I have liked the food. But the last time i was there the tamales had too much masa, they were large but very little filling. They use to have a lunch time special, but didn't see it and was not offered one. The owner was asking other customers what they wanted while he was waiting on me. Their tamales are the right ratio of masa, meat and sauce. Perfectly flavored. Beans are the bomb. The family deal with a dozen tamales of choice plus rice and beans $27 is a super good deal and you also get a coupon for a freebie upon next visit. The family deal is enough food for two entire meals for our family and we have big appetites. Really friendly folks. Our fingers are crossed these owners overcome the slow business that killed the last couple of restaurants that failed here. We will be going regularly. read more

If you know what a tamale should taste like just pass. If you want to think you know what one taste like eat here. Literally threw out tamales after 2 bites. I work in the food business and some of my regular customers just happened to walk in. They started talking to me asking about the place and I told them to save their money and go somewhere else. I went to the TF with a co-worker for lunch. I have spent a lot of time down in Northern Mexico, and have had plenty of homemade, authentic Tamale's made for me down there, and these are just as good. There service is fast, the employee's are nice. I recommend the Tamale Factory to everyone! Great place to eat, and cheap! read more

We tried six flavors, the Beef, Chicken, Pork, Jalapeno Cheese, Spinach, and Sweet Potato. The Beef and pork had just enough Kick, we differed on the Spinach but everyone liked the JC. Sweet Potato was almost like a dessert one but a nice way to finish the meal. If you're really into Tamale's no doubt it's worth checking out. read more

This is my 4th time eating delicious tamales at the Tamale Factory. The owner offered free tamales for my daughter and I to try even though I had been there previously. Very kind and friendly gentleman. The price was great for a full dinner of 2 big tamales, cilantro rice and pinto beans. It was too much for me to finish! There were 4 FREE tubs of salsa in the bag too. Take out only, unless it is summer, we sat at a table outside. Today at 3:00 there were 3 people ahead of us buying half dozens. I had never tried tamales before but it was on my bucket list so I decided to stop in. The gal behind the counter was friendly and helpful. She explained what was in them and how to eat them. Just visited this place after a rave review in the Oregonian. I wanted pork tamales but they only had 4. I requested those 4 and 4 chicken and 4 beef. They did not have green sauce for the pork tamales and told me they did not sell it. I asked for sauce and they reluctantly gave me a sample size (TINY). When I got home I opened the package and found there were 8 tamales instead of 12. I paid for 12. I sent an email requesting credit for the other 4. NO RESPONSE. The tamales were very small and mediocre. The review in the Oregonian was very overstated!! read more

Had ordered tamales when that was the only way to get my hands on their tasty tamlaes, but so excited that they have a store to stop in to buy them as well.
