Mini pizza with feta, Kalamata olives and mushrooms
Mel G.

I have an allergy and they were very careful to ensure the kitchen did not cut the ingredients of my pizza with my allergens. Service was fast and friendly. Pizzas were tasty. Iced tea was really freshly brewed.

Had a lovely lunch after a busy morning of hiking. Service was great, our waitress was very attentive & the outdoor seating was a welcome surprise. Our food was delicious. The sweet potato fries were the star of the show!

Really enjoyed coming here for dinner when I was staying at an Airbnb near the Cougar Hot Springs. The staff were very friendly with lots of charming Christmas decor! I also really enjoyed my food which was a BLT on focaccia bread. There was a variety of side options but opted for tator tots. Definitely recommend eating here and checking out the gift shop!

Prime Rib Daily Special

Very much a local gem loved by many! During my visit to Oregon, this spot was probably my most memorable dining experience. We sat outside because it was nice out, but the inside was very cozy. For food, I tried the prime rib daily special, marionberry cobbler, and a combination pizza to-go. Everything was pretty good! I will say the prime rib was more of a beef stroganoff which was a little disappointing, but it was a comforting meal and rather filling. Couldn't leave Oregon without trying marionberry, so I got the cobbler! I liked the vanilla ice cream and the warm, sweet, and tart cobbler. It was delicious but a little too sweet for my taste. The combination pizza was delicious and held up well for takeout! This is a family owned restaurant that's been open for quite a while now. I was lucky enough to meet one of the owners! She was so sweet and personable. Everyone who served or interacted with us were nothing but nice. Such a wonderful spot!

Macaroni and Cheese, with a chocolate porter.

One of my absolute favorites spots. I love the lodge feel and the food is fantastic. The service is spot on and being out on the McKenzie is epic. Especially with a boat of the best Macaroni and Cheese, ever...and a Chocolate Porter. I always come back.

My only complaint about Takoda's is that I didn't discover it sooner! I've driven by it a million times and never stopped. I'm not even sure where I saw it talked about recently, but I wanted something different than Ike's Pizza on my way up the McKenzie. My husband and I stopped in here last night on our way back from Sahalie Falls. Side note, it was still snowed in and we couldn't stop. So we turned around and headed to Takoda's to grab dinner. We were immediately greeted and given the choice to sit inside or outside. I'm sooooo glad we picked outside because it was absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect. It was such a relaxing dinner. Our server, I didn't get her name, was fabulous. Super friendly and attentive. Checked on us at all the right intervals, and made sure we had everything. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start with, I had the prime rib French dip, and my husband had the Sasquatch burger. I may never poop again from the sheer volume of cheese I ate, but I can live with that because it was so delicious. My sandwich had the most amazingly well toasted bread, so it soaked up all the delicious au jus when dipped. My husband's burger was over cooked for my taste, but he didn't request a specific temperature on it, and their menu says they go for medium-medium well unless otherwise specified. But the fried egg on it was legit. The yolk was perfectly runny. I'll be the first to admit that I judge every restaurant on their French dip sandwiches and how well they cook an egg on a burger. And I am always irritated if either is less than perfect. I was so happy that both were completely perfect here. Add in the perfect scenery, and it made for the most amazing and relaxing dinner I've had in a very long time. Would I return? Yes, yes, and most definitely yes! I'm already looking forward to going back. Plus, since Sahalie Falls was snowed in, I have a reason to go. I'm still just irritated that I hadn't taken the time to stop in here before. But I'll make up for that with return visits.

Those delicious marionberry pancakes
Kiki H.

Post Covid menu is back in action, which means they have my beloved Mac and cheese again. This is my favorite thing in the menu and I get it once a trip. This time they had marionberry cobbler for dessert. Marionberries were fresh and delicious. The cobbler was more like a cake though (no crumble insight). Overall still good! For lunch I also enjoy the tuna melt, which is simple but hearty. Service is still very good. One complaint/request - pleeaaaase bring back breakfast!!!!!

Three Sisters Red Ale
Mel H.

Lots of great beers on tap! The pizza was great. I ordered the garden but added green peppers, regular tomatoes and mushrooms. The crust was very tasty. Other items at our table were Shepard s Pie (yum) and a turkey sandwich (yum). The highlight was the marrionberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. The patio is lovely....with a waterfall and pond. I also loved the little shop upstairs.

Made me a big fat delicious salad

I ordered the 3 Cheese Calzone and it came with a small cup of extra sauce! Which was perfect and chilled which added to the dynamics of the hot calzone! I can't remember the last time I even wanted to finish a calzone! Was a short wait for the food. Music playing in background was a vibe. They had the games on so was great to just sit back relax and eat some quality local handmade food. Calzone: 10/10 Ingredients were fresh, dough was cooked perfectly. Had that crunchy bite with softer doughy center and the cheese and sauce came out slowly. Worth the drive, worth the time and the value mixed with quality you can't beat.

Yes we stayed in Sisters 2 nights and ended up coming here both nights. The sunset reverie was a great balance between sweet and sour with the lemon in it. My husband enjoyed his cider. We ordered a pizza from Boone Dog Pizza, and it was decent. The second night we had already eaten and just stopped by for drinks, but I wish I had tried their burger. I saw one go by, and it looked really good! I tried Hot Girl Summer drink the second night which had elderflower in it and gin, but I still preferred the Sunset Reverie. We enjoyed sitting outside with all the neat metal art in the yard, and service was good. You are expected to bus your own table, but the bartender was very knowledgeable about the house made syrups in the drinks, etc., and happily answered questions. The pep pizza came with those perfect crispy little pepperonis. Delicious! The Bee sting was a little disappointing. The flavors mingled nicely, It just felt like it was missing something. As a local who lives near this establishment, I feel obligated to warn others: do not trust the inflated online rating. It is a well-known fact among residents here that the positive reviews are fabricated by the owner's family and friends to trap tourists. On top of that, it is ridiculously expensive. I was charged $94 for just two medium-sized pizzas. When they served them, the kitchen execution was completely incompetent--the pizzas had a burnt bottom crust while the middle was still raw and doughy. When I pointed this out, they refused to let me take the inedible food back, completely denied a refund, and wouldn't give me my money back. The restaurant itself is dirty, they use cheap ingredients, and the owner is incredibly rude with terrible customer service. Frankly, the local 7-Eleven has better pizza than this place. At least at the convenience store, the food is fully cooked, consistent, and costs a fraction of the price without the attitude. Save your hard-earned money and support an honest business that actually cares about quality, cleanliness, and treating customers with basic respect.
