I now call him "Mr. Unfortunately we cannot do that." I was shopping and liked a red shirt, however, the smallest size on the rack was S. I'm an XS. Upon paying for the items I wanted, I noticed that the mannequin was wearing the last red XS. I asked the pleasant lady who was checking me out if I could take it and she said she would ask her manager-Noah. Noah said he could not give me the shirt on the mannequin because they are doing inventory. He said any other time it would be ok, but not today. (His story changed later on that inventory was not today, but before the weekend). So I said ok, can I leave my name and reserve the red shirt for when "inventory" is done? & he responded "Unfortunately, I cannot do that." That's when I got upset and had to say something... I asked if he could call a proper manager, but "unfortunately, they don't do that." I explained to him that I always come here and have items reserved, and it's totally fine, and the staff usually has it for me when I come back. We got into an argument with him eventually agreeing to get my name so he can call when I can pick up the shirt. I usually have no problem with this store, and it's usually so easy to reserve items, but Noah is either lazy, full of excuses, or just should not be an acting manager until he is trained with customer service. Normally I wouldn't come back upon experiencing this kind of service, but I like banana rep clothing and I live in the area!!! Such a bummer considering it was a slow weekday. Long story short, I left with 5 pairs of beautiful boots, adding a pair of knee-high blue velvet, a pair of green suede, and a pair of grey suede ankle boots to my haul. There was also a crazy sale going on (I think it was an extra 25% off all boots). I also had a few gift cards with a couple of dollars left on them. All told, I spent less than $200 on 5 pairs of fabulous boots. What's really crazy is the $324 that I saved... SAVED!! Unreal! That's what I call a score.

A couple of days later, on Ecco's own website, they were offering 40% off from the total, so I decided to buy 3 pairs from there because that was going to save me some extra. A week after my original in-store purchase I went back to the Clarksburg Ecco store to return those previously purchased 3 pairs. The sales rep there, an older gentlemen with long gray hair, was visibly displeased when he heard that I want to return the items. When I told him that I got a better deal off Ecco's website, he responded in a snobbish tone, and I quote "Next time you should check the website before you buy from here". I am sorry, I did not know that was the requirement of the store that I should do my shopping around BEFORE I come to buy from him. So, I grabbed my phone to get the email receipt of my online purchase, and he goes "You don't have to show me the proof", to which I responded, "No, you must see now". Of course he didn't. Now before any of the readers assume that I returned those shoes after wearing them for a week, let me clarify that I didn't even try them after purchase. Two of the three shoes still had the laces tied the way they were from the store. I know my shoe size and I know Ecco shoes fitment, so I never bother trying them on if I like them and buy them. I have been wearing Ecco shoes for almost 10 years now without any fitment issues. I was wondering why both of the days the store was nearly empty.
