K2 Plus Combo A - salmon sashimi, salmon nigiri, shrimp nigiri, salmon avocado, k2 roll, kamikaze, general tao chicken roll, red dragon

Haven't been here before the pandemic but ordered through UberEats. They have frequent buy 1, get 1 free on select items. It's packaged really well, and the quality is great for the value. Service was quicker than I expected. Happy with the taste and service, would order again!

I went here for the first time to celebrate my birthday with some friends from school. It's well located and nicely decorated but very strict! The people who serve you are all so uptight. They make sure to optimize the seating and they'll push your bags out of the way if it interferes with the path they've drawn out to serve. There are cameras everywhere, they have two people watching the doors in case you dine and dash I guess? They serve everything really hurriedly. Even the message on the Ipad before you place your order is strict (you will pay for any waste and/or damages). A waitress did screw up one of our orders, she gave us shrimp tempura by mistake but they took it away without any trouble. Just like Sushi Crystal, the tablet locks you out after the first order and you must ask a server to unlock it before ordering again. Prices are a bit more expensive then the other surrounding AYCE sushi places. Quality is good, their K2 roll is original. They had good avocado rolls and the salmon was fresh. I order really basic stuff though so I usually prefer sushi places that charge less and maybe aren't as fancy. Like most sushi places they will force you to tip 15% and anything slightly below will insult them. There are tons of AYCE sushi places around Concordia so it's not like this is your only option if you're craving sushi.

I haven't been to this place for a while. Today it catches my appetite. More varied choice are provided now, such as Japanese bbq skewers. The ingredients are fresh and tasty as well.

Overall I'd give this ayce sushi place a 3.5/5. The menu is pretty standard as with most ayce sushi restaurants, and it's provided electronically on an ordering tablet. This format is certainly very convenient and allows you to scroll through at your leisure, and the pictures are very helpful, especially if you're unfamiliar with sushi and Asian food. Some more descriptions would be helpful though, especially for the rolls, since I'd like to know what's inside each one. What was rather annoying about the ordering tablet is that the order is not submitted directly to the kitchen. Rather, you have to wait for one of the staff to come by and enter the order in. Sometimes it would take a while before someone would notice you waiting, and it was altogether just more inconvenient. On to the food - I went for lunch, and honestly it's one of the better sushi deals downtown, with the major draw being that sashimi (salmon and escolar) are included in the lunch menu. Fisshu also has this, but overall I find the quality of the food at k2 to be better. The sushi, rolls, soup, and salads were all decent (keep in mind that this is ayce quality), and I didn't have any complaints about that, apart from the eel nigiri looking a bit skimpy. The sashimi was very good and thickly sliced. The teriyaki salmon was okay, though very sweet and a bit dry in texture. The general tso chicken was awful though, and I really regretted ordering it, since it came in a sizeable portion and was pretty much beyond redemption. It was dry and had a thick breading, and looked like they had fried a large chicken patty and cut it apart and drizzled with some sort of sauce. Service was pretty good. They were friendly and did their best, despite the restaurant being very busy. It was a bit hard to get their attention at times but that's understandable. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back, but I think I'll stick to west island for my sushi fix for now.

of course we had to try an AYCE sushi but was extremely disappointed with this. on the online menu, there were definitely way more options and varieties to choose from. when we first got there, we picked our own seat and then just order from the tablet, rarely any interaction with the waiters. we knew it was for lunch so the options will be limited but didnt expect it to be that limited. the sashimi was literally smaller than my pinky. we ordered at least 5 rounds of sashimi because it was that small. felt like the more rounds we ordered, the smaller the pieces get. however the sushi itself was a bigger portion, bigger because of the extra rice they packed into it. the pics they had on the tablet were definitely deceiving. maybe we are not used to the taste here but everything seems too salty. the sauce definitely made the food salty. got to say they were pretty fast with the food coming to us. as soon as we ordered the food on the tablet, the food came out in a couple of mins.

To begin, I think rating a sushi buffet is quite different than rating a typical a la carte restaurant. I think it's quite common to expect a pretty below average service lol, and if you do go on a weekend night, then also expect the high price combine with even slower below average service. BUT! It's a sushi buffet so let's talk about sushi! I've being to this place a few times now, and I always order with my friend plenty of sashimi! Personaly, they have one of the best sashimi in town. It's cut in a beautiful portion and tastes delioosiosoo! Their signature sushi is also amazing. Their rice to sushi portion is well controlled unlike other buffets thst puts way too much rice. As for the tempura, it's good but not my favorite since it's served in quite a messy way. In the end, if you came for sashimi and sushi you won't be dissapointed. If you came to be served like your royal highness, then you clearly didn't realise you came to a freaken buffet.

Came here for a work lunch with a group of 10. The place has a very nice ambience, although sitting further back means it was a bit darker around our table. We ordered on a tablet which is very convenient, especially since it makes it easy to keep track of what you'd ordered (since it's an all-you-can-eat). Also, there are photos of all the foods so we did appreciate being able to see what we're ordering. I would definitely recommend trying the house specialty roll! Service was quite good, with minimal wait between orders, although the place was not too busy with a couple of empty tables around us. The sushi was delicious! Although I'm not a sushi snob, but I did try a lot of the menu (sushi, sashimi, maki, hosomaki, tempura) and found it was good quality and well prepared. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be coming back!

Today is my friend's birthday. We come o this restaurant for first time. Very good and quick service. Similar as Crystal Sushi, you order with a tablet. But you have to ask waitress to unlock it every time after each order. They have their special roll : K2 roll.

Called the restaurant 23 times throughout the afternoon. No one picked up the phone. My girlfriend really wanted to go to this place, so she went to the restaurant and finally got a table. We got there at 4:30pm and we were the first one who walked into the restaurant. The food didn't come until 5:00pm, I mean this is all you can eat, right? The first dish was miso soup, the soup was cold already, and it is extremely salty. The second dish was California roll, the avocado inside is not fresh, tastes weird, and the roll collapses when we try to bring it to our bowls with chopsticks LOL. Then, there were just some really normal sashimis. Not very fresh, not too bad, very average. We ate faster then they serve, and we lost our appetite very quickly, this is the strategy lol??? Also the AC above the seat drops a drop of water every 5 minutes, pretty annoying, we told this to the server. She said she will ask, then she never showed up again lol. We got mad, and we told another server that we want the bill and pay. He said "OK", then he disappeared as well. After 5 minutes, we asked another server. He said " if you want to pay, come to the front". I mean... Bruh... If I need to pay in the front, then just tell me first. The bill for two people was $80+, we barely ate any dishes. AND For the tips selection, the first one is 20%, I have nothing to comment about this LOL, if you are reading this , I think you will understand All of the staff weren't even friendly, no greets, no smiles, barely speaks, very small voice. Worst sushi place I've ever had in Montreal. If K2+ tries to delete this comment by saying this is completely fake, I will pull more pictures out and the payment record. LOL.

salmon rose, squid sushi, spicy salmon, surf calm, and MUSHROOM sushi!!?!??

This is a Cantonese-run AYCE sushi but I love the service!!!! We visited for the $15.99 lunch and it features a HUGE menu. My only complaint is the soup noodles and the soup, they are quite awful. It doesn't taste too good, but it satisfies your craving if you really want some. They have squid sushi! Spicy salmon and salmon rose is pretty good, acceptable. The food I would say is about 3 stars (and probably 2 stars compared to Toronto AYCE) but it's cheap, the sushi doesn't fall apart, it's NOT loaded with rice, and the service is good. The loud waitress, I don't love her though.

K2 roll; yummy but not outstanding!

We showed up at 5:30 without a reservation and I wasn't sure we'd be able to snag a table. And honestly, if we had gotten there 15 minutes later, we probably would have had a long wait. So far, so good. We were seated at a table near the sushi bar and there was a vibration coming through the floor that was loud and a bit unpleasant. The prices were a little high which was a little off putting. But, we saw a couple of options - like a sushi boat - on their website ... but it turns out that is only for takeout, which is just weird. Service was slow and the wait staff disappeared at times. Normally, these things would have me deducting stars. But can I just say that the food was so darn good that I can overlook all of it. It was absolutely outstanding. Vegan sushi rich with umami. In my opinion, not everyone gets sushi right, specifically with the freshness of the fish, so we were pleasantly surprised to find Kyo. Our group included 4 people who are absolutely obsessed with Sushi, and so I was curious what their take was. I tried the Snake roll, edamame, and requested an avocado/ cucumber roll which they made for me. The rest of the group tried the rainbow roll, chefs choice Maki combination, chefs choice sushi combination, tonkatsu pork, and the beignets for dessert. Let me start off by mentioning the incredibly kind service we received from the hostess, server, and staff the entire night. On an incredibly busy Friday night, they maintained their patience as the restaurant was completely booked, and were kind and pleasant in every interaction. The restaurant itself is beautifully located in downtown, clean, and spacious. You do not feel rushed to eat. The food was so good we have decided to go back for dinner one more night before traveling back home. The vegetables and fish are fresh, the portions are perfect yet generous, and overall, id rate this restaurant a 12/10. Highly recommend if you're in Montreal and looking for good food.

We browsed the menu, and decided to go light and ended up trying the the following: - Edamame (with Furakake): Good. Soy beans can only be so different between restaurants. I will note that some of the soy beans we got were the biggest I've even seen. Furakake added needed flavour. - Avocado Truffle Tacos: OK. Quite tiny, but well made and tasted good. I didn't get any hint of truffle though. - Wagyu Dumplings: Good. But similar to any good quality non-wagyu dumpling I've had before. Overpriced. - Paradise Maki: Good. I like the texture of the tempura. - White Dragon Maki: Very good. I think the ponzu sauce elevates this dish another level. Service was pretty standard. Did all the tight things, and timely, but not particularly friendly. Overall, it was an OK visit. Food overall was generally good quality, but very expensive for the quality and quantity you get. Now onto their menu- I was expecting a bit more food options, but they really only have light bites/appetizers, so I'd eat elsewhere beforehand. I ordered the Wagyu brioche, which was incredible, but I wasn't as impressed with the crispy hosomaki, which was overly salty and didn't have that much dimension of flavor.
