Great doctor and great staff. Dr. Memon is one of the top sleep doctors in town. Highly recommended.

This has happened before, when I showed up for a scheduled mammogram, the imaging center had not received the referral from Ayala's office. I ended up having to go to the office myself to pick up the referral, which again meant more time off work. I have also never actually seen Dr. Joanna Ayala. Patients are routinely scheduled with different nurse practitioners, and the provider seems to change frequently. The only provider I really liked was Hannah, but she is no longer there. Overall, the repeated issues with communication and coordination have been frustrating and costly.

The office manager is extremely rude and completely non empathetic and I've had to wait over an hour for phone call appointments before. Their policies are unclear and often times when they tell you they will call you back it can take over a week to receive a call from front office staff. I waited on hold for 30 minutes after being told the doctor would pick up the phone for our appointment only to find out the doctor had called me 3 times during that time because he works from home and "the front office girls dont know that." (My phone didnt ring since i was on hold but i would have been ready to go if i was told to wait for the doctor to call me.) Extremely disappointed with how this office has gone downhill over the years. Read the negative reviews. They are accurate.

It can be…read moreextremely difficult to get ahold of anyone to make appointments, even after multiple calls and portal messages. My most recent visit was the final straw. Before the provider entered the room, two staff members were loudly discussing my labs, medications, and personal medical information to each other from a clear distance where I could hear one person near my door and the other further away. It made me extremely uncomfortable. When I brought it up to the nurse practitioner seeing me, it was brushed off instead of acknowledged or apologized for, which only made the situation worse. The appointment itself felt rushed, and my concerns were not really addressed. By that point, I was already feeling uncomfortable and dismissed. What disappointed me most was the response afterward. When I told the front desk I would not be rescheduling and would be switching doctors because I felt the situation was unprofessional, I was told, "I don't think so, but OK." That defensive response spoke volumes. Ironically, I had been asked to schedule a more vulnerable follow-up exam there, and after this experience, I could not imagine feeling comfortable returning knowing the same thing could happen again. Patients deserve professionalism, privacy, and to feel heard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

My doctor stopped my depression medication without speaking to me.When I went to refill, my pharmacy said it couldnt be filled because it had a STOP on it. Long story short, it was 4 days to get this corrected. I became very anxious and deeply depressed...crying and experiencing brain shudders, also in a moment of panic I cut off all my hair. It was probably a mistake somewhere down the line. I writing this to make aware that 4 days without depression medication can be serious....im lucky to have support , your thoughts can turn worse if its not corrected quickly. I complied and subsequently I called to ask for the results of a particular test. I was told that the lab had not been submitted to them. Over a period of two months, I called 3 additional times and was given the same info. I then found out that Rancho Family has a central answering system and that I could not talk to the doctor's office directly, but that they would expediate the request and I would get a response. That never happened. In April I had a follow up appointment to find out about the results. I found out from Dr. Sotis that he did not have the results of the test 3 1/2 months later. I asked why their office was not notified of my multiple requests, and why I could not talk directly with his office. His answer was " I will let you talk to my assistant, and he can give you an answer" I found it incomprehensible that he was unable to provide me with an answer and just walked out of the room. After about 10 minutes, I met the gentleman. He was apologetic as he provided me with a copy of the lab results. My first question of course was why he had a copy and the doctor did not have that information on his computer. My second question was why they had such a system where a patient has to talk to a third party, who then relays the info to their office. It is clearly not an efficient system. He did not have an answer for any of it. My third concern was that the Doctor did not have the courtesy to come in and apologize for their screw ups. He basically did not care, and that is why he just walked out and I never saw him again. One thing is for sure, I know that he will not hesitate to charge Medicare for his "professional services" of talking to me for 3 or 4 minutes at a usual and customary rate. I will surely contest it if he tries to charge me a copay. It was certainly NOT a medical appointment. Not very professional conduct

I hate to do a comparison of the quality of the sleep study facility but here goes. This is in no way reflects the quality of care I've received here. I had a sleep study conducted two years ago at another facility (I did not like the doctor). Their sleep room was a luxurious suite (unfortunately, I did not take photos!) with an en-suite bathroom complete with a shower. As you can see from the photos the room here at this facility is very utilitarian and austere in contrast to what I had experienced previously. I think I was shocked a bit. My technician Landon was kind & professional. He expertly placed the probes where needed so I had this bar of wires attached nearby as u went to bed. It was difficult to fall asleep because I usually am a night owl plus I like to have the TV on for the white noise. He couldn't find the remote so I thought I could do some reading but there's no table lamp or any lamp available for that matter only the overhead neon lights. Oh wonderful! So, I lay there in darkness trying to find a comfortable position to fall asleep with all the wires hooked up to me. Also, there is only one common rest room down the hall to use when needed. Ugh! Just great I have a nightgown on & no robe! I was hoping to not run into the 4 other patients there! (Thankfully, I didn't!). The circumstances were not conducive to great sleep. I was not comfortable or relaxed so I know I did not have a great quality of sleep. I woke up at 4:45 am, about 15 minutes before my wake up call. I answered the call of nature then Landon came to completely disconnect me followed by a couple of forms to fill out and I was discharged. The areas where the probes were placed on my head had this icky, sticky gel that was gross and tried to remove as much of it with tissue. It would've been nice to shower and get this goop off my head! I was just glad the ordeal was over!
