I asked them to diagnose a problem with the AC. They told me it would cost $6,300 to repair it. I did not have them fix it, as I knew that was an outrageous price and the issues they identified were mostly bogus. I went to another shop and got everything fixed for $1400. Beware if you go here.

Gilbert was my advisor and communicated with me every 2 days on status. Once my car was ready in a week, I was able to leave the rental I had with Enterprise at River Oaks Paint and Body for them to pick up later. I did notice a spot was missed when I picked up my car. I was given the option to have it fixed or be given a touch up. I chose a touch up because I was ready to have my car back but I appreciated the option. One star is too generous. Eric's Car Care seems friendly up front -- but once something goes wrong,…read moreit becomes delays, excuses, and attempted add-on charges. Unfortunately, my experience matches what other reviewers have described. Also, this company has a few unresolved BBB complaints recently. In May 2022, they installed a throttle body on my 2007 Ford Explorer. Shortly afterward, the vehicle began having intermittent stalling, and it has steadily worsened. A throttle body should last 100,000 miles or the life of the vehicle, so this kind of failure this soon after installation is unacceptable. Last week, a second mechanic at a Yelp four-star shop inspected it and said the throttle body was "faulty out of the box" and not a Motorcraft or Original Equipment Supplier part. When I brought the vehicle back to Eric's, they kept it for three full days, then told me "nothing is wrong" and attempted to charge me $125 to "look into it" -- exactly the kind of delay and added fees others have warned about. The manager blamed the delay on having only one mechanic and my vehicle being "in line." To make it worse, they claimed the warranty had expired, but when I asked for the signed warranty documentation, they couldn't produce it. If you're going to deny coverage, you should be able to provide the paperwork you say I agreed to. Run -- don't walk -- away from this shop.

I have a 2013 VW Touareg TDI. I purchased some bad diesel from a nearby Shell station which caused…read morethe engine light to come on and the car to operate in the limp mode. I went to four different repair shops (three German car specialists and one dealer). Each did a standard diagnostic check using software (easy to do) and declared that the car was most likely irreparable. Cyprus VW even told me to simply donate the car, telling me that repair would cost about $14,000. Phil from European Cars suggested that I go to Heights Autohaus. (Phil was not one of the four by the way but someone whose advice I trusted). Heights Autohaus repaired the car. The cost was not cheap, but certainly less than $14,000 and the cost of a new car. My impression is that they employ real mechanics/service people who can look past what the computer tells them and determine what can be done to fix the issue. Of course these guys can do standard repairs like brakes and oil changes, but their real talent appears to be actually resolving more complex repairs that others will not or cannot touch.

The moment I picked up my car, it started making noise. I had to bring it back four different times, and each visit I was given a different explanation. The final excuse was that the noise was coming from the brakes they "didn't replace" and that it was just a coincidence. That explanation made no sense. When I asked for a refund, they raised their voices and were rude instead of taking responsibility. I felt dismissed and not taken seriously. Their attitude changed completely once there was an issue. I would not return and would not recommend this shop.
