The space itself is fairly small. As you walk in, there is a station for foot massages on the right, and a couple small private rooms toward the back. We were shown to one of those private rooms for our session. My husband and I both enjoy deep tissue massages with strong pressure, and this place delivered. The massage was excellent. In fact, it was one of the best we've had. The pressure was exactly what we were looking for (we like "it hurts so good" pressure), and the price was incredibly reasonable. It was a remarkably pleasant experience and one of the best colonic treatments I have received -- and I have received many. The trainee therapist Paul was perfect in his technique. His calm manner would put any new client at ease and he used the equipment perfectly. Sue checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was OK, but her visits were really unnecessary. No one should be embarrassed by the procedure, there is almost total privacy. Clients wear special shorts for the treatment; these shorts have an opening secured by velcro which provide discreet access for inserting the speculum. If there is anything to complain about, it would be the small rooms at the Fir Street location (barely enough space for the bed and the equipment) and the lack of a proper waiting room. I recommend IGH highly, both for first-timers and for more experienced people like myself.

You can literally spend the whole afternoon relaxing here. My masseuse Emiliana is the best so far. Her technique of kneading at the correct points makes the massage so relaxing. Her long gliding strokes were gradual, smooth and gentle. After my massage, we sat in the quiet lounge area for complimentary snacks and drinks. Unlike most other places of this type, you'll never need to be concerned about being prodded with upselling while you've...well, literally already been prodded! This office in the Hycroft Medical Building is just as convenient as their old location, although I wish there was a washroom inside. There's one right around the corner though, as there is on every floor in the building. This is probably the best value for colon cleansing in Vancouver. In addition, they often have promotions via Groupon for new customers. I recommend this service for anyone with gastrointestinal issues or anyone who'd just like to be extra clean afterwards.
