Don't judge this Mexican restaurant because it's a drive thru. My opinion is these are the best tacos in Hagerstown, Md and the best I've ever eaten. I ordered the Carnita (pork) tacos and Pollo (shredded chicken). The corn Tortillas were filled to the brim with meat, a bargain at $3.95 each. My Carnita tacos were bursting with flavor, delicious and served with fresh lime slices, cilantro & onions. The gentleman that always waits on me at the drive thru is incredibly friendly, courteous & provides great service. There are tables outside for seating if you prefer not taking your food to go. I have visited every week since my first visit, I love the food that much. . Don't pass by this place without stopping for a bite! Also on Tuesday's you can get 3 tacos for $5.95. Takito never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and generous, whether you're eating there (outdoor seating) or ordering delivery. Highly recommend the 3 tacos with a side of rice and half an avocado -- it's more than enough food and could easily feed two people. Each taco is packed with meat, to the point where you can honestly make two tacos out of one. Add a sope and you're good to go. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Bonus: it's owned by the same people as Taco Bar in Gaithersburg, so the quality is no surprise. Let me start this off with I'm from the West Coast, where we have amazing Hispanic food everywhere you look and I've had some of the best there is in Nevada, Arizona, and California. The good: got tacos and carne asada fries, tacos were super flavorful with corn tortillas that stood up to the test, that also had a really solid flavor. The fries were cooked to perfection with a huge amount of sauce cheese and meat. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic, with some of the best horchata I've ever had. I first encountered Taco Bar in Gaithersburg and it quickly became one of my favorites. When they opened a location in Frederick, I enjoyed that spot too. I was definitely excited when I saw that they were going to open up this Takito just up the street from our house. We have eaten here several times now and it's been great having this spot so close to home. The first time we ate there, the manager stopped by our table to introduce himself and to check our satisfaction with the food. After chatting for a bit he went into the kitchen and returned with a complimentary order of hot, fresh churros for dessert. The only potential downside to the location is the lack of indoor seating but the food is so good it's not too much of a problem. The birria tacos are especially good. I ordered nachos through grub hub. Every part of the nachos was packaged separately. The cheese was bright yellow from a can and the refried beans tasted like they were from a can also. The tortillas were also just cut up store bought tortillas. I will not order from them again. read more

Takito in Hagerstown is amazing. Everything was made in house. The habanero sauce is fire. We got the carnitas, shredded beef, berria, tongue and tripe. I heard about this place in the newspaper and was very excited to try them out and I have to say that I was blown away by the taste and quality of the food. I tried the Burriloco Burrito...It was massive, had a great combination of flavors and I loved having French Fries in the burrito....it was perfection. As someone who has lived in Southern California for 5+ years, this place is phenomenal! The Taco Tuesday deal is fantastic, 3 tacos for $5.95!! The corn tortilla tacos are filled with meat. Get the Carne Asada and Pastor! The Nachos are great too. The Burriloco was awesome and has great customizable options that allowed me to create a California burrito(carne asada, cheese, pico, sour cream, fries and guac). Although a bean and cheese burrito isn't an option on their menu, they made me one and it was fantastic! From what I can tell, most things are made fresh! Visited 9/05/24, got a #5 combo, chicken burrito, a drink and some chips. 2 additional items from a list were allowed, so I chose pico de gallo and cilantro. Total with tax was $14.31. What a rip off, I won't be returning. The burrito was very ordinary, I didn't bite into any pico de gallo or cilantro until the very end.
