I had an awful experience with the Precision Tune on Hixson Pike. Precision Tune substituted…read morenon-OEM parts on me without my knowledge. Lenny claimed it was the right part, but later the Nissan dealership's mechanics identified an exhaust leak into the passenger cabin as a gap between the non-OEM part that was allowing the exhaust to escape containment. It's hot gases under pressure. A gap is a failure in that scenario. I have photos of the soot from the leak clearly outside the containment area and a photo from the dealer mechanic of the gap. So what happene? Did the Prevision Tune oil change tech just bolt on a non-OEM part and say "Oh well," or did he just not even notice the gap. Precision Tune on Hixson Pike refused to do anything at all to make this up to me despite all the times Lenny claimed to be my friend. Watch out for people who are only friendly to you when they're taking money from you but turn their back on you when you need them. I'm out a lot of money from the non-OEM part that got substituted without my knowledge plus the high labor charges Precision Tune hit me with. People that smile in your face when the going is good and then get angry against you and turn their back on you when you need them are not the kind of people I can trust. Do what you want, but I'm going to avoid Precision Tune on Hixson Pike. I'm out over a thousand for nothing and found out today that Lenny is a fake nice guy. He's really friendly when he's milking you for cash, but in my experience he's a surly jerk when he's not working you for some cash. Which Lenny is the real guy? Is the owner any better?

We called to get a water pump put in our van and this company wanted an extravagant amount over…read more1200.00 while all the others including flushing the coolant were around 500.00 to 600.00 and gave us a lifetime warranty on part n labor 160.00 to 390.00 labor so this price given to us from Gobbler is utterly ridiculous. And we don't know if they even included the pulley, the thermostat or new serpentine belt or the fan clutch, this gobbler didn't even say any of this was included. Gobbler means they will gobble your money. Skip this one! We haven't made up our minds yet on who to use or if the one we choose will do a good job but we won't be using this one. PriceGeek was the best prices for the parts but we found that OEM $? or ACDelco 266.00 or Gates $? or Moray( lifetime warranty) 180.00 are the best water pumps. This pump would be for a chevy 3500 van and don't even have to take the radiator out to get to it. Too many mechanics will only guarantee the pump they put in for 1 year n not even lifetime which is not right. Who wants to keep putting cheap water pumps in and cheap gaskets that cause it to leak too quickly and having to put them in over and over again? Get a good one with preferably a lifetime warranty the first time. It's too much money and too hard to do these jobs over and over again. Get Good gaskets! Get a Good pump in the first place! ...or you will be sorry. And get guaranteed lifetime labor! To charge over 1200.00 is a Total rip off! This is double what all the others charge. Just an extra Note: And the pump manufacturer this company gobbler uses wont give a warranty at all unless you have a full coolant flush with it they said. They did not say which water pump they use. Maybe they already know they will have to do it again n so they charge double just in case. If we weren't older then we could buy the pump ourselves n do it much cheaper. And some say they catch the coolant n reuse it if it's clean, but we wouldn't. 180.00-266.00 pump with pulley, 40.00 or less for the belt, 75.00 coolant n a few clamps. So for around 300.00 to 385.00 we could do it ourselves depending on whether we put on a new belt. So they are making around 800.00 for labor here. Shame Shame!
