this place. The inside is cool; aesthetic is modern boho. It's clean; lively. The food was superb. But the bartender fully ruined my experience here. The other service members were fantastic. But the bartender has got to go. First; he made; not asked; my friend move her seat after she had already settled in; and gave no reason to do this. We ordered cocktails, a starter, and mains; to get water refilled or ask for anything; we had to find a server; the bartender just ignored us. We closed out our bill; bc the restaurant was clearly closing...but surprise!! after having closed out our bill the bartender again; made us move and this time it was so "vloggers" could film a video. I was a bit taken aback bc the restaurant was clearly closing; all the other staff were cleaning up and basically waiting around for the bozo bartender while he poured free drinks for the so called vloggers. Nothing against them; but read the room. The place is closing; and the arrogance of that bartender does not go unnoticed. He is a useless dill-doe that should not be in the service industry. Pouring drinks and presenting them with a light under them is so basic. Maybe providing proper service to paying customers would be a useful learning tool. All in all; The food is tasty; a bit pricey; and if you want to swap naan for rice they charge you. The starters are pretty much all the same; just slightly different ingredients (ie no pani puri). Was anxious to try this place after all the tantalizing posts I've seen on instagram. This place did not disappoint!! The ambiance of the whole restaurant was beautiful and so inviting. The colors and decor were so complimentary to the whole vibe of the place. Our bartender, Alfie, was utterly amazing. He knows what flavors pair well together and can put together any drink off menu. As per Alfies recommendation we had the Mumbai Chaat which was delicious and the Masala Shrimp which was so flavorful and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. Went to Bar Naan on Mothers Day with a little bit of doubt but once we stepped in the ambience of the place completely changed my opinion. The appetizers, drinks were phenomenal. The inside is very tastefully decorated and bright and spacious. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. The paneer tikka fries were out of this world. The biryani veg or chicken were not only delicious but also authentic to the Indian region it originates from. The drinks had whimsical names and were delicious. They are constantly coming up with new types of drinks so save room for a drink or two or more. I will be going back to try the other items on the menu. It is a woman owned enterprise and a great place to relax or celebrate! The restaurant is easily accessible for elderly or with wheel chairs. Bar Naan is beyond what I expected of a typical Indian restaurant. There is nothing typical about this place. It just is a place that I will be gladly returning to often! read more

Really hip space in south Brookfield. Fun music playing, but not so loud as to impede conversation. Decor is nice ... dim lighting, great interior design. Cocktails/drinks are first class. Extensive specialty drinks and well made classic cocktails. The service was attentive, even though the place was really busy for a Wednesday night. The food was honestly the best Indian food I have had outside of India. We had Garlic Naan, Raita, Tandoori Salmon and Chicken Vindaloo. Extremely tasty and food came out quickly. The family just had a nice evening at Bar Naan. The restaurant was busier than expected but , somehow the staff found a table for us in a reasonable amount of time. This was the BEST restaurant experience I've ever had... and I'm 10 years in the industry serving, bartending and managing. Our server, I really wish I remember his name, was INCREDIBLE!! It was our first time having Indian food and he was so helpful and walked us through the appetizer course and main entree with stellar suggestions. He was honest and didn't miss with his recommendations, steered me away from a more "basic" dish that usually is ordered by children to go outside my comfort zone and try lamb for the first time- which was AMAZING!!!!! We started with the Mumbai Beach Bhel & the Chicken 65, not a single complaint there & I had the Korma with lamb and my husband had the Madras with shrimp, we shared the cheese naan with that and omg what a euphoric experience. The drinks were to die for & didn't taste remotely of liquor but I sure felt a buzz. The atmosphere was great too! Everything was so aesthetic and very photo op worthy all around the restaurant from the outside to the food and drinks. I'm very picky when it comes to Indian food however this place really surpassed all my expectations. The eggplant chaat was amazing! The pakora was also delightful. Vada pav was a bit on the spicy end. The lasooni gobi had the perfect spice and amazing crunch to it. The chicken korma and butter chicken were also good.
