Super stylish, spotless clean, comfortable. today was my first experience for an infra-red sauna, I was given a tour of the studio, then walked to my sauna where I asked if I needed to do anything for the temperature. which I was told no, it was all controlled and I would see flashing lights when my time was up. Well 30 mins into the session, I was not warm at all, questionned it but didn't think anything of it, but finally put the robe on, went downstairs and asked if it was normal for me not to be warm, the employee said she would check and told me it was weird, the controller was cooling down the room. By that time I have 25 mins left and said I would. When I went down to the front desk afterwards, one of the employees said : well it happens, so that's why we compted your next session??? what!!! I have no words. Can someone from customer service please connect with me so we can figure this out? This was a very poor first experience. read more

This place is a haven for rest and relaxation. Christian, the spa owner puts you at ease right away and sets the tone for your experience. The float was fantastic and I lived the time in the sauna. I've upgraded my rating to three stars. I didn't get a chance to try out all the amenities so cannot say anything about them. I loved my massage. I was uncomfortable being asked to tip. I sincerely hope that the massage staff are paid a wage/percentage of the money charged that is within industry standards for massage therapist. I see RMT's and physio's, chiro's etc and none of them ask for a tip. I have since found an RMT I really enjoy working with. Thank you for being in the community. I've always had a wish to float in Dead Sea. To watch the sun rising or setting and just be. Well, I didn't get to visit Jordan yet, however at Hälsa Spa, my wish for floating became true. As it was my first time to float in a cosmic pod, I was recommended Genesis One which was big enough to move and small enough to reach the squishy buttons that took care of light (a shade of blue) and soft eerie music (on/off). The room where the pod was landing had purple lights and while I showered, before boarding the pod, I sang Purple Rain, in a soft nostalgic tone. As my session initiated, I drank some water, squished the ear plugs gently into each ear, took some deep inhales and exhales and felt fully ready. As I crawled into the pod, the water temperature was soothing and tender to the touch of the bare skin. And I had a "Aha!" moment. Then, I gently lay in the bosom of the pod and as I marinated in this briny, the water carried my weight with ease aka my physical body floated. For few minutes, I let my existence to regulate itself with this new experience before I closed the mouth of the pod and turned off lights and music. In darkness and silence, one can find many things including oneself. These words tinkled my mind. As I relaxed more into the experience listening to the sound of my own breath. I was drifted across the universe, my own universe :) where words and stories were slipping through. In such deep silence and solitude I was convinced of my own existence yet again. Perhaps as a baby, this is how I felt in my mother's womb. The water temperature remained at comforting levels. The experience kept consoling me further keeping all the unspoken promises. Towards the end I switched on the blue light and imagined myself to be swallowed by a giant Blue Whale while I was conquering the Sea and now I float happily in the Whales bosom. And every time it opens the mouth, I get a glimpse of the purple ocean. By the end of my session I felt so happy, comical, relaxed, and feelings of woozy enveloped me. The dressing area which was furnished with all the necessities, is where I grounded myself to Mother Earth, drank plenty of water (I brought my own water flask with lemons floating in it) and squished the botanical lotion provided by HÄLSA to pamper my skin. At the end of it all, I sat in the lounge area drinking soothing hot Yogi tea (complimentary) in a glass cup and watched the pigeons and their shenanigans from the glass wall /ceiling. The lounge area has few books and I felt so happy to find Manly P Hall book with other books. The staff is friendly and the spa is immaculate. My experience was beyond wonderful and I can't wait to explore the other pod (bigger one) sometime soon. I would highly recommend HÄLSA float service to explore your own universe :) read more

I went for a float for the first time and while the bath was OK I was uncomfortable with the whole process during covid. The site states covid precautions but the reality was very different. No masks on staff, no barriers at reception, no request to even wash hands despite asking patrons to use high touch surfaces like common ipad, a shoe cupboard that had to be opened and closed by hand and wasnt cleaned between each person (as other people came in while i was thefe too). Also the tour was done with someone opening and closing doors while in close proximity to me and no mask. Add the lounge with commons tea and water areas still and a ton of books and things for many people. It was a completely different experience than my pedicure later that day...when the float should have been the one that was easier to socialy distance. Very dissapointed with the response from the front desk/owner that dismissed my discomfort at them not wearing masks or having a barrier at the desk by simply saying they didnt consider it a high traffic area. The desk doesnt ensure 2m either. He made no attempt to suggest they would alter anything and i saw no sign of increased cleaning with only a few hand sanitizers hidden in corners. Dissapointed with experience and high level of exposure indoors thats not necesary but staff/owner seem unwilling to modify. So be forwarned....maybe great at other times but not during covid. Was dissapointed as this was my birthday and didnt feel comfortable which defeated the purpose of the float. Lack of understanding or response from staff/owner also sealed my disspoibtment with the whole thing. read more

I feel like a billion dollars after my very first float. Halsa has probably spoiled me for all other locations! The space is so quiet, incredibly sparkling clean and minimally beautiful, including the lounge for mellow post-float tea-drinking and leafing through gorgeous books while zoning out. The folks working there are sweet and ready to answer any possible question. I felt really comfortable and taken care of, in the best non-obtrusive manner. In terms of the float, I picked the larger ocean option and it was incredible-a little like 2001: A Space Odyssey inside. 60 minutes goes quite quickly, but the real effects have been in the following hours. I have been floating for over 5 years and all across the U.S. HÄLSA is by FAR the best float spa I've ever been to. My excellent experience went beyond the gentle and thoughtful staff or the clean interior design. I did a 90 minute float, then had a 90 minute massage by Samara, and finally sat in the meditation room a good 20-30. Stand alone each experience was lovely and all together it was something beyond words (heart opening and gentle yet powerful to use a few words). The pinnacle of my HÄLSA visit was with Samara whose skilled and intuitive hands helped me open my heart in a way that I haven't had the pleasure to experience in quite some time. My experience at Halsa was amazing! The pre-massage float in the capsule was the perfect way to prep my mind and body for the excellent massage with Michael. I have experienced float rooms and tanks but I found the capsule was the best of both worlds. Bit late posting this, but I got a surprise massage here as a birthday gift from my boyfriend and it was so nice. The workers were really accommodating because I had to reschedule quite last minute on the day of, but they called back with alternate times. I went there in the evening and the workers were really kind. I went upstairs and just as I got there (they offer you water to drink and it's a nice little lounge area with magazines and couches upstairs), my masseuse came by and got me. We went into the massage room and she gave me a really nice massage. I was really stressed because of work/school and when I left the spa, I felt so much better and way less stressed. me and my partner did an early valentine's massage and infra-red sauna. the massages were both really great, very nice atmosphere and very sensitive staff. the sauna was roomy and private and did the infra-red magic that is so hard to define but unmistakably relaxing and healing. the water provided is an elixir to drink for hydration, very tasty and refreshing. after the sauna we had a great shower with complimentary salt scrub and lots of time to unwind in the beautiful lounge. read more

Went here for the first time today for a sauna. I was really impressed by the customer service, very helpful, friendly and had a calming effect on me. Set me up for my great experience here. The facility is very clean and modern. The sauna was a private room with a private shower. It had all the amenities I needed. The nice touch was the litre of water + electrolytes that they provide you to take with you in. Price point is ok, but because of the service and amenities I will definitely be back! read more

First time floater and I found the facilities and amenities to be beautiful. I'd booked a 90 minute float, 60 minutes would have been plenty, and then a massage. Not sure what to do after the float, I went upstairs to the lounge and tea room. I'm naked under a robe and there's a guy there in street clothes chatting to a woman that I assumed worked there. Awkward. Neither made an attempt to make me feel welcome, so I sat and waited pretending to be immersed in a book on crystals. Same woman approached me several minutes later to let me know she was my masseur. She gave an Ok massage, nothing special, and then she chastised me for leaving my clothes in the float room. There were no instructions, how was I supposed to know? Should I have carried them around with me? Anyway, I left feeling somewhat miserable about the whole cold experience. read more

This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I had never experienced floating before and was a little bit apprehensive about the experience. I chose Halsa due to the fact that they had float "rooms" in addition to the pods I've seen at other places. I thought that I would enjoy that experience more. Little did I know that was only a very minor part of what made my day at Halsa so incredible. I was met at the front door by Christian. He was very warm and welcoming and gave me a tour of the entire facility. And what a facility it is. Absolutely immaculate, very inviting and comfortable. There is a "lounge" filled with interesting books and a lot of natural light, and several float rooms, massage rooms and saunas. There are also ample washrooms and places for you to use hairdryers and mirrors after your service. I settled in to the lounge and was looking through an astrology book when Christian came to take me to the float room. As we were discussing astrology,and I was stating how I was a bit overwhelmed by the book, he offered to map out my astrological profile - and when I mentioned how I was trying to figure out a family member - he offered to do that, too. AMAZING. Anyway, I was led to the float room, where Christian explained the entire float process in great detail. You basically shower, then enter the float room while soft music plays. After 15 minutes, the music stops. You are in control of the lighting from inside the room. Christian explained that the true experience is to float with no music or lights but that it was up tp me. I chose to go for it and it was amazing. They provide ear plugs and a neck rest to make you more comfortable. I floated for 90 minutes and was AMAZING to just let go of the outside world and be in complete silence and darkness. When the float ends, you shower again - they provide soap, shampoo and conditioner that they create on-site. I was having a massage next, so I went back to the lounge to wait. My massage was performed by Eva and I'm not lying or exaggerating when I say that this woman has the hands of an angel! It was the best massage I've ever had. Not only that, Eva's personality was so kind and gentle. She sat with me for several moments and asked questions about what I wanted to get out of the massage, what was going on with my body currently, what essential oils I liked, etc. Just to show you how amazing she was - I currently have a bruise on my face - above my cheekbone, as the result of a medical procedure. She noticed it and asked if I was sore and if it would be painful to lay with my face down. And then she asked, with true concern, if I was ok. She wasn't prying AT ALL, but I could tell, in that moment, she was genuinely concerned with the fact that I had a bruise on my face, and wanted to make sure I was safe. That meant a lot to me. The only disappointing thing is that I'm not a local, and won't be able to experience Halsa more often. I do know for sure that whenever I'm back in Vancouver, I will be making an appointment here. read more

A friend gifted me a float alfter a long transatlantic flight, and it was an amazing experience! I'm not a person who likes to hang out in the bathtub - I get antsy and bored - so I was a little unsure if I'd like it. But it was so trippy - with the lights off and the water & air temps the same as your body temp, you just kind of disappear into a state of total relaxation. After the initial 15-minute quiet music period, there is NO sound, it's like you're floating in outer space. I couldn't believe an hour had gone by when the music started back up again. I felt so blissed out. For my part, I found the owner lovely and unobtrusive, he gave me a tour of the facility and explained everything very simply. Afterwards we had a great conversation about the experience. The facility itself is lovely, light, kind of Euro-modern. Everything was spotless. They products available - shampoo, conditioner, cream - were great. The upstairs lounge has tea, water and a collection of interesting books, the skyights made it light and airy even on a rainy day. It was a great place to relax for a few minutes and prepare to re-enter the world. No sense of hurry anywhere in this place! I also tried the massage chair - quite interesting, I could have sworn the pressure on my feet and neck was coming from a pair of human hands (And the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling were fun.) They have an infrared sauna which I'm not as tempted by (not a fan of sweating), but maybe I should try it if the float experience is any indication. As an antidote to jetlag, or any other source of undue stress, I highly recommend a float at Halsa. read more

The services offered I loved. Floating is always such an extreme joy to me and my partner, throwing in a sauna and massage also was great. The experience was fine but being in the presence of the owners i could feel tension or something in the air. I knew he was an owner because he introduced himself as co-owner but he was also "shmoozing" us while the other employee was rushing around cleaning up after us and making sure everything was in great condition(the whole spa is sparkling clean and beautiful). Though I know the effort was there from him I felt that it was a bit much. Im all for talking and sharing my experiences but I felt that the owner wasn't genuine and it felt forced for him, making me not want to fully share my experience with him at that time. My partner said he felt creeped out by his demeanor. I would hate for anyone to feel offended after all the obvious hard work that goes into it all but being truthful sometimes hurts. Though I will be back because i really like the float equipment I might be a bit more stand off-ish next time. read more
