This place is super cute and in a great, walkable location. The service was great, our server was super friendly and funny! We had the cauliflower and dumpling appetizers and they both were delicious. The fish tacos and mushroom risotto were amazing! They have diary options so not everything is vegan.

I have been to this location a few times and they never cease to amaze me, as they update their menu regularly. I love the design of the restaurant, combination of modern and contemporary decorations which makes it suitable for dates, friends and also business gatherings. So far, I have tried their Salmon Tartare, Lasagna, LOV Bagel and burgers and all have been very delicious and perfectly served. The staff are also friendly and helpful which positively contributes to the great atmosphere.

Stopped by LOV McGill during a recent trip to Montréal and was pleasantly surprised. I had the house-made vegan burger--not your typical Impossible or Beyond patty, which was a nice change. Flavorful, satisfying, and held together well. Definitely a solid choice if you're looking for a good plant-based burger. Highly recommend going with the sweet potato fries over the regular ones--they're crispier and have way more flavor. We liked it enough to come back a second time. I tried the fish taco (also vegan), and it was actually really good--great texture and seasoning, one of the standouts on the menu. Overall, a great spot for anyone looking for a vegetarian or vegan-friendly meal in a stylish, casual setting. Worth a visit even if you're not strictly plant-based.

Loved the decor here and service was very good but the food missed its mark for me. It is baffling to me how vegan restaurants can serve the most unhealthy food. So much fried food options, what gives? Psuedo cheese is not healthy either. I should have looked at the menu more closely before selecting this place as I strive to find quality healthy food. Dal soup was very good. I found a healthy option rice bowl that turned out to be hot rice over greens resulting in one untasty mushy gross dish. Yuck- fortunately, the server noticed that I had not eaten much and took it off the bill.

Ok cute restaurant - very charming but the food was terrible. Liked the cauliflower. But the mushroom truffle risotto was just awful. Very bland like no flavor at all and it felt undercooked. We asked the server and he said he will get it redone, but they clearly just warmed up our plate and reserved it to us - still undercooked btw. The dumplings were also extremely bland but atleast the sauce it was served with made it a bit palatable. Ordered a crème de la creme and it taste like milk. I'm wondering if I read it wrong or if they were missing the pistachio stuff. All in all didn't I wouldn't recommend it at all.

My experience at this restaurant was delightful. It's very nice and cozy inside. The food was better than expected and our waitress was great.

The Californian bowl was amazing. Healthy and super delicious. It went well with the berry smoothie. Truffle fries were delicious too. The ambience is tooo good. A perfect date restaurant for anyone who loves vegan food.

Petit café végétarien, avec un assez bon menu, j'ai dégusté le burger qui était goûteux et savoureux, la salade au poulet de ma femme était délicieuse. Small végétarian café, with a pretty good menu, i taste the burger and it was tasty and delicious, the chicken salad of my wife was excellent too.

Got a reservation at 7:15pm on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. There was still some space inside so we got seated pretty quickly. Really love the outside decor and the inside felt like I was entering an oasis. Service was really quick and servers were attentive throughout the night. Menu was through a QR code though the alcohol/drinks menu is a physical copy. Ordered the leaf mocktail and it had a slight kick but was still super refreshing. Really delicious drink. Tried out the wood mocktail and it was really grapefruit forward. For food, got the kimchi fries, salted ricotta starter, crispy mushroom burger (+ friend got the tacos), & poached pear for dessert. Kimchi fries had wakame sprinkled on top. So good. Wasn't too spicy and the fries were nice and salty. The salted ricotta with toasted bread and broccolini was also good but towards the end the vegan ricotta did split a little. The crispy mushroom burger had a really delicious fried batter. The mushroom itself could have been seasoned a bit more but the batter was flavorful. Burger held up to the sauce and the salad wasn't too overwhelmed by the dressing (which sometimes happens with a vinaigrette). The poached pear was good but it should have been poached a little bit longer as it was difficult to slice with the spoon. Chocolate sauce and candied walnuts were a nice touch though. Overall, a really lovely place to be on a Friday night. Would be interested in trying some other items on the menu.

We made our reservations ahead of time, and very glad we did. It was very busy on a Saturday night (always a good sign). We were seated immediately. The ambiance is beautiful and the staff were very attentive. We ordered Kimchi fries, tacos, gnocchi, soup, creme brulee and lemonade. We loved every bit! Everything was presented very well and was very delicious! The portion sizes are also very decent! I definitely will be going back next time I am in the city.

Food that won't make you even miss animal products for a second! Everything was super tasty and well made. Our group ordered from the table d'hote menu which comes with an appetizer and a main. We especially liked the "fried calamari" which is fried palm hearts. The only surprise was the vegetable soup of the day--we thought it would've been a veloute but nope, it was just a thin broth with sliced carrots in it. The lasagna and salad are definitely filling, I could barely finish the salad. The fries that came with the crispy burger are addictive since they're small and fried just right.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!

This place deserves a review and it deserves positive recognition. They are versatile in their offerings, and healthy but not overdoing it. I would assume many were customers first and then realized that this would be a chill place to eat. With my progeny, I almost made the mistake of eating in the Old Port. I mean, maybe chocolate crepes for dinner would have been more consumed than the healthier cheese and chicken alternatives at Chez Jose, but the relaxing vibe, and wholesomeness of it all, made me so relieved that I didn't settle for a tourist trap. I went a long time ago, back in 2021, and I was so happy to have gone again since they relocated to Old Montreal. The exterior is this new building, but inside, it feels like you're in an old building with rustic textures and colours. The ambiance is so lovely and it truly is the best place for delicious brunch items and taking cute pictures too! My friends and I visited on a Saturday morning without reservations, but we went relatively earlier. We were seated right away for a table of 4 and were served teas and coffee. I ordered the Bone Marrow & Duck Confit which consisted of a country-style bread, duck poached egg, bone marrow, confict duck leg, manchego shavings, herb salted crumble and green peas. It's a massive dish and honestly everything tasted amazing all together. The bone marrow was perfectly cooked and the duck poached egg meld everything together. They also give you another bowl so you can put the marrow once you're done eating it. The bread was needed to soak up every part of this delicious dish. Other items ordered was the Foie Gras (Chef's specialty) which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, caramelized onion compote and crispy proscuitto chips. The chips were a wonderful item to pair with the seared foie gras. The foie gras was perfectly cooked. The Rustic is another fan favourite which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, sautéed mushrooms. pulled pork, potatoes and argula sprouts. it is such a beautiful dish - nice colours, many ingredients and placed well on the plate; not to mention it was so good too! The last item was the Croque Monsieur which has country-style bread, maple-glaed Gaspor acon, confit tomatoes, cheddar, duck sunny side-up egg on an endive salad. You can't pick it up and munch on it, so you know how big this must have been! Even cut into pieces, it requires some maneuvering to munch on it. Great place for brunch. Awesome service too.
