One trick that less scrupulous places try is an air filter trick to get you to change your air filter by swapping it to show you a filthy one they have on hand. They pulled it out in view and even told me the grit on there was minimal and I had about two more oil changes before it needed to be changed. Awesome! I had no issue using a digital coupon on my phone for the oil change. They informed me what type of oil the manufacturer requires, and we're very thorough. I will definitely come back. Everyone was extremely polite and professional. They were careful not to mess my hood lights I installed up, as those are installed with adhesive and pose a risk of shifting every time you open the hood. They listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. I don't know how they do it in that small garage but there are approximately 4 people moving around between two narrow bays doing all of the services they offer and I have no clue how they don't run into each other. Their team communication was also good and allowed for what looked like smooth operation between them all. The oil change was pricey, even with a coupon. Anymore all basic car services seem to cost more than they used to and if I posed the skill and materials to do my own oil change, I would. But I don't and it is what it is and I choose them to get it done correctly. My only complaint was their sign was not lit up. It was after dark in December and it was hard to see where I was going to get there with how dark the parking lot is. I don't know if the timer was set for summer hours or if the sign doesn't light up, but for their safety and the customers, parking lot/auto waiting area and the sign should be lit after dark. If you've ever gotten an oil change you know how amazing that phrase is, right there. Every time I've gone to a chain store for an oil change it's at least 25-30% higher than the quote or the price on the sign. They also upsell you everything they can and it's intimidating if you hate saying no and you know little about cars. Not here. I got an oil change and an inspection and no upselling whatsoever. I was also told that anytime I need them to check my levels (oil, tires, whatever), to just pop in and they'll do it for free. This was a service the last guys offered and I was worried about missing at a new shop. While I was there I started talking to them and we had a great conversation. I was treated like a PERSON and not just a wallet walking through the door. This was seriously one of the best customer experiences I've had since moving to Columbus. The long version - I had a bad experience at a different shop where my first call was great but my on site experience was terrible so I decided to call around. Cody answered and really set the tone for a wonderful experience. He was kind and accommodating, but I was still skeptical. So I showed up and was greeted right away even though a handful of people were already in line. As another employee walked by, he also greeted us and let us know it would be just a couple minutes. The place is bright and clean with a very comfy waiting area that includes drinks and snacks. The line moved quickly and Mike was the one who checked me in. He took the time to find out what my concerns were and asked questions to get as much info as possible for the tech. Even with other clients there, Mike gave me his full attention and didn't rush, yet everything was efficient and thorough. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people and that's the vibe I get from the whole team there. I was able to take the shuttle home even though the regular driver was off that day. Curtis (an advisor) filled in and was so friendly. At this point I was still holding on to a little of that skepticism because I've been a service advisor, I've had over 100 vehicles, driven over a million miles, and had work done in at least ten different states at countless shops. I know electrical issues can be difficult and some techs just push them out the door without doing any work. Luckily that's not the case here. I got a call from the technician the same day. He explained what was going on so far, asked a couple questions, and let me know what the plan was. Again, no rushing, just kindness, caring, and good energy. I'm sorry I didn't clarify his name, I heard Muño but I could be way off. Either way, as a customer, he was one of the best technicians I've talked to. I later got a text with the inspection report. It was clear, thorough, and had videos of my vehicle along with pre recorded videos that explained some of the systems and issues. Then I get a call from Mike and we talked about how to prioritize the repairs since I'm on a budget. He didn't try to make me feel bad for not being able to get some of the work done, he didn't change his tone and rush me off the phone. He was compassionate and gave me honest feedback about which things are safety concerns and which ones I can come back for when I'm ready. I am so impressed with the whole team at this location and love the fact that everyone communicates so well. I didn't have to call them once and I was able to text if I did anything. I don't think you'll find a more caring team anywhere. I've had plenty of good advisors, good managers, and decent techs individually, but in 30 years of vehicle ownership, I have not found a place where every single person down the line held the same standard of honesty and kindness. This is now my go to shop for everything and I don't even live nearby! So if you need work, even if you're 20 miles away, this is the place you need to go!!
