Worst division of my life. I came here for battery issues and now it has cost me my phone and I had to buy a new phone. I honestly feel bad about it, they have fixed my screen before good as new without any issue but now they replaced my iPhone battery with their own battery and my phone shut off!!!!! Horrible experience -- they likely ruined my iPhone's motherboard during a simple back glass repair. I brought my iPhone 14 Pro Max (256GB) to Talk N' Fix at the Great Mall in Milpitas on July 2, 2025 for a back glass replacement. I paid $130 and thought everything was fine. Then, on July 11, my phone started shutting off every 1-2 minutes and dropping calls -- something it never did before. I brought it back, and the man who originally worked on my phone said he was "too busy" and sent me to another tech. That tech said he would diagnose it, but all he did was force restart the phone and tell me to leave. When I mentioned the issue started after the repair, he got defensive, told me "don't say that," and blamed me for supposedly damaging the phone again. I later returned to speak with the boss, who told me to come back in 3 days. When I did, the same technician opened the phone and replaced the battery. He said if it was a motherboard issue, they'd have to send it out and charge me extra -- which made me uncomfortable since they were already denying fault. After replacing the battery, he tried to charge me $29, saying the battery was the problem. I refused to pay since the phone worked fine before they touched it. He eventually let it go -- but then asked me to leave four 5-star reviews just because I had family with me. I declined. The phone worked for 12 hours, then the issue came back -- shutting off every 2 minutes again. I texted them for help, and they ignored me. I took the phone to uBreakiFix in Santa Clara, where a real tech diagnosed motherboard damage -- a common issue from poor laser back glass repairs. They tried a new battery and charging port, but the phone still kept shutting off. The verdict: Talk N' Fix likely damaged my motherboard, and now I have to buy a new phone. Final Thought: This place refused responsibility, gaslit me, and probably ruined a $1,200 phone. Avoid them -- don't let them touch your device. read more

I came back in 20 minutes and my phone was already done, which I found suspicious. I then took my phone to Apple, Best Buy, and other phone repair shops to get their opinions. They had told me my phone has never been opened and my charging port was not replaced, and that it was just cleaned. I then attempted to get my money back or some sort of solution. Came in to get my iphone 13 pro camera replaced, and I was a bit skeptical at first. My camera was cracked and my wide lens was not working. Ali just took a quick look at my camera and said $30 and asked me to come back in 30 minutes. Not very welcoming at first, then I had to tell him about my lens issue and that the whole camera needed to be replaced. He said he needed to put in an order for the new camera and charged me $130, better price than the actual Apple Store. I came in a couple days later when they got the lens, and a different guy replaced my whole camera, and got my lens to work again with no cracks. Beware, possible scam artist! I was helping my dad replace a simple screen protector and had suggested to buy one at Talk N Fix. When he came home he had told me the screen protector looks great but noticed that his face recognition didn't work. So after further investigation, I noticed that the screen protector was set and placed over the front camera causing enough blur for the face recognition not to work. We went back to Talk N' Fix to plead our situation and asked if they can replace the screen protector as it was incorrectly installed. The person working at the time immediately said it wasn't his fault but would correct the issue at a cost of $5. I replied back by asking him why should we pay extra if they originally installed their product incorrectly? He told me that's all he can do and was rude about it. After having my slightly damaged iPhone 12 Pro screen replaced, my phone battery began draining at an alarming rate, nearly four times faster than usual. While I understand that third-party parts may not match the quality of genuine ones, I did not anticipate such a drastic decline in phone battery performance. Upon returning to address the issue, I was met with defensive and dismissive behavior from the staff. Despite presenting clear evidence of the problem, they refused to acknowledge it and instead deferred me to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, my interaction with the manager proved to be even more alarming. From the onset, they displayed a disrespectful attitude and immediately attempted to shift blame onto the phone's battery. I requested to restore my original phone screen as the phone is useless if needs to be charged 4 times a day. Duy is your man if you ever need your phone fixed! I had my back glass replaced with Talk n Fix but due to the millions of shards from the crack, there were some issues and my phone started rebooting constantly. It took him a few days and quite a bit of testing but finally, Duy managed to diagnose the problem. They fixed it with no additional charge to my back glass replacement despite the amount of labor that went into it. I'm grateful to have my phone back and the patience Duy had to fix my phone. Update: we got the battery replaced around 6pm. It was 50% charged. In around 5 hours it went down to 2%. And they said it's a "new Samsung battery". I really doubt if those good reviews are from real customers. Again, if I could give negative stars I would definitely give them negative 5 stars!!!!!! We came here for Samsung battery replacement. Before we turned in the phone, it was intact without any damage. We've been waiting here for an hour. But when we came back to get the phone, the screen got busted, like a car that got scratched. And they admitted yes it's their fault but there is no way they can fix it. They can only offer us screen protector, yet still expected us to pay for the shitty service. There is no way we would pay for this shitty service. Screen is way much more expensive than a battery. We have lost way much more even if we didn't pay for the battery. I can't understand their business service - busting customers' phones and asking them to pay?? I've been to three or four other fixing shops and it never happened like this before. The guy at the Talknfix desk next to Victoria secret in great American mall replaced my apparently faulty Iphone earpiece with one year warranty. So after one month when the same part doesn't work the guy asks for 20 bucks more to open and replace the faulty part with another new part. When I ask how I would know if the part you are giving is original or not, guy says it's original because he says so!!! So now when we ask to take home the so-called faulty part that he replaced, guy says no he won't give the replaced part!!! I am 100% sure that original Iphone earpiece part he replaced was working properly which was replaced by his own parts collection which may have been stolen from iphones from other customers. The person in charge who also fixed my phone said $35 dollars 30 minutes. Sounds great so I let him fix my phone.
