*This review is for online pickup orders*…read more If you happen to not know, you can purchase Nordstrom department store items online for pick up at any Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack location. This is such a convenience! And you can also return Nordstrom department store items at a Nordstrom Rack location. However, this does not work the other way around; i.e. items purchased at Nordstrom Rack have to be picked up, and returned, at a Nordstrom rack location. So as of now-this is my go to store location for Nordstrom online purchase pickups! Parking is plentiful, but the lot stays packed with moderate to heavy traffic flow. Walking into the store, there is a huge sign on the back right wall that states "Men's fitting room/Alterations/Online Pick up". I also noticed stickers on the floor pointing in the same direction. However, since I wasn't at all familiar with this location, I walked passed a very small empty counter space and headed towards the wall sign, where another customer and I stood at the entrance of the men's fitting room for 10 mins. There was no one there and no one at the counter. It wasn't until the other customer walked away, and then finally flagged me down to join the line that was now forming at the small empty counter, that I knew where to pick up my orders. Point: it is not an obvious pick up counter, especially if no one is standing there. Also, I had two orders to pick up, but only one was confirmed ready for pickup, so I asked the customer service person about checking on the other order to see if it was also ready. They kindly stated that they would check, but wanted to take care of the other customers first (with confirmed ready for pickup orders). I complied, and started to browse the shoe department for about 20 mins. btw- the women's shoe dept didn't have a lot of options-perhaps already picked over from the holiday season. Finally, I found the same customer service person later on sorting through 'put back' items (from the dressing room, and returns from the registers), and asked again about my order, and they immediately said that nothing else was found for me, and my order may not have come in yet. I showed them my email that stated that my order was supposed to be ready for pick up today, and at the current time, it was four hours until store closing time. The customer service person then said that they will check again in the back. And To my surprise, they found my order, and they found another order that was supposed to be ready for a tomorrow pick up. So that was a very pleasant surprise. For the size and traffic through this store location, it is overall clean and neat. But the selection is overall lacking compared to other locations. However, it's a busy area, so great finds likely go fast. Highly recommend this location; just look for the small counter by the men's fitting room-and even press the service button (if it works) if there is no customer service person seen.

I mean it was hundreds of name brand sneakers to choose from. I was with my oldest granddaughter and this was our second stop for new shoes. She couldn't find a style she liked at the first store. Well, we had a moment of silence, JK, before looking up and down the rows of sneakers. She tried on several pairs and fell in love with the Reebok's. Now, I have to say that $85 dollars is the going rate for a pair of nice sneakers for a teenager. So, I think it was a good value. This is a clean and well organized store. The service we received was mostly at the checkout counter and that went smoothly. I am really happy to see the big smile on my granddaughter's face as she left with the shoes she loved.

Side note: My lovely shoe size is usually the one on display & typically they only have one in that size so you're SOL if you don't get it right away. Don't think that people with small feet have it better cause we don't lol but we can get kids shoes = less $$$ but not always as comfortable depending on the shoe. But I digress lol. Anyhoo, I crossed the bridge into Maryland trying to find these Birks bc the website said this location had them. I found the one & only box in my size but some bunghole put the wrong size pair in it aka too big! Not really sure why you take a smaller size shoe and put it in a bigger size box, but whatever. I decided to look at some other options & found these coolass beauties called Lavender Sparkle. They're more of a gray, but they are genuine leather with a super soft suede lining & they are the most freaking divinely comfortable Birks ever! FYI ~ Not all Birks are leather - they offer vegan, eva, & recycled material options as well. I love the little bit of bling the sparkle brings to them & this was a trip well spent, literally. I also got a nice pair of New Balance tennies on sale too. Hey a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

I visited the store with intention to get help finding a suitable work shoes for my problem (flat foot, planter fasciitis, and small bunions) feet. Grayling warmly greeted me immediately as I entered. I informed him the purpose of my visit. First he measured my foot on a speciality digital foot machine. Then helped with picking out several pairs of shoes to try on. My options are limited due to restrictions we are allowed to wear with our company uniform. The ones he selected was perfect for comfort and meets company standards; however we both agreed they were basic but not stylish. Grayling was so patient and helpful during the lengthy time I was there trying to find something. He's super knowledgeable about feet and gave me a few helpful pointers to get the maximum comfort from my shoes. Wonderful first time experience and won't be the last. I was disappointed that I just didn't find anything that day cause I really wanted to purchase something from him. Highly recommend this location! Note - Grayling suggested checking out the Rockville location as they have more selections and stylish options due to the location. It was a totally opposite customer service experience. Didn't get her name but I believe she maybe the owner. Tall brown skin full figure mature women that was so RUDE. She refused to help me in selecting shoes or trying anything on. Only told me (in the most rude manner) " I can come back in two days cause they just got shipment but she's not putting it out, her husband will do it". With that kind of attitude she certainly WILL NOT get my business. I'll leave a review on her actual location to warn about going there.

I had my receipt and tried to return them. My receipt does not state that there is a 30 day refund time frame. The back is completely blank. I went into the store to try to return them and was I told I couldn't because it was after 30 days. I asked where the 30 day time frame came from and the "sales associate" pointed to the black pad where you sign for your credit receipts. However, my receipt didn't have that information on it so I asked again and she said that a manager I'd have to come back and ask for a manager to see if I could get a return. I asked to see a manager and she said that the manager wouldn't be in until Monday. Monday? It's Saturday. She then lied and said the 30 day information was in the shoe box. I gave her to box to look, as I hadn't opened the box since it was purchased, and of course there was no information about it in the box. By then I was hot because I was not provided with the 30 day information with my receipt. I would have understood had I had that information. She then said I'd have to call customer service and gave me the number. I told her to call customer service and, then, lie 2, she said that customer service wasn't open on Saturday. That was lie because when I left the store (after I was angry and she threatened to call to police. Who does that for an upset customer in these times? People are killed by police for far less) I called the customer service number and customer service picked up and said they would reach out to the store to see if I could get my refund. The lady from national customer service called me back later on and told me the store was going to refuse my refund because it's outside of the 30 days (it's October 10th). National customer service seems to be willing to help me out since they acknowledge that not having the return information on the receipt is a problem. I say all this to say 1, realize your receipt does not give a return by date on it so go at your own risk. 2. Customers aren't always right and yes, I was pissed, but each store must realize where the customer is coming from when they are told they can't get a refund when they have no documentation that says that. Every retail store, especially this one in a shopping center that keeps losing major tenants, need to remember that many brick and mortar stores are dying. If you're in a seemingly dying industry, each store should work to keep customers coming back. Who knows how long this particular store will last in this environment when you can order online from Amazon/Zappos and have no problem with returns. I won't buy from Red Wing shoes at all anymore and will encourage everyone else I know who is in need of work shoes to buy from Amazon/Zappos.
