Before I go into detail about each one I had, I want to say that all of them were good and have a filling! If that isn't reason enough to check out this bakery, I don't know what is. Red Velvet: This one was my favorite! The cream cheese frosting, red velvet cake, and chocolate ganache-like/pudding center should be proof enough. I would eat this cake until I got sick. It is fantastic! Lick the Bowl: The lady that was helping me said that this is the best seller. Its oreo-flavored icing is light and tastes like it was whipped. This cake is moist and bring the flavors of the cupcake together very well. Lastly, a mini brownie and cookie dough piece both garnish the top. Peanut Butter Cup: A good choice if you like peanut butter. The chocolate cake is either dry or overcooked. However, the icing has a rich flavorful taste and the center is a chocolate ganache. Cookie Dough Craving: Perfect if you like cookie dough. The buttercream icing is my favorite. However, the chocolate cake is either dry or overcooked. Tamara's baked the most magnificent birthday cake for me. I gave them a wedding cake inspiration photo and they did a perfect masterpiece for me. Cake was 2 tiered and both the almond tier (lemon curd/raspberry filling) and chocolate tier tasted wonderful. Staff was easy to communicate with and made collaboration a total joy. This is the second time I've ordered a custom cake and I highly recommend hiring Tamara's to you. The cake was made on time and packaged so I could transport with ease. I'm so sad to say that I wasn't a fan of my cupcakes. They looked beautiful, and I had such high hopes. The "strawberry" filling tasted like cherry cough syrup. It was the farthest thing from any strawberry cake topping I've ever had. The sprinkles were so weird. The pink sphere sprinkles dissolved in the frosting, but the white spheres were so rock hard that they could have broken a tooth. The champagne cake was more sour than I expected having loved other champagne cakes in the past, but the texture was nice and light. The service was wonderful and I'm sure they have better items, I was just bummed to pay such a high price for cupcakes that ultimately didn't get eaten. First of all, the cupcakes and cookies are amazing. Hands down some of the best in the Valley. However it's their dedication the community that should pull you to sponsor this business. I've done foster care for over five years now. There aren't a lot of business that go out of their way to help foster families. Tamara's does. They have given a dozen cupcakes to the different kids we've had for the past few years. It's amazing to see the kids faces light up at the cupcakes. I can do a lot for my kids, but I sure as heck can't make cupcakes like these. Endorse business that are making the world a better place, especially if they do it with frosting. read more

I went in there last minute to buy some sot of treat for a birthday. To my surprise, they have a small collection of cakes already made and ready to go. I bought a small cake, and some cupcakes, and didn't break the bank. I have never disliked something I have bought from there. I can never eat the treats in one sitting, because they are so rich. I used to live in the LA area, and have been to many of the cupcake war bakeries, and this place is still my favorite. I love over the top sweets. read more

I have a family member with celiac disease and have gone to Tamara's to buy gluten-free and regular cupcakes a few times. It's nice to have a GF option available. Both types are pretty good, with lots of very sweet frosting. The frosting is kind of overwhelming for our tastes, so we now stick with occasional GF cupcakes and remove most of the frosting before eating. read more

Long story short. My daughter begged to have a cake from here. So two years ago we did just that. The customer service was awful. I felt as though I was "wasting" their time. Very snotty. Vowed to not go back. Fast forward to this year, once again my daughter wanted her cake from there. At first I was like absolutely not. But then I started thinking, okay, maybe the person was having a bad day. Everyone has a bad day. And the cakes ARE absolutely stunning and tasty. So I'm like sure. We can try this place again and see how it goes. But instead of me going, I sent my husband. I kid you not, my husband came home and told me about his customer service debacle and it was WORSE than my previous one. And he even got the added bonus of sighing AND eye rolling. Needless to say he immediately put BACK the cupcakes he was just going to spontaneously buy, paid and left without so much of a "have a nice day" from the "stellar" staff. I should also mention that both times we went there they were not terribly busy. So the terrible attitudes probably weren't based off of there being like 50 people waiting. The second time back my husband was the only one in there. So in conclusion. We will not be going back. It's such a shame too. Because we REALLY liked your cakes. But liking your cakes isn't enough to want to come back or recommend your place when you're rude for no reason. It cost absolutely nothing to be nice. You should try it. read more
