I have been sending my clothing to be repaired here for years now. Recently, I had them move a button on a sweater for me. They had placed the button too high and the sweater was uneven at the bottom. When I sent it back it looks like they decided to hem the bottom instead of moving the button correctly. i stopped in for alterations and don't feel I was treated well. I was told to come back on Monday because the person that does alterations couldn't help me. The cashier didn't even ask me what I needed, she was just dismissive. I had some alterations done in the past that were generally well done. I live about 30 minutes away and made a special trip because I respect the work they did previously. I don't think I will be coming back based on this experience. read more

This is the most compassionate and most capable dry cleaner I ever dealt with. I went there on a Tuesday late afternoon with an extremely difficult request. I not only needed my tuxedo pants let out an inch, but I absolutely had to have it back the very next day so that I could travel to my son's wedding. I also brought a separate suit for dry cleaning that I also needed back immediately to wear to the rehearsal dinner. I was not even a regular customer of theirs and had only been there once before a few months earlier. They not only told me they could do this miracle turnaround for me, but they also had very reasonable prices and no extra charge for the expedited service. Went to pickup my winter coat and it was in worse condition than I left it. This coat is a dress coat and probably worn a handful of times only on the holidays. The coat was hanging unbuttoned on the hanger and looked like it went through a ringer. I asked for it to be redone they said ok but I have a feeling that it probably won't be done. Then was hoping to leave bedding but my God I could buy a whole new set for the cost. They charge prices for items they don't have a button on the register so.... you get charged for an expensive item. A comforter, a bedskirt, 2 shams over $85.00, what is that......... I might as well buy a whole new set. Needless to say didn't leave my items. read more

I thought it was great, first time there, I thought the prices were reasonable, I liked the work they did, repair to a (brand new) torn flannel shirt and repair to a worn spot on my brand new bluejeans. had any work done and usually do it myself. It was good. read more

Simply the best. Pros. Small-town touch but with a robust enough staff that they can probably meet any timeline you have. I come here because they know what they are doing and they do it well. As an airline pilot you need to present a certain image. You want your pilot to look a little disheveled, maybe like they have slept in their uniform for the last 2 nights? I KNOW I don't. Your uniform needs to fit right, it needs to be clean and fresh. Tailorland helps me look good. Really good!! They had great reviews so I went ... IMO they may be great as long as nothing goes wrong. They caused a knick about 1 1/2 inch long across a pair of slacks. It appeared to be from the hanger since the thread was wrapped around it...the lady who says she was the owner gave an attitude of disbelief!! Refused to take accountability for the damage caused by the cleaners. However I kept my composer... almost took her by the neck.....I will never go back and will spread the word to everyone - OWNER is immature, unprofessional, and bad attitude when things go wrong. Life is not perfect, mistakes happen take ownership and nicely find a resolution that's satisfactory to all parties!! read more

I have had 2 suits altered here on 2 separate occasions. Both times, I had a fairly tight timeframe and both times they were patient and able to accommodate me. Another competitor up the road who wanted 2 weeks to do the work actually sent me to Tailorland. The work at Tailorland was done in less than a week, the suits were pressed and the price was exactly as I was told it would be. No complaints here. read more

I brought a Brand NEW dress with the Tags still attached to this business and asked for a Simple Hem, because the length was a bit long, I come back for my dress and It had Stains all along the bottom of it, the girl at the desk told me they used chalk to do my hem line and when the dress was pressed there must have been chalk still on it, she tells me to give her 1 day to fix it. I come back 2 days later and the stains are still in my dress, they SPECIAL dry cleaned it and still couldn't get the stains out. Its been 6 days that they have had my dress and couldn't get the stains out, I ask for my dress and my refund and she (cashier who says she's the owner) tells me she won't refund me my money even though They put stains in a dress I brought to them brand new. I never told them to use chalk on my dress. What a mess these people are, I Will NEVER EVER go there or recommend them to Anyone!! Stay Away They Stain Your Clothing and then make you pay. One of the cheapest dry cleaners in Newburgh, the owner is very helpful, good at getting out tough stains, and has the dry cleaning done fairly quickly. They also offer tuxedo rentals. I checked out a couple other dry cleaners in the area and this was the best by far. read more

I had a difficult time finding a tailor in the area (I live in the southern part of Dutchess County). I was fortunate enough to remember driving past this place on 17K and decided to give them a shot. Well, I will certainly be sticking with this tailor for as long as I live in this area. I have since had a bunch of business suits tailored there (cuffs on pants, jackets taken in, etc.) and all the work was expertly done. Additionally, the work was done in just a few days. The prices are very reasonable and the people who work there are very friendly and honest. They do not recommend work that doesn't need to be done and they have a great eye for the work that does need to be done which is an art in itself. Accordingly, I trust bringing my clothes to them because I know that they won't take advantage and charge me for unnecessary work. They also have two changing rooms which are conveniently located to the fitting area which is not the case in every place I've been. I write this review not because I know the owners (sadly, I don't even know their names) but because I want to support a great local business. In any event, I cannot recommend this tailor highly enough. Try them out...I am sure that you'll reach the same conclusions that I did! read more
