I have had 5 Reiki sessions with Jose, and after every treatment, I walk away happier, lighter,…read moremore energetic and more clear. Jose is professional, kind, and caring; his treatment space is inviting and calm. The immediate effects of the treatments may last 2-7 days, but with his guidance, I have made drastic improvements in my life that positively impact who I am as a person and practitioner. Jose has amazing intuitive accuracy about what is going on in my body, emotional life, and sources of energy blockage (without me telling him)! UPDATE: 16 years after taking my Usui Reiki II (with someone else), I finally felt ready & open to take the Reiki Masters course. For 3 days, Jose took our class on an intense journey of deep personal growth, heartfelt education, and elevation of our innate skills. This development asks for some degree of openness to vulnerability; Jose couldn't have offered a more kind, safe, supportive, or non-judgemental presence & space to allow us to reach our full potential. It was a life-changing experience, and I highly recommend taking Holy Fire Reiki classes with Jose.

Seeking relief from the impacts of a stroke, I decided to try Lori's private Yoga Therapy sessions…read more I hadn't done yoga in years and I was nervous about trying again. Immediately, Lori's supportive and non-judgemental presence put me at ease and I knew I had made the right decision to start Yoga Therapy with Lori. Lori has helped me to believe in myself and move into a new relationship with yoga. In the private sessions, it has been a joy to go at my own pace and to learn new things about my breathing, posture and alignment. In the initial session, Lori drew upon her wealth of knowledge and experience to create a unique daily yoga practice that suited my schedule, my abilities and my needs. In follow appointments we work together to make sure that I am completing the routine in a safe, effective and fun way. Having 1:1 support holds me accountable to my practice and helps keep me motivated to continue. Yoga therapy has been life changing for me. Thanks to Lori's customized yoga routine, I now have the power to improve my health and well being. Through just 30 minutes of daily practice, most of the symptoms I've dealt with for decades have healed. Because of the individualized daily yoga practice, I no longer experience muscle pain, migraines or fatigue. Thank you Lori from my heart.

We love that she tailors her sessions specifically to us with specific themes and mantras each week. Her sessions were beneficial to us both physically and mentally. We are looking forward to starting back up with Lori postpartum :)

We're all quite familiar with many of the upsetting aspects of our planet, I prefer to leave them at the door while hoping to relax and restore my faculties. Swearing, phone use and reading mystical sayings from a laptop during a facilitation were things I have not experienced before from a teacher and I do not prefer them. Tiaga Prem barely moved himself as he dictated our movements, the dismissive 'and keep doing that for a bit,' before picking up his phone again There were times when music was being chosen and changed, I understand, perhaps even time checking, but I think we can all identify at this point what it looks like when someone is reading an email, an article, text message or fb post vs. quickly checking the time or swiping and changing a song. This inattention did not have me feeling safe to enter a vulnerable, meditative state during this class and I will not return. A person gets much better guidance from a free youtube video.

I then tried the kundalini class, which was different (in a good way) from the other kundalini classes that I've taken. There is a focus on breathing and the power of the breath that I hadn't experienced with my other classes. I just tried a Dharma class and it was intense in ways that I didn't expect from a Hatha class. The teachers are wonderful and it's a great way for me to get out of my head by being in class. There is chanting and for me, this is a different way for me to express myself and release. Thank you for a great experience!

The treatment itself was relaxing and hit all the troublesome areas, she does not treat as deep as some other RMT's I have been to but I still felt great after. She offered stretches to reduce strain and tension on my neck and shoulders. I had bought an Ethical Deal voucher and I was surprised that she didn't really try to bring me on as a client. So, over the winter I developed what I like to call "gammy hand", more commonly known as eczema. I was shocked when these little blisters started forming under the skin on my palm and it became dry and flaky. Feeling like somewhat of a freak I shuffled over to my local walk-in clinic. After a brief 10 minute glance-over the GP told me that this type of eczema was a "Vancouver thing" and that "loads of people get it" and wrote me a prescription for a steroid cream. "Rub this on it for 1 - 2 weeks and come back if it doesn't work". Hmpf. After 3 weeks of using it, it was mildly better, but certainly not gone. I felt a little disillusioned, especially after reading that prolonged use of steroid creams thins your skin! Yuck! Enter Harris Fisher TCMp, a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Klinik. I was skeptical, but millions of Chinese people with thousands of years of knowledge can't be wrong....right? Harris cares very genuinely about his patients and has a focus on treating the cause of a health issue, not just the symptoms. His bedside manner is exceptional and he is genuinely just a nice, down to earth guy. Harris sent me away with some pills to take, some herbs to be mixed with water and some instructions on foods to avoid for a 10 - 15 days period. Within 24 HOURS I saw a huge improvement in my hand. I was amazed! 4 days later it is well on the path to a full recovery. I have never thought to use Chinese medicine but now I am a believer! I would highly recommend Harris and his practice.
