I mean it was hundreds of name brand sneakers to choose from. I was with my oldest granddaughter and this was our second stop for new shoes. She couldn't find a style she liked at the first store. Well, we had a moment of silence, JK, before looking up and down the rows of sneakers. She tried on several pairs and fell in love with the Reebok's. Now, I have to say that $85 dollars is the going rate for a pair of nice sneakers for a teenager. So, I think it was a good value. This is a clean and well organized store. The service we received was mostly at the checkout counter and that went smoothly. I am really happy to see the big smile on my granddaughter's face as she left with the shoes she loved.

Side note: My lovely shoe size is usually the one on display & typically they only have one in that size so you're SOL if you don't get it right away. Don't think that people with small feet have it better cause we don't lol but we can get kids shoes = less $$$ but not always as comfortable depending on the shoe. But I digress lol. Anyhoo, I crossed the bridge into Maryland trying to find these Birks bc the website said this location had them. I found the one & only box in my size but some bunghole put the wrong size pair in it aka too big! Not really sure why you take a smaller size shoe and put it in a bigger size box, but whatever. I decided to look at some other options & found these coolass beauties called Lavender Sparkle. They're more of a gray, but they are genuine leather with a super soft suede lining & they are the most freaking divinely comfortable Birks ever! FYI ~ Not all Birks are leather - they offer vegan, eva, & recycled material options as well. I love the little bit of bling the sparkle brings to them & this was a trip well spent, literally. I also got a nice pair of New Balance tennies on sale too. Hey a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

It was James who kept in touch with me during the process, while BB tried to track it down and get it to me on time. I was planning on using it for a photo shoot. James was exceptional in his customer service every time him and I spoke. He really is a top notch guy and employee that represents Brooks very, very well. I look forward to doing business with him in the future. Long story short, the coat didn't make it on time and I had to make other arrangements; I was disappointed and frustrated to say the least. I understand it was an honest mistake, and the La Jolla store did what they could to keep me in the loop. Duane was incredible in restoring my faith with Brooks. I will be a lifelong customer. Whomever hired Duane is clearly doing something right. Also, Jeremy helped me find a dress shirt in a size I might never have thought of. I owe it to him and his thoughtfulness that I have my "go-to" for dress shirts now. Thank you James, Jeremy, and most of all to Duane! Very Respectfully, Robert Provins

Shoe Train is my favorite store to measure and fit shoes. I have been coming to Shoe Train with my own kids and now, my grandkids. My granddaughter grew two shoe sizes. We found a nice pair of shoes. The two people I dealt with the initial visit were not there. There seemed to be about 3 salespeople working and the one I worked with was extremely friendly. They have a great selection. In a full consultation, they will watch you walk/run on a treadmill, scan your foot, discuss their suggestions, possibly fit you for custom insoles, and bring you shoes to try on. They also have other types of running clothing, gadgets, and fuel as well. Some other reviews have noted that it can take a while to be seen-- this is true, so I try to plan my trip at a less busy hour if possible. I do think they should look into an appointment scheduling system to help combat this (hence why I took away one star from my review). Again, all of my interactions with the staff have been great. Some will try and upsell you more than others. I did go ahead and accept the VIP 19.99/yr membership, as I go through more than one pair of shoes in a year so I do find the benefits to be worth it for me personally. Beware though-- that is only the introductory rate. The next year the membership rate is double the cost.

She then tried several pairs of shoes in various sizes, and tried to sell me a pair that didn't fit. I bought a VIP membership, and ordered a pair she said SHOULD fit, but without my approval she arranged to deliver then directly to me. Nearly a week layer they arrived and I tried to break them in over three days, an hour at a time around the house. No dice-painfully narrow. I took them back, but they still didn't have my size and again tried to sell me shoes too long for my foot! I wound up ordering a wider pair, and now this redo will arrive two days after I leave for my walking vacation. I was denied a VIP discount for a shirt on my second visit... because I was returning the first purchase (even though I replaced it with the second order). I regret I can't recommend Road Runner at this time..

The Good Feet Store Experience in Bethesda Md…read more I have mixed feelings about my experience with The Good Feet Store. On the positive side, the insoles have made a tremendous difference. They have provided the comfort and support I truly needed, and I don't regret purchasing the product itself. Unfortunately, my experience with the sales process was extremely disappointing. Before purchasing, I specifically asked how the financing would affect my credit. The salesperson assured me that it would work similarly to Affirm and would not negatively impact my credit report. That information turned out to be false. I am currently in the process of purchasing a home, and this financing account has had a negative impact on my credit profile, potentially affecting my chances of securing my mortgage. Had I been given accurate information, I would have made a different decision. I encourage The Good Feet Store to ensure that employees provide honest and accurate information about financing options. Customers deserve transparency so they can make informed financial decisions. While I'm grateful for the relief the insoles have provided, I am deeply disappointed by the misleading information I received during the sales process.
