I brought in my aging Apple Watch Series 5, which was barely holding a 4-hour charge. I knew it was a bit of a gamble, but given their extremely reasonable quote, I decided it was a risk worth taking to try a battery replacement. Why they stand out: Constant Communication: Martina and her tech kept me in the loop every step of the way, specifically regarding the availability of the parts. Technical Honesty: After getting under the hood, they realized the issue wasn't just the battery, but an internal circuit problem. Instead of performing a "fix" they knew wouldn't last, they called me to explain why it wasn't worth pursuing further. Unmatched Ethics: Despite the time and labor they spent diagnosing my watch, they insisted on no charge because the repair wasn't successful. In an era where many shops charge "diagnostic fees" just to look at a device, finding a business with this level of ethics is incredibly rare. I felt bad that they invested their time for free, but they stood by their word. I'll definitely be bringing all my future business to their Milpitas or Cupertino locations. Do yourself a favor and trust Martina with your tech--they are the real deal!

I brought my iPhone 14 Pro Max (256GB) to Talk N' Fix at the Great Mall in Milpitas on July 2, 2025 for a back glass replacement. I paid $130 and thought everything was fine. Then, on July 11, my phone started shutting off every 1-2 minutes and dropping calls -- something it never did before. I brought it back, and the man who originally worked on my phone said he was "too busy" and sent me to another tech. That tech said he would diagnose it, but all he did was force restart the phone and tell me to leave. When I mentioned the issue started after the repair, he got defensive, told me "don't say that," and blamed me for supposedly damaging the phone again. I later returned to speak with the boss, who told me to come back in 3 days. When I did, the same technician opened the phone and replaced the battery. He said if it was a motherboard issue, they'd have to send it out and charge me extra -- which made me uncomfortable since they were already denying fault. After replacing the battery, he tried to charge me $29, saying the battery was the problem. I refused to pay since the phone worked fine before they touched it. He eventually let it go -- but then asked me to leave four 5-star reviews just because I had family with me. I declined. The phone worked for 12 hours, then the issue came back -- shutting off every 2 minutes again. I texted them for help, and they ignored me. I took the phone to uBreakiFix in Santa Clara, where a real tech diagnosed motherboard damage -- a common issue from poor laser back glass repairs. They tried a new battery and charging port, but the phone still kept shutting off. The verdict: Talk N' Fix likely damaged my motherboard, and now I have to buy a new phone. Final Thought: This place refused responsibility, gaslit me, and probably ruined a $1,200 phone. Avoid them -- don't let them touch your device.
