I absolutely love this place! I ordered the bibimbap and they had options for meat or tofu (I chose tofu). The menu is vegetarian friendly and the food came out quickly. The restaurant itself is small, so the seating is limited, but the service is fast enough that customers can come in and out without much of a wait. They also offer ordering for takeout. I'd been here once before, a few years ago, and tried their pho and that was amazing! Unfortunately they no longer serve pho, which has been known as a huge hit amongst residents; they are changing their menu to be fully Korean. However, their other dishes are very good and the prices are reasonable + the portion sizes are pretty big. You won't regret eating here! read more

I've only been here once, and it's a place I would 100% return to! The kalbi sauce was good but the kalbi itself was more fat than actual meat which was kind of disappointing because it wasn't before (according to my boyfriend). However, I really enjoyed the bulgogi and the milk tea. I'll be coming back to try different food next time. read more

I'm a Korean from Southern California and the food here is just as good if not better than the food from the Korean areas in LA and Orange County. The veggie pajeon was sooo good I would definitely recommend it for appetizers, and the kimchi soondooboo is good. We also got the dalgona latte and it was really good. This was our first visit and we were very pleased; it was a really good midrange restaurant experience. The server told us that they had just gone to a menu with all Korean food (which worked for us -- we were there for Korean), and that meshed with the vibe -- although an established restaurant, there was a feeling of "refreshed" that we saw not just in the food, but in the service. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, warm and service-oriented. Our waiter was attentive, checking in often during our stay. One thing I'm picky about is kimchi, and they had good kimchi -- the server told us it was the owner's mother's recipe. The only slight negative in the food was the chicken was just a bit overcooked -- but upon asking our opinion about the food, the waiter gracefully thanked us and said he would pass that the chef. Everything else was good, and the portions were generous -- my wife and daughter didn't finish their entrees not because it wasn't good, but because they couldn't eat it all. They had Korean contemporary music on video (some pop, but not all -- most mainstream performers one doesn't associate with Kpop among them) at exactly the right volume -- loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud that you couldn't converse in a normal voice. We'll definitely be back, and if there's anything of concern, it's that they've set a standard to meet. read more

Read great reviews on here so went to see for ourselves. Started with the fried dumplings and regretted it - over cooked and bland. The spicy Korean wings were actually really good - large, more sweet than spicy and a unique taste. Husband got the honey dew boba tea which was chalky and mediocre. Both of us had the beef pho which was light on the beef with a broth that was ok but could be more developed. Pretty expensive too we thought. All and all decent for Chattanooga, but if you have ever left Chattanooga, you know that can't compare to Asian food elsewhere. read more

It's unassuming from the outside, clean and quaint inside. The food seems fresh, but I had a couple of issues that I can't let slide. The fresh spring rolls are ok, but entirely too thick and short - hard to eat and I ended up wasting half of each. Next, the pho was beef broth with the lightest flavor of something other than pure broth - no star anise and all the other fancies a well-developed pho stock should be every time. Finally, the reason it's a 3 vs 4-star rating is the pho did not come with Thai basil (provided after asking) or cilantro, as well as the Sriracha and Hoisin at the table are completely watered down to the point where the flavor was almost absent. read more

I come here from time to time with my friends and we like this place. I usually get the Tofu Banh Mi and switch between the Lavender Milk Tea and Honey Oolong Milk Tea with boba. Both milk tea flavors are really good. The pickled veggies and sauce in the Banh Mi are so delicious. One time a server spilled food on my white shirt and left stains on it, but other than that I like the food and boba. I still come back here. read more

I love, love, love Pho! I have two places I like to go. This is my 2nd favorite Pho restaurant. I was in the East Brainerd side of Chattanooga, so decided to stop for lunch. I ordered the Chicken Pho and summer rolls. The rolls came with 2 in an ordered and I chose pork over the shrimp and tofu. They are crazy stuffed with rice noodles and the dipping sauce has actual peanuts in it. Both were tasty but different from my #1 go-to spot, Noodles and Pho in Hixson. (I got takeout) In short, everything was great and I'll be back many, many, many times. I'd never had a bahn mi before and I was starving yesterday and in the area, so I stopped by Chopstix. I was first surprised at how nice it is inside. I wasn't expecting squalor by any means, but I do think the outside doesn't give the inside justice. I ordered takeout at the bar; the menu in the restaurant is more extensive than the one online. I ordered crispy spring rolls, a short rib bahn mi, and kimchi fried rice (I can never resist this dish when I see it on a menu). I ate the bahn mi in the car on the way home. It's wrapped in a thin sheet of red and white checkered paper and there's plenty of ingredients inside. I thought for sure it'd be messy in the car, but it wasn't at all. I was impressed, in fact. And it was delicious. The short ribs were a tad too cooked for me, but the flavor was delicious and it was complemented by the pickled julienned veggies. The cilantro gives a nice fresh bite now and then, and I have no idea what the sauce is that's inside but it's delicious. The crispy spring rolls were okay. I'd get them again, but only because going to an asian restaurant and not ordering spring rolls is against the law in my family. Part of the issue is that they were in a styrofoam case so by the time I got home, they'd been steaming in there and weren't crispy anymore. I enjoyed the rice noodles and veggies inside, though. I had the kimchi rice later that evening for dinner and it's the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had (I've had the dish at places in Huntsville, AL and Atlanta, GA). That's not to say my experience with the dish is extensive, but out of the 3 or 4 places I've had it, this one was the best. FYI, there's a small ramekin of dark spices that comes with the fried rice. I suggest not putting a huge pinch in your mouth to try and figure out what it is....because it's hot, particularly when you're not expecting it to be. The staff was really sweet, professional, and helpful. It looked like the two ladies behind the bar with whom I spoke really enjoyed their jobs. I will return! read more

This was a great surprise! We started our meal with the fresh spring rolls were refreshing and came with a side of sweet and spicy dipping peanut sauce. The beef bimibap was flavorful and came with a side of soup and kimichi. The kimchi was the perfect level of spicy and tangy. The combination pho was heavy on the cinnamon flavor, so be prepared for that, but also very delicious. I'm a big fan of their meatballs! Very good Pho! This is the Authentic Beef Pho. It was delightful. I would have liked it to be a tiny bit beefier broth and have a little more meat in the bowl, but it was still good. I think the only better place in town is Noodles and Pho but it is a trade off - the food came out here very fast and it is very slow at noodles and pho. We also tried spring rolls and the bubble tea slushy in Taro flavor. Spring rolls were good and the bubble tea was the best I've had in town. Also like to note that the service was five stars. Definitely doing a five star because good Asian food is hard to find in Chattanooga. Atmosphere is nice. Both the dining room and restrooms are nice. Staff was kindly and service was fairly quick. Only complaint on that is that our plates came out at different times. He had the Dakgalbi which was spicy but he loves heat. The flavor was good. It was served with white rice, kimchi, picked radish and zucchini. I had the stir-fried egg noodles with vegetables and added chicken. Flavor was solid, perfect noodles and vegetables were soft with a little firmness. Chicken was crispy so I found it a little dry. My husband loved it. I think I would have preferred beef. please tell your servers not to make fun of us folks who cannot manage a Chopstick. I used regular silverware cuz I've never been that coordinated to use chopsticks. Also don't tell me if the manager saw me using regular silverware to eat he would be mortified. It really made for an uncomfortable feeling judged eating experience for me even if the server thought he was being "funny". I didn't appreciate it. Made me not wanna ever go back unless i order takeout and can eat in the comfort of my own home eating how i want with what utensils i have. It didn't knock me off my feet but I enjoyed it. We had attentive people looking out for us while we were there and had no problems with drinks getting low or needing anything. What was really disappointing was the amount of broth given in my to go order. A little stingy when the broth only comes up to half of the noodles given. Barley 8oz? I was excited to try this restaurant but it turned out to be the worst Asian food I've ever had. I eat Thai and Vietnamese, Korean, frequently. One of things I love most about Asian food is how fresh it is. I ordered Shirt Rib Bahn Mi which was very difficult to get down the gullet. The meat inside was very old and dry, like beef jerky. It must have been cooked a while back and either reheated or sitting under a heat source for hours because it was like Jack Links on a bun, I couldn't even chew it. I was starving so I just swallowed big chunks like a snake. Now half the sandwich was jerky, the other half was giant chunks of inedible gristle fat. I was disappointed but thought to myself, give them a second chance before you write a bad review. That consideration went out the window when I opened up my order of spring rolls. They were burned to a crisp. So basically the restaurant was like... eff you, take our old meat before through it out and how about some burned egg rolls. First time going to Chopstix, and it was pretty good with some hiccups here and there. First off, the environment is great. Very well lit and decorated. Bathroom was clean, which is more uncommon in Viet restaurants--haha! Service was all right. They did mess up on our receipts a couple of times, but that was addressed quickly. Waitress said "shit" in frustration on the 3rd try to get the correct receipt. Haha But they were nice, and it was an honest mistake. What did we get: 1) Ham & pork banh mi - not traditional, could not finish it. Was my least favorite part of our meal. 2) spicy Korean wings - not on the usual menu, was a special for that day - AMAZING sauce and flavor. 3) special combo pho - good broth, good amount of veggies, great portion size as well! Pork Bahn Mi - Savory and well seasoned pork. Plenty of veg. One star off for the bread. Was really hoping for a legit french style bread roll or half baguette, alas, not so much. Too dry, crumbled where it should have held to support the meat. Winter and Spring Rolls - loved them! Overall a really bad experience getting takeout from Chopstix. We did not finish our meals and ended up throwing the food away. We started with an order of wings that I found of shard of metal on one and the others were covered in hair. I understand it's common to have a feather or a piece of hair on chicken wings sometimes, but this was a ridiculous/ disgusting amount. The basil fried rice came with only a couple of fried chicken nuggets in it. Went to this restaurant after reading the reviews. I ordered the seafood pho and it was not good. The broth had no flavor other than being salty. The salad condiments for the soup ( basil, bean sprouts etc.,) was old and withered. I could not believe the waiter would even bring a salad out looking like this. The food was good, the banh mi was really good. My partner loved the bulgogi. Hard to find good Korean or viet food in TN. Lived in KTown in LA for years and this was a good reminder of that. I will say the bibimbap wasn't the best I've ever had but I'm convinced it was because their gochujang tasted a little different than what I am used to. Will be back to try more!
