The brussels sprouts were boiled or steamed which tends to make them kind of flavorless, but the blueberry pie was really good as well. However. There was ONE EMPLOYEE in the entire front of house. ONE. She was sprinting between the bar, the tables, the kitchen, the host station, and the bussing station at top speed the entire 90 minutes we were there. She rolled up to our table and breathlessly apologized for the wait 15 minutes after we'd sat down, took our orders and sprinted off to grab another table's dishes, and disappeared into the kitchen to snatch another batch of food. We waited about an hour for our meals, which arrived a little over-roasted. But it was very obviously not her fault, but the fault of whichever incompetent skinflint manager couldn't be bothered to give her enough help to prevent her from doing 4-5 different people's jobs all night long. The restaurant is attached to the airport inside the Best Western hotel. It serves decent American style food like burgers. I had the Maine wild blueberry pancakes in an effort to hit carb nirvana. The pancakes were good and contained plenty of the delicious blueberries which probably negated all calories. The coffee was good. Service was pleasant. We had a late snack to kill some time before our early flight back home. We had garlic parm chicken wings that were decent. Seems like a convenient option while staying at the airport hotel or waiting for your flight. It had regular American bar food options and probably some good drink options as well. I will say only one waitress working the tables and bar area that evening. She was doing great for what one person can do but another one working would have been better overall. read more

Had an amazing time with Fonda tonight. She is a rockstar. She had 13 tables plus tending bar with 8 seats. It's an absolute miracle she could even handle all these tables on her own. She was stressed beyond all means but was somehow able to make it work. We felt terrible for her. While this is a great review for Fonda, this is also a terrible review for Tailwinds Grille for not hiring the appropriate amount of waitstaff. It is untenable to expect a server to deal with this amount of customers on her own. It seems like this is the normal expectation of Fonda which is disgusting. I hope Fonda finds employment with a company that respects her unlike Tailwinds Grille. Five stars for Fonda, 0 stars for the manager of Tailwinds Grille. read more

Had the burger with nice wedges of thick cut fries. Very tasty and delicious caramelized mushrooms that were added. I'll try the onion rings next time. Seems like most people stop here if they are passing through or by the airport. My flight got delayed by almost 3 hours, and this restaurant was the only one open at 8pm. Giving this place 3 stars because my dish (lemon chicken with linguine) was quite bland. Tasted like a plate of pasta and butter, with chicken breast--not much salt? Portions were generous for the price, and waitress was very kind. Great service, and comfortable atmosphere to lounge in if you're waiting for a flight. Nothing to go out of your way for. read more

Godfrey's is in the hotel attached to the Bangor Airport; we tried it out when the timing between our rental car and flight on a Sunday morning left us with literally no other choice. The food was okay, and to be fair, we did show up right before they finished up breakfast service, but service was awful. We had to order "in the next minute" when we arrived, but okay fine. If anything else had happened a third that quickly, it would have been nice. Eventually, we got our food order; my husband liked his pancakes, and my breakfast quesadilla was tasty, although they got the meat choice wrong. Unfortunately, our drinks didn't appear for another ten minutes after our food, and the server (and therefore, the check) for another fifteen after that. We had plenty of time before our flight, but this essentially an airport restaurant, and others might not be so lucky. If, for some reason, you're hungry at the Bangor Airport, this could be a good pick among the limited options, but make sure you have plenty of time. read more

During a recent stay at the Sheraton, I had dinner and breakfast at Godfrey's. They have a great menu and the food was excellent; I strongly recommend the Godfrey's Sandwich and the New England Clam Chowder. Also, the staff was very attentive and friendly. Guest service is very important to me and my visits to Godfrey's were among the best. I also liked that the restaurant had a casual atmosphere but very nice, contemporary decor and setting. This restaurant certainly exceeded my expectations and I look forward to returning during my next visit to the Bangor area. read more

I have spent a week staying at this hotel and eating this food. When it comes to hotel food it is about average. I am only giving three stars because of the management. The servers are great in the restaurant and the morning manager was great but the night manager has some personal skills to work on. If you are in town it is a typical place to eat. read more

Ordered two meals for around $35 each. Both meals came out cold and were not flavorful at all. When they brought them back from reheating them, they were still cold. Too often hotel restaurants just do not serve good food even though the meals are expensive. That is NOT true a Godfrey's at the Sheraton in Bangor. Very good diverse menu with excellent food and friendly servers. Although the meals are not inexpensive, I think there is good value and the restaurant/bar is worth a visit. read more

Horrible service at this place! After a long day of sightseeing and driving, we checked into the hotel and since this place is in hotel, we went there for convenience. After we placed our order, we waited over an hour for our sandwiches - we finally got up and left as the waitress tried to get us to stay bc the sandwiches were "almost" ready!! We ended up having a pizza delivered to our room and I'm sure it was much better than the sandwiches we should have had at Godfrey's. read more
