We had a great dinner at Talking Cedar on Saturday. Service was great. The chop salad was fresh and tasty. Grilled cheese and tomato soup was a favorite in the group. The fried cheese curds were a hit. Blood orange vodkarita was a hit with my husband. I enjoyed an IPA. Kids had the cookie with ice cream and bread pudding. We asked them not to lick the plates. We will be back soon. Thanks TC staff! read more

It only takes 1 word to sum up RUDE!!!! Food might be good, I'll never know!! Rude hostess, rude manager and very unprofessional!! We will never go back!! read more

This is the 3rd time I've eaten here. First time was top notch, second time was okay, 3rd time was very disappointing. The service was a poop show, took 45 minutes to get our food, the food was over cooked, the steak was tough, green beans were way overcooked, one of the waiters dropped something and said ..ck very loudly. The whole thing was a comedy of errors. If it wasn't for being the only place to meet my family half way, I'd save my money for the DQ across the street. I'll drink my dinner next time, they were good. read more

Don't waste your money eating at this place. Food was terrible. We had a party of 7 and there wasn't one meal worth eating. I personally ordered an Amber beer, the beer I was brought was totally different. I I said to the waitress that is not an Amber and she said we're out of Amber so I just brought you something else! Wouldn't you go ask the customer if they wanted something else? Food was way over cooked. My chicken sandwich was fried so much the chicken was not present in the sandwich. Fish and chips old and rubbery. German schnitzel was over fried and no taste. Waitress had an attitude after beer incident and management didn't care the food was bad. My bill was $148. read more

We needed to get out of the resort we were staying in so we thought we'd give this a try. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The staff was friendly, food was good, beer was awesome, and it was a fun atmosphere. Our dinner was half the price as our previous meal at our resort and twice as good. read more

My friends and I have really enjoyed Talking Cedar. I feel they are doing a great job with the Covid restrictions. The food has been good and they are willing to tweek an item if possible. The schnitzel and bratwurst take me back to Germany. The staff is attentive. My one complaint is the brisket I had Friday. Ugh. Fatty, similar to a sponge but I didn't gag! The dog really likes it! The collard greens and mashed potatoes were cooked just as I like them, so that filled me up enough. All the other friends' food looked wonderful so just one item I won't order again! Nice setting and a welcome addition to this area. read more

This establishment was terrible took forever to get an order in and then when I get my burger there was a hair in it.. fun environment, ok service, bad quality food. sadly will come back cuz it's in my hometown read more

Called to place a to go order and was informed they don't do to go orders after 4pm? What what? You close at 8pm? Terrible first impression hopefully when we finally get the opportunity to actually try something it's not as bad as their customer service.... read more

Been in Washington for a week now and this was by far my favourite place to eat/drink. Prompt service, delicious brews, and amazing food. The waitresses are still roughly new, so they don't have everything down pat, but they are so kind and friendly. It was an amazing experience and atmosphere all around. I highly recommend you at least TASTE the lavender vodka, you'll thank me later. read more

Overall just sub par. Love the beer and the whiskey but service and food doesn't cut it. Don't recommend.

Overall not great experience. Our server Ty was unhelpful and dismissive over a complaint on my meal. Was helpful at the beginning with getting our drink orders in promptly, that's about it. My boyfriend ordered the juicy Lucy burger and I treated myself by ordering the steak, not something I ever order. This review is 2 stars due to how tasty the burger was. The steak was extremely bland and cold, cooked to medium rare as asked, but no flavor until I dumped salt on it. Couldn't taste the garlic butter. The string beans were cold, and the fries were stale in addition to being cold. The server never came back to our table, and when we got up to ask another server for him and explained the issue, saw him chatting away with a coworker. I work as a cocktail waitress and bartender and understand how the service industry is, maybe it was just a bad night? When he came back to the table after a coworker grabbed his attention he stopped by to check if I wanted new fries, and walked away right as my boyfriend was mentioning the steak wasn't very good either. No acknowledgment. He came back and removed the plates, my boyfriends was empty, mine barely touched. This review would be five stars if the server had offered literally anything else to me, or had offered to remove the meal. In the end I left with a side of fries only for dinner, the new ones were piping hot and very tasty. Probably won't be back unless we can have the kind waitress who we were able to flag down for help in the beginning. read more

Great food, great service ,great beer !especially appreciated the fact that they're open for indoor dining during these messed up times

The atmosphere is amazing and I love the outdoor seating area but I have tried this restaurant 3 different times the food wasn't very good. The 3 items I've tried was the hamburger, meatloaf, fish and chips and a few of the appetizers. I'll maybe try again in a few months but hopefully they get the kinks worked out in the kitchen. read more

I'm giving two stars based on the food alone. Service was great, and everything was clean, food came out pretty fast. I ordered the falafel. I went to break off a price to share with my daughter and I couldn't break it in half. It was so over cooked and dry I couldn't eat it. I wound up just eating my fries, also dry and over cooked. My kids got the mac and cheese and a plain hamburger with pears. Neither ate any of their food. It's a new place so you never know! I always say try the food for yourself, but for sure don't get the falafel. read more

So disappointed in our lunch today. I ordered the Tri Tip ($19), and it was chewy. Really chewy. The potato mash was tolerable, but I really don't know how they took the flavor OUT of the Collard Greens. The waitress did not want to be there, and it showed. The only enthusiasm came when she handed us the check. We won't return. read more

I would rate this a zero if I could. We sat down and ordered appetizers and drinks and were cut off immediately with no explanation or apologies. Not coming back. Not happy. Even in times of COVID or especially so, people should not be so judge mental especially when I ordered water the entire time. read more

The appetizer was super good it was a deep-fried cheese curds they were awesome I had a drink which was super good. then I had a pulled pork sandwich but the pork was not Pulled it was just a big chunk of pork with fat on a roll not impressed with that at all but definitely will go back and try again read more

We always order on line and pick up. Everyone has treated us with courtesy and respect. The food is decent but needs to be more diverse, such as, pan fried oysters, steamer clams, clam chowder (not from a can as everyone else around here does and lies, saying it's home made. Not!) All in all we like Talking Cedars. read more

What a great place!! Service and food were outstanding!! The atmosphere was fun and everyone who worked there was great!! Awesome place to eat with friends and family. Can't wait to go back again! read more

Place seems to be hit and miss first time in Fish was great cooked perfect today fish was not to good was not crisp in fact it was just ok . Service before was really good today it was so so . So many people coming in no MASK . read more

I'm being generous with the one star. The place needs a major cleaning, We had to ask for your our table to be wiped down twice and the booth cushions were sticky and greasy from previous customers. I ordered the Tri-tip meal and it was grossly over done it was difficult to cut. The mashed potatoes didn't have a grain salt or seasoning and were cold. Our server was nonexistent - once she took our order we didn't see her until we flagged her down for the check. We will not be going back. read more

The food was very good, the service was absolutely horrible. The employees inside the brewery didn't even try to be kind.

Went to this restaurant for dinner and patio was closed because it sprinkled. Mid summer in Pacific NW in the middle of a pademic and patio closed??? It wasn't raining...sprinkled for 5 mins maybe. Wish we knew this before waiting 30 mins driving to this restaurant! Ridiculous! read more

Visited today for a birthday dinner with my girlfriend. The service was great!!! The giant pretzel was delicious. The pulled pork, although not fully "pulled", was tender and full of flavor. The pork schnitzel was well seasoned, tender yet fried perfectly. The gravy was well done. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Took some brown sugar bourbon home... some of the best bourbon I've had! read more

They are working out the bugs still or it might be that it was a very busy Friday night. Young staff. Server was kind of rude and was much better when the food came. Due to Covid standards our family of 7 could not sit together which we were not happy with. But other families could...Hubby ordered a burger, plain and simple, it was overcooked and a little dry. I ordered a salad (cannot mess a dressing or salad too much) mine was fine. Daughter ordered a small Caesar salad with her burger. The dressing was bland and did not taste like Caesar dressing at all. The food overall was a 3, better service might have brought it up to a 4. read more

Had the best experience tonight! Amazing food, drinks and great service! Will be back for sure!

Incredibly fresh and delicious food, great beer, comfortable, spacious environment and friendly service. I had a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and a pint of pale ale and would order the same meal again in a heartbeat. Exceeded expectations on all fronts. I visited on just their 4th day open and if they continue to operate at this level they will surely be a hit. Will be my go-to stop when traveling between Portland and Seattle. read more

I was excited today to come in with some friends that came from Lacey to eat here. We walked in at 7:30 & I asked for a table of 6. There were two or three hostesses & one of them let me know that they can't take anymore large parties because they already had three or four parties for the rest of the evening. I understood so I asked if she can separate us into two tables of three. She said that the wait would be 45mins for us regardless & I told her ok hold on let me check if my friend already made a reservation since she stated they had 3-4 large parties already set for the evening. As we waited on the side near the hostess table for my friend people kept waking in & getting seated. But they were a party of two's, so didn't really think anything of it. However then a table of 5 walks in, the customer says yes we need a table of 5. Well I am paying attention at this point since we are 6 people & the hostess looks straight at me. She knows I am listening so she walks over to another employee & tells her something & I am too far to hear, but she is starting right at me. Then she walks over to the menus & starts fidgeting with them. She tells the customer "oh you're Heather, you called in an hour ago right?" The customer looked super confused & didn't know what to say, & the hostess is trying to get her to agree because she knows I am paying attention & continues saying "yea you are the table of 5 right?" & the customer just agrees. She gets her menus & sits them down. This is all happening as my friend who had called twice before coming into the restaurant about having a table of 6 is talking to another hostess, but she tells her they don't take reservations & it's first come first serve. So if you don't take reservations, why was a party of 5 sat down because they supposedly called ahead of time? & usually if parties are waiting to be seated they ask for the name & have a list. This family wasn't on a list as they came in saying we need a table for 5 people. Also if you are going to try & be slick about not wanting to sit us down, be better at it. Now if you don't want to seat us because we are not white, just say that because I can't see any other reason. Which is kinda ironic being that this restaurant is owned by the tribe. This place just left a bad taste in my mouth & from girls who don't know how to be professional regardless of there opinions of people. I felt no need to call anyone out especially because this place isn't worth it. read more

If you are staying at Great Wolf, skip Talking Cedar restaurant and find someplace local that will appreciate your business and show you basic courtesy. I understand that all restaurants are struggling to find employees, but the customers shouldn't be completely ignored because of it. When we arrived, first we were told that we couldn't sit outside, even though several other people were, and there were lots of open tables. We figured it was because of a lack of servers outside. Okay, understood. Once we were seated and handed menus, we waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes and NO ONE came to bring water, or even say, "Hi folks, I'll be back as soon as I can!" Several servers passed our table without a word. We finally left, disgusted with the lack of service. It doesn't have to be a negative experience for customers: if you don't have enough servers, don't seat customers and give a wait time like other restaurants!!! Then, people can choose if they want to wait forever for service. read more
