Great story behind on how he started. However this locating has been disappointing in my last visits. When you enter the store, there use to be a greeter or someone near the door welcoming you. Now you see an employee near the door, stuck on their cell phone. Not a good look! Just imaging if someone was a mystery shopper from UA or someone from the company visiting. This location is somewhat smaller to the ones located in the malls. I noticed that the selection for woman is a lot smaller. I love UA graphic tees but at this location was was very limited. Clothing is expensive and sales are very minimal. The Freedom shirts which are my favorite. Ran for 2 for $30, however you must buy 2 shirts to get the deal. If you buy one. You will have to pay the full price for a tee, ($25). My most recent visit, when I was in the womens section, a nice female employee greeted all the customers that entered and offered her assistance. Though I was looking at sport bras, she tried helping me find one in my size, and it was out of stock, she went to find out which nearby stores had it. The best time to come is during the week. The weekends are the worst time to come. Lines are long!

The team member didn't say her name (nor did I think to ask) on the phone call, but did inform me that the outlet store sells the masks, at the same 2/$40 promotions currently being offered at non-outlet stores. She also offered that the Anne Arundal Mall UA location also had the same inventory stock on the masks as the Clarksburg location and that due to supply and demand, the colors of masks (other than the charcoal and black ones with chrome logo) are not as available. It was a short, but comprehensive phone call, and I am grateful for the attention I received from the team member!

They placed their clearance items in the front of the store which is convenient before getting to the back of the store. The only reason why I didn't give this store a full 5 is the staffing issues they are dealing with. The teenagers are young but they haven't been fully trained to do their job before the store opened. It's ok though the manager is doing her best. One of the staff members mentioned they are doing interviews in the back so maybe in some months the store's customer service will be a littler better. I love the self scanning system too! I will definitely come back here!

At some point, the employees switched, and another woman came out and seemed to be saying that the cart had to be outside of the fitting room area, even though it already was. She also had a very thick accent, so I was having difficulty understanding what she was saying. Her tone was also very rude, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. Then, without really explaining anything, she grabbed my cart and pushed it into the aisle. At that point, I was completely confused about the fitting room process and how I was even supposed to try on the clothes. I ended up leaving the cart and going home. I get that they don't want people stealing but at this point it feels like they don't want you to buy anything. The whole experience was unnecessarily frustrating. There's plenty of other stores that don't treat their customers like thieves. The store itself is nice, but unfortunately, the staff made the experience extremely frustrating. I've missed having a convenient location for years since the old Rio location closed. The next closest stand-alone one is in Milestone in Germantown, which isn't wildly far away, but they sometimes seem to have supply issues for certain scents.* This new location in Downtown Crown is near Sephora, across from Coastal Flats and next to the old Zagg storefront (which moved over by UPS). There is a strip of 30 minute street parking available in front, or the garage around the bend from Ruth's Chris if you don't want to fight for space in the surface lot by the Harris Teeter haha I checked online to make sure the scents I was interested in would be in stock (assuming the corporate website was accurate) and headed in for the soap and sanitizer sale they had today. It is such a thoughtfully laid out location, and to say they had plentiful supplies of every type of item is an understatement! Everyone was friendly, and helpful, and when there wasn't any of the vanilla sanitizer out, they voluntarily checked their storage in front and back, and made sure to put more out by rearranging the display. This is the kind of location that will get me in the door more often than I should shop for some of these things, but it was such a joy compared to more stressful times I've had in mall locations, etc. [*Germantown tangent: I had been looking for travel sized Warm Vanilla Sugar all last fall/winter there and they never had it despite having tons of like 3 scents. To my surprise it was offered for store pick-up if I ordered ahead, so that's what I did. They actually never had it, and they game me a full size one for the price of travel instead. Technically a 'win' for me, but why did they never get any travel size of that for the entire season? Ended up going to Montgomery Mall for travel size still after, cause the big tube simply doesn't fit in some of my purses with a wallet and phone haha]

If something fits you and you want instant gratification of purchase, you must stay in a line where store associate chats every customer up to demonstrate family like environment while marinating you for an hour waiting. You should consider if you want to wait or better order online. If you decided to buy, then after 20-40 minutes of waiting you are pressured through attack on why you do not want to become a member. REI, I do not want to become a member of this environment exactly because you are not considered about people. Those people in the line behind me want to enjoy their Saturday and you do not care about it. This is all I need to know. It is exactly the environment that I avoid as plaque as it is inconsiderate, often rude, entitled, pushy, and fake. I do not appreciate when you ask me to shut up and let you finish your speech why I must become a member.
