It was a remarkably pleasant experience and one of the best colonic treatments I have received -- and I have received many. The trainee therapist Paul was perfect in his technique. His calm manner would put any new client at ease and he used the equipment perfectly. Sue checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was OK, but her visits were really unnecessary. No one should be embarrassed by the procedure, there is almost total privacy. Clients wear special shorts for the treatment; these shorts have an opening secured by velcro which provide discreet access for inserting the speculum. If there is anything to complain about, it would be the small rooms at the Fir Street location (barely enough space for the bed and the equipment) and the lack of a proper waiting room. I recommend IGH highly, both for first-timers and for more experienced people like myself.

The shower room has all the amenities - makeup remover, spray, mouthwash, feminine napkins, hair dryer, bath robes, towels, lockers, slippers - basically everything you need (except for a comb). You can literally spend the whole afternoon relaxing here. My masseuse Emiliana is the best so far. Her technique of kneading at the correct points makes the massage so relaxing. Her long gliding strokes were gradual, smooth and gentle. After my massage, we sat in the quiet lounge area for complimentary snacks and drinks.
