Green milk tea with bubble boba tapioca pearls
    Yumi L.

This place would not be 4 stars in California but since its in Tennessee, Ill make it 4 stars because of the lack of places here that serve bubble tea. I searched up "boba" and this was one of the only 2 places here that served it. The ambiance was actually pretty nice with its wooden interior and cute decor. You place an order at the self serve kiosk which was convenient. I ordered a small/med green milk tea with boba and it came out to $5.90 before tip...talk about LA prices. The tea did not taste like tea at all, just sugar water. But the boba was surprisingly okay because it was sweet and chewy. But tbh i only ended up drinking 30% of my cup and discarded the rest of it.

Such a nice little restaurant! Staff are very friendly and the food tasted amazing! If you're looking for a quiet place to eat and relax this is it! I had the sukiyaki beef bento and it was delicious. I will be going back to try some of their other menu items!

We love tai chi bubble but the service has become really bad resulting in orders that are inconsistent and incorrect. The cashier got really rude with me today when I reordered a drink she forgot to ring up. When we got home I realized the it wasn't just the drink the entire order that was wrong. Previous times employees were arguing with each other or scrolling on their phones.

As I set forth on an extremely long road trip- 27 hours, to be exact- this was the perfect refreshment stop after the first 9-10 hours! First off, Taichi is in downtown Chattanooga (which it kind of hints to in the name), which is one of the most quaint and charming areas I've seen! I thought it would be more "big city" downtown type, but it wasn't at all. Maybe I just missed that part. Either way, I absolutely loved it and wished I could've spent more time wandering around. Second, once walking into Taichi and seeing what all they make, I really wished I had been more hungry. I was really in the mood for boba, but their poke bowls looked beyond marvelous. And ramen- when can you go wrong with a good bowl of ramen? This was clearly an authentic place, so the answer is you can't. The boba was pretty good- I got the thai tea which I had never tried before. It was really interesting, and I wouldn't get it again but I think Taichi made it about as good as you can get. My dad got a passionfruit smoothie with tapioca pearls and it packed a tart punch and was gone quickly. A last thing to mention is how adorable the whole place is! Stuffed pandas sitting out everywhere as decorations, can you get any cuter?! This will definitely be on my list when I return to Chattanooga.

A rice bowl with veggies and 1 protein.

It was a quaint 1st time visit. I walked over a few blocks from the bank where I had validated parking. I picked a bowl over the burrito because you get more rice. I really liked the brown sushi rice. I learned "sushi rice" has vinegar in it, which I would pick every time. The veggies tasted great. There were plenty of options. I would definitely double the protein next time because 1 was not enough for me. I really liked the tea and would come back again to try other flavors and maybe a burrito . I think it was priced reasonably. I thought the macaroons were good too. They offer to go lids for the bowls. I took my left overs home and had the rice for dinner again.

Good option for bubble tea... We arrived in Chattanooga late afternoon and stopped by TaiChi for some boba drinks. No dining in and everything was takeout option only. Inside we wondered what the sheet on the counter was that guests were completing... these would be normally asked by their servers but during Covid times guests were filling out a form for orders of ramen and poke bowl with plenty of options listed, choice of ingredients, sauces, toppings, flavors, etc....pick your own combination. Anyway, we just came for boba drinks and got them in decent time considering they were also filling online GrubHub orders. We ordered Coconut and Chocolate (w/ lychee) Smoothies. Mine was the chocolate slushee but they ran out of boba. Boo ¯\_('~')_/¯ They suggested lychee. I agreed which I regretted later on because after tasting it, sorry, but I wasn't a fan. I really wanted boba. I should've opted to not have it at all. Anyway, the drinks were delicious. Hubby loved his Coconut drink. We just needed a little sweetness that evening and Taichi was a perfect choice! Looks like a favorite downtown spot for young adults. Street parking. Review #1864

Poke Mazing and Taro milk tea
    Linda I.

Poke bowl was delicious and service was quick, but the boba tea is lacking. I ordered taro milk tea, it wasted watered down and the tapioca pears were too soft. The place was small but there were plenty of indoor seating areas. Metered streets parking are available close by.

So I'm currently living in Chattanooga as it is I'm a university student at nearby UTC. I had been looking for some very good Boba and Japanese cuisine. Thankfully, I did not have to go far to find that when I found Taichi bubble tea on Broad Street downtown. My sushi burritos and bubble tea were both amazing. Best I could ever ask for if you're looking for good bubble tea and Japanese cuisine in the Chattanooga area, This is the place you need to visit. I will definitely be back whenever possible thanks

Service: Meh Some of us are used to the service industry and certain standards. Fine, I can be chill if you want to have a boba drink while you're working, but DUDE...you seriously don't need to pick up your drink and suck it into your face every time a customer was in front of you. The attendant we had needed to have its green slush with boba while taking our order. No hello, no can I take your order, just slurp slurp. Options - good A fair amount of tea/slush/add on's Size/Price - good Located in downtown Chattanooga, walking distance from the Moon Pie General Store. You can get boba, poke, or ramen. This review is SOLELY on the boba order, drinks, and in/out. The same slurp guy, messed up my friends order. And then when he made the wrong drink, he took SO SO LONG to replace it. Now that I think of it, I wonder what was in HIS drink. If he hadn't been such a off putting experience, perhaps the rating could've been higher. Alas, it was okay and tried and done. Parking - Street

This is a cute place which has amazing Bubble teas and Pokè. A very cute ambiance for a date !! I'm a vegetarian so I got the poke with Tofu as the protein . The mango sauce is delicious! The poke bowl itself was refreshing and filling to have yumm I got the Watermelon milk tea with lychee bubble ! Yumm I can't wait to try the Ramen

The location has quick service, friendly staff. The poke bowls we chose were excellent! Lots of veggies options, and can be picky as you want. Only street parking, but paid parking lot near by.

Everything is increased by a dollar. Thanks, Joe Biden

Super super cute, easy to park and walk in, Private wooden booths, and it smells amazing. Be aware, inflation did increase menu prices by a dollar. But still very worth it. Taro is delicious, the lycee jelly is a little tough but very tasty. The ramen was hot, noodles perfectly al dents. The two downsides is: 1. it's only 1/2 of an egg, not a whole egg. An extra 1/2 egg is $1 2. There's two very thin slices of pork, but another small thin slice is $2. It's great for a basic bowl, but expensive if you're looking for something very filling or protein heavy.

This food was soooo fresh and DELICIOUS! I had a poke bowl. My daughter had beef tonkotsu ramen. Absolutely outstanding flavors, textures, and aromas.

I really appreciated how attentive everyone was throughout our visit! Our food came out in a good amount of time. I ordered the miso ramen, and let me just say--it was a 10/10! The flavors were absolutely spectacular. I've never had tofu that good, and it was served on the side. The way the edamame was seasoned and paired with the broth was simply TOO GOOD! My wife ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which she really enjoyed. I tasted the broth, and it was definitely different from mine, but in a good way! The broth was rich, deeply flavored, and had the kind of body you hope for in a good paitan. The chashu was outstanding--tender, flavorful, and generous--and the bowl included thoughtful touches like shishito peppers that complemented the richness rather than competing with it. The Crazy Roll was another surprise. Too many American specialty rolls rely on cream cheese and heavy sauces. This one was balanced, with tamago adding sweetness and texture without overwhelming the other ingredients. It was creative without being overdone. The vegetable gyoza were clearly handmade and exceptional. What impressed me most wasn't any single dish--it was the consistency. Every component felt intentional. You get the sense that someone in the kitchen genuinely cares about the food they're serving. This isn't a flashy or trendy place. It's a comfortable neighborhood Japanese restaurant that quietly delivers thoughtful, well-executed food. I'll definitely be back.
