Given how horrible one of our previous experiences was with a totally unfriendly bartender at an unnamed establishment in the same general vicinity as Les Torchés, I would be remiss if I didn't mention how sociable the bartender at Les Torchés was. After learning that we were visiting, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. And even though she was responsible for patrons both inside and in the outdoor patio area, she still made time to check on us and to inquire how we were doing and whether we were ready for another drink. My wife declined, but I took her up on her offer of another pint of Murphy's. All-in-all, it was a splendid respite from a hectic day of shopping. As a table of 4, we started by sharing the Charcuterie platter Plein Sud. Unfortunately, we dug in too fast for me to take a picture, but it was very beautiful. The only complaint is that the pieces of cheese were so incredibly small, like the size of a piece of cheese you'd cut at home to eat yourself. But these tiny pieces were meant for sharing.
