However, any mechanical repair is extremely expensive. I received an estimate to change the sway away bars, rear suspension/rear shock absorbers and change the tripods for close to $1,500. I found a local small shop mechanic that did it for less than $700. Also, on another vehicle, the horn wasn't working, so Oxford gave me an estimate to fix it for $450. I reviewed YouTube videos and was able to fix it myself, since the problem was simply that the ground cable was not making contact. Bought a 2' copper cable, changed the horn and changed the plug, all for less than $60. Yes, $450 vs $60. Again, I don't think they are bad mechanics, but way too pricey. Won't go back.

When the battery light comes on, it means your vehicle is being powered by the battery only, instead of the alternator. Owner Tu told me to remove the negative battery cable while the car was running. The car died. Easy over the phone diagnosis. I swapped out for a new battery and drove over. Tu got a new alternator delivered and installed the next day. The price was far below my other estimates. I immediately asked him to do rear shocks also, to throw him some extra business. Parts delivered and installed same day. He made this entire process happen in days before thanksgiving. Other shops couldn't see me until December. I've already spoken to Tu about some other minor work I would like to have done. Once again he removes the steering wheel to make a quick diagnosis on the cruise control. I plan to get more done after the holidays. I highly recommend this mechanic for his service, professionalism, and overall great personality.

He canceled last minute (he was drinking of course) so I was in a hurry to find a shop that was still open and able to service at 430 pm. The universe was definitely on my side this day as they had an opening and got me in right away.. This doesn't usually happen per the shop as they are booked out weeks in advance. Valvoline is my normal go to place but I found this new shop and thought I would try it out. The owners really seem to be passionate about what they do and I was thrilled to get a 10% for being a first time customer. My vehicle check engine light kept coming on and the boys told me it was because of my gas cap.They also detailed my car for no additional charge. I think I found my new safe heaven.
