It was Monday morning & I realized that I needed a dress hemmed in time for Saturday. I brought it Into Tailor Studio & they were very busy, but so was everyone else that I called that morning. They were very accommodating by promising to have my dress ready by Friday, but they did charge an extra fee for the rush job. I was told that ahead of time on the phone when I called, but it was my fault for waiting until the last minute to get it done, so I couldn't complain. This was my first time needing a tailor service, I took a dress in that needed hemming at the bottom & a set of pants that are stretch and mesh that needed to be taken in at the waist. I wasn't sure if it would be easy to take in the pants due to the fabric and the design, but this studio did the most AMAZING job with my items. The dress is the perfect length I wanted & the pants fit me perfectly. I seriously cannot tell where the alterations were even made. So satisfied with my service here. I took a bridesmaids dress to get tailored. From the moment I walked in the door, the owner was very friendly. She asked me if I needed help changing into my dress and was very attentive to my needs. Actually marking the dress to hem took less then 10 minutes. Pricing is reasonable, my dress was 3 layers and I paid $70 to have it cut shorter. Not too bad. Lori is extremely sweet and good at her work! My sister and I came in (without an appointment) to get our bridesmaids gowns trimmed because they were too long on us. We came in a week and a half before the wedding, but that was no problem for Lori! She always asked for our opinions on how we wanted our dresses to look. In my gown, the original manufacturer left a needle. I didn't notice the needle until I had already brought it home from LA. I tried pulling it out, but it was deep within the material. Fortunately Lori was able to get it out. Plus, she altered my gown for a better fit because it was slightly loose on me. When my sister and I picked up our gowns, Lori asked us to try on our dresses to make sure that they got the right fit. She even continued to ask us if we wanted her to make further alterations, but we were already content. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that needs good last minute alterations. She is very willing to work with her customers and ensure that they get the right fit. Note: The place only takes cash or check, so come prepared! Although the work was done well and on time, I believe we were overcharged and question why they required cash payment up front. We were charged $150 to hem a prom dress and adjust spaghetti straps. I called before going and wasn't told they are a cash only business. As a result, when I didn't have $150 cash with me, they sent me to an atm and rushed me to return because it was near their 7pm closing time. Also, unlike the dry cleaner I have used for alterations in the past, they aren't open on the weekends. I wished I had used the alteration person at my dry cleaner...probably would've saved $100, not had the hassle of having to run out for cash, nor the inconvenience of not being able to pick up on a Saturday. read more

I am so happy I found Lori and her studio. I brought my wedding dress here on a whim from Yelp reviews and sometimes even that can be a hit or miss. But she is absolutely a master of this craft. My wedding dress, my mom's two mother of bride dresses, was all altered here along with several other items. She rushed one of the groomsmen's suits in a week and a half. She made a dress go from fits well, to fits like a glove!!! She peeled back the lace and did the alterations properly. She also gave me a bustle that held so well through me dancing through the night. She made sure I was happy with it and let me come in and try it on a few times before doing the final stitching. OK, this review is about a year late, but better late then never right? My experience with Lori, was amazing. I saw on yelp she had amazing reviews and knew I could trust her. I live in Bakersfield, so it was about a 2 hour drive to get there. Honestly, it was worth every second. In total I met with Lori about 4 times during the process. She took care of me and made wonderful suggestions that suited my dress and body. I got a BHLD Livia Gown Dress. I was also getting married in Italy so she kept that in mind when making suggestions. All of her suggestions were spot on. The dress fit me perfectly, i felt super comfortable in it, and it complimented my shape so well. Lori added cups to the dress, shortened the length of the straps, sewed on the belt, hemmed the length, cut off the train (the train was too fussy for me), and took in the dress right below my butt.
