What a beautiful ambience in a beautiful place to come dine in. We came here for a pre-birthday celebration and the experience was fantastic! The sushi was so fresh and delectable. I can't believe that it was plant based. The teas that they had were superb, and our hostess had a lovely attitude. I highly recommend this place, and will return again any day!

Best sushi ever. The fact that it's vegan makes even more delicious. So many different flavors and all of them amazing. I don't remember all the names of the rolls but I remember we had the mushroom tartar, blossom roll, kamikaze, spicy roll, Mr. Crunch, and more. All delicious

Excellent food, and great ambience. I got to try the omakase for 1 and there was a great variety. The sauce that came with the veggie gyoza was to die for!! It's always such a pleasure findjng these vegan gems- will definitely be back the next time I visit Montreal.

Excellents sushis vegans.

Excellent food with a super friendly staff Like these vegan sushi dishes better than regular sushi by far. Every dish is a journey of tastes and textures, and totally worth our trip from NYC.

Wonderful vegan sushi in a place with beautiful wabi-sabi ambience and friendly, attentive staff. I came back here with my husband after coming here on my own. We got the $35 special with miso soup, fried dumplings and 13 pieces of sushi that is the chef's choice, and also the Japanese salad. It's a great combo that we can highly recommend.

Great food!! Love a good vegetarian Asian menu - the sushi's were really good. My favorite was the New Delhi sushi and would def recommend that.

Absolutely delicious! My husband was skeptical when I suggested a vegan sushi place but like others have said he did not even miss the fish! I don't know how they do it, but it is so flavorful and amazing. I would totally come back if I was local! Ambience was peaceful, and wait staff very attentive and helpful with making suggestions. I loved the kamikaze inari!

There are not enough words to describe how incredible this experience was. Bloom Sushi came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. I went with 4 other friends and we decided to order a spread of rolls (see receipt). The staff told us what was what when the food arrived, but we were so excited, I couldn't actually keep track of what was what All of the rolls were delicious and the rolls that contained jalapeños weren't spicy, in case anyone was worried about that. The rolls containing mushroom were MAGICAL and... now I'm hungry again. Definitely need to go back the next time I am in Montreal. I'll realistically be ordering everything I ordered the first time again because it was absolutely phenomenal. Will have to take better notes in the future... for science. If you're planning on coming here, make reservations in advance and come early for street parking.

Stumbled upon bloom late at night looking for a place to eat and I'm so glad we found this place . I hadn't noticed that majority of the menu is vegetarian rolls , but I was willing to try . Let me tell you all the rolls were soo good ! We orders the omakse and it was a good choice for two people and to try a bit of variety . Also had the gyoza and some cocktails . Overall great experience , our server was super sweet and we sat outside where we enjoyed the nice weather .

This vegan sushi bar stands out! We tried a bunch of different rolls and absolutely loved the crispy rice with mushrooms. I think you cannot go wrong with anything you order here! The place is fairly priced for the quality of food. I also liked their gratuity ranges, unlike many other high end restaurants it does not start at 18 or 22%. This is an honest review so I had to mention the gratuity range because it was a welcome change! I would recommend this place to vegans/ vegetarian and even meat eaters who try something different! This is also right in the heart of the city and a cute place.

Bloom is a beautiful sushi place with a Zen ambience. The food was amazing. Staff were attentive and helpful. Stoneware used was well selected and complimented each dish. My partner and I ordered a few items on the menu. We had the Mr. Crunch roll (Fried Oyster mushroom, shitake mushroom, tempura, avocado, masago arare, tartar sauce) ($14), Matcha ice cream ($7), The La Fiesta roll (Sweet potato, avocado, jalapeno, tempura, spicy sauce, sriracha, pesto (5 pieces) ($8), Mushroom tartar (oyster mushroom, enoki mushroom, shiitake mushroom and avocado, truffle with miso tartar sauce and taro chip) ($17), and Salmon Sashimi (konjac salmon, ponzu sauce, apple and caviar) ($15). My partner was blown away by how phenomenal the Mr. Crunch roll and the Mushroom Tartar were. He raved about it for the rest of the evening. I have never seen him so excited about food. This is a real testament to the power of a composed dish. I literally had to remind him to romaine calm and lettuce carrot on after our great meal at Bloom. Hopefully we will be visiting Montreal again soon so we can visit Bloom!

I really appreciate the ease of booking and how I didn't have to think about what people were going to order. One hiccup was that I had indicated ahead of time that one of the guests had a seafood allergy, which I understand can be difficult for Japanese restaurant. I had expected them to tailor the $70 menu to her, however, they let us know that it was gonna be difficult and instead asked her to pick from the à la carte menu. She had no problem with this, but I felt bad and didn't want her to think that I had an indicated ahead of time of her dietary restriction. Overall, the meal was good. It was a little bit slow to start coming out. I think our total dining time was over two hours which was fine because we were celebrating something but for the first 30 minutes I feel like no food came out. A little bit on the salty side, but I enjoyed every dish. For the price point I think it was perfect. I would recommend this for a group dinner again. The high top tables weren't the most comfortable for such a large group as we were essentially split in two, but for a group of 6-8 it would be perfect!

We showed up on time for our reservation. The restaurant is dark, and sleek looking, so it could be a place for dinner or for drinks at the bar. We browsed the menu, and decided to go light and ended up trying the the following: - Edamame (with Furakake): Good. Soy beans can only be so different between restaurants. I will note that some of the soy beans we got were the biggest I've even seen. Furakake added needed flavour. - Avocado Truffle Tacos: OK. Quite tiny, but well made and tasted good. I didn't get any hint of truffle though. - Wagyu Dumplings: Good. But similar to any good quality non-wagyu dumpling I've had before. Overpriced. - Paradise Maki: Good. I like the texture of the tempura. - White Dragon Maki: Very good. I think the ponzu sauce elevates this dish another level. Service was pretty standard. Did all the tight things, and timely, but not particularly friendly. Overall, it was an OK visit. Food overall was generally good quality, but very expensive for the quality and quantity you get. But I also recognize that sometimes you pay for ambiance, and you certainly do here.

Located on the 45th floor, you can get beautiful panoramic views of the city, including of the St. Lawrence river. Highly recommend stopping by to watch the sunset transition into nighttime. Now onto their menu- I was expecting a bit more food options, but they really only have light bites/appetizers, so I'd eat elsewhere beforehand. I ordered the Wagyu brioche, which was incredible, but I wasn't as impressed with the crispy hosomaki, which was overly salty and didn't have that much dimension of flavor. The drinks were incredible and innovative though, incorporating authentic Japanese flavors and three eras of Japan's history. Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.
